I was playing violent video games before I could read and I have never hurt anybody nor had the urge to.Also,I think Hillary Clinton is the last person to be talking about this considering her husband got quite a bit of "hot coffee" while in the oval office.

There's a nice book called "Jacked: The outlaw story of Grand Theft Auto" that tells the story of the Houser brothers and the development of the game, and a good portion of it is about the hot coffee issue, I think every GTA fan should read it, it's an awesome reading

For a short story, the reason why Hillary Clinton was on the statue of happiness was because she basically tried to call out rockstar games because of the hot coffee mods for Gta sa she didn’t like that in the mod you can have sex with your gf so rockstar fought back by putting her as a the Statue of happiness, and making her hold up a cup of coffee as a nod to the hot coffee mod

I actually believe violent video games reduce the amount of violence in real world. Mostly because it allows us to release our violent urges in a way that doesn't hurt people in real life. Mortal kombat for example may be the reason why we don't have mortal kombat in real life.

Our good friends in Washington said the same thing about comic books, television, and rock and roll.

My parents also let me play GTA Vice City when i was 7 years old because i understood that GTA and Real Life are two very different worlds, one is a world where you have the freedom to cause chaos and have fun after a long day of work and the other world where you have to be respectful and have the brain power to not do the same thing you do in Video Games. Games like those didn't encourage me in violence, in fact, it taught me how to be a moral and respectful person.

Grand Theft Auto learned me a lot of important things like: 1.I learned english,thanks to the story cutscenes,i am not an American,so english is not my native language 2.I found a lot of talented artists who have a lot of great songs appering in game radio 3.I learned how to make jokes with deep meaning with dark humor This violent videogame learned me so much things and it is very inspiring for me everyday

I was able to play hot coffee on the PS2 with GameShark. It was a code developed by the cheat community that you could find on the web and manually enter it. I had a release copy, they may have removed it in future copies.

What really made gta so special growing up as a kid was the do not play game and if my parents find out I’m fucked. I remembered I walked downstairs and saw my dad play vice city and told me immediately go upstairs but I pretended I walked away and snuck behind the couch and heard the music. The gunshots and the language. I didn’t know what to think of it. It’s games like gta that make us into men.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to know what types of games your kids are playing but that doesn’t mean that banning games is the answer l. That’s why the ESRB was invented. Also if a person can’t differentiate reality from fiction then they shouldn’t be playing games.

Hey Professional. I have really been enjoying your content for the past couple weeks. GTA has been a childhood game of mine, they really all have amazing detail & story elements. I was curious about your opinion of the overall universe in gta and to ties real life. Kind of a strange question to ask without explaining. For example each game takes place in a city that is parodying a city in real life, but other real life locations exist (I know off the top of my head a reference to Ohio by Phil in GTA 4). We also listen to music from real life and a few of the musicians also exist in the gta universe. Does New York & LA exist in the GTA universe or do locations like Liberty City & Los Santos replace the real life counter part? I’ve always wondered this as I do believe both opinions could have truth to them.

Lol I convinced my parents GTA was a racing game so they bought it for me aged 11. I remember this kicking off a storm in game magazines I was reading at the time.

My dad is a gamer. The only M rated games I only played when I was younger was Red Faction II. I only played it because the main character has a gun that I like that's called Nano Grenade Launcher. The game did have some gore when exploding everyone and the characters swears sometimes. there are a few civilians in the game which will effect the game's ending if you killed them. And I played 2 others M rated FPS games the time my dad buyed a PS3 one is a underrated one with alien invasion. The first inappropriate scene I remember was one of them rips a soldier head off and another one called Haze. The Protagonist was freaking out sometimes. The screen fades to gray when seeing a few of dead bodies while hearing some voices in his head and when got lost. We encountered a jumpscare when he's saying it's just an animal terrified. My dad also had GTA SA as well and I wanted to play that game but he didn't let me because of what we now about. And he's also going to play horror games like Resident Evil. He locks himself in the room just in case if I come in. 3:36 and this is the main issue in the Latin Countries have. The adults doesn't know anything about video games because they probably thinks that every video games are just for kids. Just GTA and Free Fire are their main problems right now because a few parents are blaming at those games while they're the ones that should pay attention on what's going on in the game. If the game is violent then they should tell them to uninstall it (They actually have a cracked version from what I heard from them.).

My brother did get gta sa as a kid, but on strict rules by my parents cause as soon he would misbehave they would take the games away. Kept him in line and it went fine.

A note about Rob Reiner, the founder of Parents Action For Children: In 1994, he made a kid's movie called North which had some of the most racist and insensitive caricatures of other cultures in a movie, and it was specifically aimed at kids, unlike games like GTA. Total hypocrite.

To clarify the hot coffee mod, it made the sex mini game that was already part of the game files available to be played. You dont download anything else by the mod.

She basically described the ESRB. The ESRB is not affiliated with the US government but all major console manufacturers (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) refuse to license games that don't have a ESRB rating. She basically wanted to give the Federal government control over the ESRB which would open a whole new can of worms regarding the 1st Amendment.
