You've been visiting the wrong churches. The purpose of a church is to spread the gospel, get people saved and baptized, to help Christians grow in the Word, to serve the Lord. Not to make profit, unless you go to TD Jakes' or Joel Olsteen's church. These wolves in sheep's clothing are after your money. The church needs money to pay their bills and maintain the building etc. I happily give my time and tithes to a church that gets souls saved. Besides all the material things you own were given by the Lord. If you love Him, you will give back to Him.
