House not heating.
Found a boiler not heating customer home. Failed flue damper. Replaced 6 inch flue damper. Tested system. Replaced thermocouple. Repairs complete.
Weil McLain Boiler.

My pilot was on but would not heat until I watched this video and saw something I would have not thought of. The damper was not in open position. Wiggled it a little and started to rotate and shortly after the burner turned on!! Thanks for the video!!

If the damper is getting stuck u can put it in hold open and yes u will lose 2% efficiency if a new damper is not on budget. U can just replace motor or the whole assembly.

The customer needs to separate his workshop from the boiler room with a sealed wall and door. The tarp isn't cutting it. Thxs for the vids!

Damper should be before diverted. Depending on the customers budget I sometimes leave it open and remove from burner circuit.

I just made a service call to my service provider. My WMCln boiler will not light, but I dont seem to have a flue damper on my boiler vent. I think I have an older style. I have the HE II.

Do you have a thermocouple on your boiler or is it controlled by electric pilot

Lol. I wish we made everything here. They say that things made in CHYYYYNA take jobs, but if they keep making things like shit, we will have a lot of repair work. Lol.
