I just lost my 2- month old kitten this early morning. He's really unwell for the last days and doesn't want to eat and it sucks not being able to bring your pets to the vet. I miss you Cassius. Too young. Please love your pets more everyday.

I have a kitten that used to not eat. He was at the weening age, too. He became really sluggish, and tired. We stopped giving him wet food because he wasnt eating it, and transferred him to milk formula from a bottle. It worked!!! He was eating again!!!! He even ate some wet food! He's more energetic than ever!!! Hes a trouble maker now -_- He is climbing EVERYTHING!!!!!

As of the last 12 hours My kitten has been sluggish and tired too, was fine the last week since adoption. Do you recommend I try bottle feeding with KMR milk? Let me know if you have any thoughts on what happened to your kitten. Thank you.

@@KyleJaySmith Yes, I reccomend feeding it KMR milk. Since it is away from its mama and isnt eating its food, it's good to go back to basics to regain appetite. And that's also what I think happened to my kitten. Kittens typically lose appetite in certain foods they do not care for. He lost interest in wet food, didnt eat, and became sluggish and tired from the lack of food. We have him KMR, and he loved it, and after one day of bottle feeding, he ate his wet food again. That's where I get my "Lost his appetite" theory. You're welcome.

My kittens are not eating well as well. Also at weaning age. They lost so much weight, the only thing they wanna do is nurse their mama but I’m worried it’s not enough. I have tried so many wet food, they do eat but only a tiny bit. Should I supplement with KMR?

When my sister moved away our cat stopped eating, we had to pet him while he was eating and give treats trying to stimulate his appetite. When I rescued my Babycakes she one day stopped eating, she was on the brink of death because of malnutrition, dehydration and infection. When she got better the doc gave me a paste like vitamin that boosts the appetite. I also tried many brands to see which one she found tastier and used wet food as well. Now after 3 years she's most beautiful than ever and very healthy. Thou she might be a little too spoiled and refuses to eat if I don't add some wet food... Cheeky brat

Guys, maybe it's because she's like me who rescued abandoned kittens. We try our very best to provide their needs, we put time and effort, still veterinary is very costly for me, especially I still study and I don't have my own income yet. Some people also experience financial crisis, like my family and I cannot just ask (or even beg) my parents to lend me money to take my adopted kittens to the vet. Just please, if you can't help, don't judge.

Flee anemia: just got a foster that’s not eating. It came with a ton of flea dirt. If you can’t afford the vet and want to at least try. Give it a gentle bath with regular dawn dish soap. If you see flees pick them off with some tweezers. My fosters doing a lot better by me simply giving him a bath and getting the fleas that were sucking all its blood out. Poor thing. Anemia can make them not eat. The vet checked and that’s all that is wrong with it. Now it just needs time to heal and make more blood. I’m doing can wet food for kittens and some high calorie kitten treat gel that I put a tiny bit on the teeth and he licks it. Got his sugars up which made him act a lot more like a kitten should act. - if the kittens very anemic the gums are pale pink or white vs normal pink. **

Vets are like chocodile..they eat all your money..they charge u too high..thats why so mamy animals are dead.Owners dont wanna take their pets to the vet if out of budget.

I use a small syringe of kitten replacement milk and give it to them . Usually a couple of quick feedings brings back thier appetite. If the kitten's weight is known, it's also possible to give them an injection of B complex vitamins.

If a Kitten or a cat hasn't eaten for 24 hrs, a visit to the Vet is a must. Watch the kitten's behavior so you can express to the Vet to give the kitten the proper medical care. Change their diet, try giving a kitten KMR formula, if that doesn't work, give gruel diet ( wet food and water or formula) stir into an applesauce texture, give them kibble (hard food mixed w/water), even offer adult wet cat food, try these tips to see if your kitten's appetite perks up but PLEASE do not delay in taking your kitten to a Vet if he/she hasn't eaten in 24 hrs, their losing weight is crucial to their survival. BTW....kittens should be weaned bet. 3-4 wks old and formula w/their wet food til they are 8 weeks old. Currently I'm a Foster Mom of six 5 weeks old kittens whose Mom went MIA almost 2 wks ago, one of them suddenly isn't interested in nursing from a bottle anymore but will eat lil bit of wet food mixed with the formula and affecting her growth, her sister and brothers are alot bigger than she is.

my cat adopted my son who later moved to England, I kept the cat and yes, she likes to eat in the room where we are and/or if I sit down by her while she eats. LOL. I look at it like a nice rest/pause for myself...my self-care time.

