Recomend u too try play with randoms. Yeah in other games its gamble, but in this specific game 99% of random players is nice. For me this game is about cooperation and team spirit. Okay and now to important stuff, welcome to the family miner, ROCK AND STONE !

Fear not the Online Multiplayer, fellow dwarf; in over a thousand online missions, I have only ONCE found a toxic dwarf. He was thwarted BY GAME DESIGN. He was trying to be greedy about ores, when we ALL get the ores mined. I told him that, and he went back to playing normally. EVERY SINGLE DWARF I'VE EVER MET ONLINE OUTSIDE OF THAT HAS BEEN FRIENDLY. This community is a god damned hivemind that all operate on the same braincell, and 80% of that is dedicated to ROCK AND STONE. Seriously, every random out there is supportive and/or friendly. You'll have a blast in multiplayer.

you can eventually get mobility for engineer with rj250 overclock on the pgl that lets you basically rocket jump gives me the ability to die from fall damage on par with if not better than a scout Also solo squad 🍻 rock and stone

Good insight on why there's a dearth of drg content on KZfaq. The DRG gameplay i watch the most is usually heavily edited, like DrDevvi clips or NameIsTaylor videos, and that i feel is probably the best way to make it work

As always, I highly recommend trying the mod "Massive Content Revise" for people looking to get even more out of DRG. It provides an excessive amount of quantity, almost all of which being toggle-able. Best of all? It has no dependencies. You don't have to add 3 separate mods, one of which being abandoned in order to enjoy it. (though it is worth noting that upon turning off the mod you'll want to restart your game since the mod replaces some assets and that confuses the game a bit) The primary function of the mod has admittedly disappeared from its name. It used to be called Massive Content Randomizer because the main feature was increasing the amount of cave variations by adding almost every option to the available pool. (also adding extra secondary objectives) Its my go-to mod to help me get more out of the game. From making the utility tools of the dwarves even better to adding new mission types to break up the formula. But anyways on the topic of the video. I think alot of the more passive behavior regarding DRG comes from how repetitive the gameplay is. There's a large amount of people that want constant action, tiptoeing around danger and enemies before clearing em out. It's a large part of where Helldivers 2 gets so much popularity despite the games inconsistent quality. To these people not only is Deep Rock old news, but the pacing of Deep Rock, that acknowledges the player needing time to think, explore, and mine is too slow. Which is a shame, DRG provides alot and despite its faults the games overall quality is impressive to say the least. Not to mention that the pacing DRG uses is also present in its contemporaries, simply being overlooked.

1:00 As the guy that played 700 missions as Scout and max ranked it before even 10 missions in any other class, I actually DON'T agree with you. Try engineer first, his mobility is the easiest to switch to, and his weapons are similar but debatably cooler. He seems to be based around crowd control, with a lure grenade, repellent platforms, turret AOE effects on the zap pistol overclocks, and landmine-esque sticky grenades. Any point defense objective, Engineer and some preparation and you're good. He also has some cool overclocks like MINI NUKE LAUNCHER. Once that gets you used to the more grounded play style of the other classes, try driller for all the swarm control that was so (comparatively) hard as Scout. Freezegun is an OP support tool as it gives frozen targets TRIPLE DAMAGE TAKEN, and Fire kills surprisingly fast, and the sludge gun is very fun in a unique way. At least that's what I did after I was getting sick of scout from playing it THAT much. Nowadays, while Scout is still my fave by far, driller is second favorite due to his fun guns.

Definitely play with randoms after you get a little solo practice in. The game was designed in such a way to foster a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie in its players. I say all that to say, that the community is super welcoming of newbies and greenbeards. Nothing makes you feel more like a true dwarf than helping out a greenbeard on his path to a promotion.

Because Games with contraversy get more clicks than games with no flaws whatsoever. DRG does have flaws don't get me wrong (Especially with Haz 5+) but they don't meaningfully detract from the games content. DRG also isn't super fun to watch. It's great to play but watching videos about an individual mission or even an entire build is not the greatest content, plus it's community is still fairly small, so KZfaqrs who explicitly make DRG content are small in number and viewerbase.

Deep rock galactic content does decently on the algorithm but ends up creating a loop that only hits people who also watch deep rock content because people tend to comment "rock and stone" on every video of DRG they see. (aka me, and what I did before I even got halfway through the video, and yes I watched the whole thing.)

Play online man this game isnt like other games where people are dicks, the way the game is set up you have to be a team and 99÷ of the player base will help you or call out when they are ready for stuff. Its a very different game with each class helping each other. No dwarf left behind.

I don't want to be misunderstood, but the Scout is, in fact, one of the four best classes in the entire game, talking form the perspective os a player that mains all classes, but I do prefer Gunner, even tho I have all in the same level
