After all these years finally "the Metroid project "Dread" is nearing the final stages of completion"

I like that the emmi are showing samus' more physical attributes. She's the universes greatest bounty hunter. It shouldn't be all about her tech.

This is like a dream, I never thought we’d be getting a new Metroid, much less a sequel to Fusion!

For me, Metroid Dread is special because it's the first time that I can play a new Metroid game that hasn't already been known to the community. I've played Metroid since 2017 with Samus Returns, and have gone back to play Zero Mission, Fusion and Super Metroid. But those were all games known to the community or else remakes of existing games. To play a brand new game alongside the community, where nobody knows anything about the plot or spoilers, is huge as a fan now. And I'm looking forward to being on even footing with everyone since we are all starting from ground zero with Dread together.

I really hope that Dread turned to be so great and end up figuring between Game of the Year candidates. I don't really care about that, but it would boost the franchise popularity so much. Even though i love other Nintendo franchises more, i really want to live in a time where a new Metroid game is not a doubt but a reality.

The mere fact that we get to see flesh and blood Chozo is too damn exciting. We've seen remnants of their society throughout the series, but never actually met one face to face. I'm very curious to see why some of the Chozo decided to turn against their own kind, whether it was because of the Metroids or maybe an X-Parasite managed to take control of that Chozo with the large arm canon.

Making this double as a jumping on point was a smart move with how they probably are trying to revive the series, and because we haven't gotten a truly new mainline title since Other M. Really hyped for this game and hope it does well!!

Also, one aspect of the E.M.M.I I absolutely love is how even if you get the Omega Canon, it's not a guaranty kill on the targeted E.M.M.I. You'll still have to tear apart its armor before even thinking of trying it. And the way they move is just so creepy; their movements are way too fluid to be robotic, but they're clearly machines.

Honestly my hope for Prime 4 was that it would move the series forward and take place after Fusion. I didn't even think of Dread as a possibility. I didn't think Nintendo would ever go for it.

The hype is so real. It’s insane to believe it’s only 8 days away.

I’m actually hyped for this game, this will be my first true Metriod game. I only taste of Metriod classic version on switch online and had ton of fun and love the lore Metriod. Love the new enemy and seeing X-parasites got me invested as well. I’m done with my simulation and studying…. I’m going take an adventure and grabbing a power suit luckily it my color.

Im personally most excited for the EMMI encounters and the chozo in dread, unlike most others ive got into Metroid last year so i guess i know the pain of waiting for a new game

I have been playing Metroid games since I can remember, as far back as daycare. I started out on Metroid 2 on my very own gameboy. I was 15 when Fusion came out and have been waiting 19 years for some continuation to the story.

Prime was my first Meteoid back in 03 and i played most other titels since then. I cant wait for this new adventure!

This title is selling well too and I can't wait for another Metroid renaissance like hte early 2000s. Also I can't help but note thaat I love your videos and the fact that this video has music from one of my fave all time games Megaman Starforce 3 which actually is the last game I was as hyped for as I am with Dread.

The chozo appear in person and you see a chozo fight the space pirates in armor in the metroid manga. It’s a story set a few years before zero mission and it shows samus’s past and her training with the power suit. As of the end of the manga, about 11 chozo still live within GF protection. (It’s unclear how long they live after the end of the manga since theyre all extremely old by that point) the manga is apparently canon and is directly referenced in other m.

I got a theory that the chozo created ridley. We know that some nes metroid manuals say that ridley is native to Zebes. According to the manga the chozo were inhabitants to zebes prior to the space pirates taking over. We can also pull that ridley looks nothing like the space pirates that he commands. Since the chozo created the metroids and the mother brain the idea of the chozo creating ridley has some sense into it. It also explains why ridley is native to zebes and not the pirate homeworld. Why ridley chose to leave the chozo to terrorize the galaxy is left to be speculated.

I'm really excited for this, more than I was for Returns when it came out. Can't come soon enough.

I think the little extra is to add some more excitement to the backtracking. Because now parts of retreading old places is kind of protracted boss battle in a way. Were yea need to right upgrade to end the boss battle very clever.

I am so incredibly hyped for this game! It will be the first new game since I became a fan of this series, and also the first game that I will be able to play on it's original hardware. I have loved all of the other games so much I can't wait!

This game looks like it could be the start of a brand new story arc across multiple games, not only as a conclusion to the original saga of 2D Metroid. I am so excited to finally play this game after so long!

I agree that it does seem like Metroid Dread came out of nowhere! When I was a kid, I was aware of Metroid thanks to Super Smash Brothers, but it wasn't until my high school years that a classmate and friend of mine talked me into giving the games a try, and I started out with Zero Mission, and over time, I have played about 90 percent of the franchise! I had been wondering for a long time regarding what happened to Samus after her escape from the BSL station in Fusion, and it looks like the answer to that question is finally coming. I had been on the fence to get a Switch but when I heard about Dread's announcement, that was enough to seal the deal for me to get one and pre-order Dread! Now I'm so excited to play this game! My only hope now is that it doesn't end in a cliffhanger or somehow leaves more questions than answers!

I've been on a massive Metroid craze lately. Finished Zero Mission, playing through AM2R and Samus Returns to compare them, and then onto Super and Fusion. Might even squeeze some time into the Prime Trilogy.

Nintendo had a hard time finding a developer to take on the project of developing Metroid Dread as well.

Hey Orpheon, did you know that when you use the grappling hook on a Metroid in super Metroid then it immediately killed the Metroid? And yes I'm excited for Metroid Dread!

Im excited but im also nervous with how it'll go with regards to the Chozo and story. Be quite sad if we end up with a midiclorian situation where an attempt to actually explain the storyline just demistifies the whole mythos. Before Other M came along everyone was free to project whatever personality they wanted to see onto Samus. Of course, fingers crossed they knock it out of the park.
