I've been wandering at night yesterday, when I saw a weird guy with a scythe. As soon as he noticed me, he rushed towards me. I tried to run away (he was like 50 meters away from me), but when I turned my head after a few seconds of running, he was standing right behind me. I think the reason Fiddle mid is bad and nobody plays him, or just lane Fiddle in general, is the matchups. The only good matchups Fiddle has are melee champs with no cc at all, anyone who is either ranged or can interrupt your drain, automatically counters you. It's because the way you play Fiddlesticks in lane is you walk up to them and press w, you hit them and the wave, if they stay they take a ton of dmg, if they walk away you get dmg on the wave and your w is immediately back up so you can do it again, you're kind of a lane bully. The problem is you can't do that to somebody who can interrupt you because your drain goes on full cooldown and their interrupt tool will probably be back up by the time you w is. And ranged champs can of course just keep their distance and poke you everytime you try to w the wave. Speaking of midlane specifically you have a lot of mages, the moment you press w they can shoot their entire kit at you and you either interrupt your drain and put it on full cooldown or get sent to base for free. In conclusion: with lane Fiddlesticks it's either bully or get bullied, and 90% of the time it's the latter. That's why he's bad. And the high winrate might come from people picking him only in favourable matchups or something.

I love playing middlesticks. Super fun "jump scare" play style and the most satisfying 5 man ult. I absolutely hate playing jungle so I decided to play him mid two years ago (I exclusively play mid and mages) and have been playing it ever since.
