@@HarinderSinghAman Knowledge can be gained through being an autodidact learner. To self-teach, one should only need the basics. Education does not have to be formal. It doesn't involve a diploma. It is an arsenal of insight, factoids, critical thinking skills, and worldviews.

@@HarinderSinghAman education is not about just gaining knowladge, its also about character building. Education purpose is to create individual that the society want, depend on the value and norm that exist on that society. Gaining knowladge alone can be done without education

And also public schools over way more useful information than actual education itself. I mean look at the friends you made. This social knowledge cannot be taught at home or with Wikipedia

Education now is about grades and about passing. Student are not trying to learn students are trying to pass.

education is not about that, getting into the prestigious universities are about that. In anycase, education takes place once learning is done, some showcase learning through the tests they recieve and grades that follow. However, alot of persons dont show learning through writing it on paper and thats where they might fail the test and believed to be 'dumb' when in reality if they were to test what they have learnt in another way, the result would differ

This is an interesting video. In my opinion, all children should have to access education. I think what is happening here is that the system should adapt to the students. Everyone is different. Everyone has different learning styles. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Instead of, trying to make everyone to be alike, we should be trying to make the exact opposite: to encourage the different strengths that are in each of us, but also teaching how to work with those who have different skills than us. On the other hand, the goal of the students should be learning and shouldn’t be worried to pass exams.

Education may end with school or universities but learning will continue throughout the life you'll learn new things everyday in ur life and one's hunger to learn must never reduce, education itself can't bring u up in life having a masters or doctoral degree would only ease out ur life, it's when coupled with understanding nd learning things makes u a great personality

"Over a billion of us were living in extreme poverty while others had more than they needed." So the real question (one this well-meaning video does not address) is how the one group has so little and the other has advanced to a point where they have a surplus that would make all the kings and queens and rulers of the ancient world green with envy. Education is important but it is nothing without personal freedom. That's the key to unlock a society's potential. If you want to lift people out of extreme poverty, promote freedom. Governments can't legislate prosperity. Education is vital but without freedom, it will not lift society out of poverty. Get out of people's way and it will surprise you what they can accomplish.