My kitten is only a month and a half old. Before she was given to me, she wasn't weaned yet, and fed by drinking her mother's milk. By the time I got her, I noticed she was skinny. You can't exactly tell by looking at her, as her fur covers it but I can feel her ribs, more than feeling my own. I try feeding her, but she seems to be very picky on how she eats. I have to either feed her by finger, by spoon, or by having a flat plate and placing the wet food close to her. She doesn't drink a lot of water, I suppose it's because she doesn't like the feeling of her whiskers touching the bowl. Can someone help me? How do I... Fatten her up? She is my 2nd kitten in over 6/7 years, I don't want to lose her.. :( She is Very energetic, especially during the mornings, so I hope she isn't having any problems...

This may sound brutal but buy a narrow spoon and a syringe, and “strongly encourage” them to eat and drink. Hold their head steady, gently bring the spoon to their mouth, get the spoon in and scoop it off in their mouth. You may have to push the spoon into the mouth, which is why a very narrow spoon is recommended. Same with the syringe; hold their head in place and body flat, wedge the syringe in the corner of their mouth, and SLOWLY put milk into their mouth, given them time to swallow and breathe after. They might not like it when it’s happening, but they’ll gain weight and by generally more energetic and upbeat. It’s harsh but it’s that or let them starve and get sick or die. I don’t enjoy doing it at all (it’s stressful and I don’t like doing things that like to animals), but the priority is getting food into them. Kittens need lots of food to grow, and weight loss is a major cause for concern. Suck up the sympathy and basically make them eat.

Dont know if this will help but try giving a bit of warm kitten milk,my kitten doesn't really eat his wet food just nibbles but hes always got kitten milk down and dry food too xx

My cat had a fall from first floor and subsequently got attacked by another cat, who was in my garden already. I took her to vet, she is undergoing treatment, and it's been 5 days, she is not eating anything, I'm trying to feed her milk with syringe, but she is reluctant to it as well. She is drinking water on her own thankfully but not eating at all.

Got same problem with my 2 months old kitten! We brought him to emergency vet today and they didnt help any , vet said they didnt see any problem but charged us $250 !! How aweful !! And told us in order for them to cure him it needs another $600!! No wonder people dont go to vet this days !!! Anyways it happened after he ate a burger with wrap on it 3 nights ago (when we were asleep), so the next morning he started to have diarrhea and not eating since then only water. Now I'm starting to force feeding him with milk. So I'm praying for some improvement 🙏 I dont wanna lose my pretty kitten 😘

Yes true. Same for me. When I bought my kitten I was told to buy a big pack of dry cat foods. But he prefers wet cat food. I think it's better to buy a small pack first before buying a big one. 😺

I just got my cat. He's a month old and he seems extremely comfortable around me. Though, his food bowl isn't in my room wich is where is is most of the time. Therefore he doesn't eat any food given. He won't drink milk or water, won't eat hard or soft food. If you can give my any advice on what I should do to get him to eat please do as quickly as possible because I really love this cat.

I am late but at a month old a kitten isn’t yet weaned from it’s mother’s milk. It needs Kitten Milk Replacement (in a bottle, not a bowl, please google kitten milk bottles) not cow’s or any other animal’s milk. Within three weeks it will start to eat gruel from a bowl and then wet food. Then it will still need the milk replacement in a bottle from time to time. They might need you to hand feed them until 8 weeks of age. Feeding on time is extremely important to keep an orphaned kitten alive. Sincerely hoping your kitten survived this far.

is it possible for my kitten to stimulate it's appetite or possibly change her eating style? her case is that when i give her her food, she eats a little portion then leaves it to roam around. after that, she eats again but i sometimes wouldn't know if she's done or not. i'm really concerned, she's my first cat.

Mine do same. It's quite normal of them. They eat as much or little as they prefer. So I just stand by or perch myself someplace close, wait till they're through, then cover up the remainder if any. After about 3 to 4hrs or so later, I add in some fresh warm food to evoke their interest in the meal, then have them eat again. On days I won't be around, they eat at least twice

Make sure she doesn't have fleas-- that starts the entire cycle all over again. When the cat eats fleas, the eggs hatch inside the cat and then you've got nasty wee worms. Definitely see a vet, please! 💛💛💛

got a rescued 1 month old kitten two days ago . it'd diarrhea and fever and wasn't eating anything .as per as I know it was starved three days prior I got it. so I'd to force feed and give him medication ,saline. now that he can walk he'll just hide away and hiss at me every time I try to see where its hiding ! And still won't eat by itself. How can I feed it without stressing it more

My cat is very finicky. He only eats a little at a time. I worry. There are days he'll barley eat at all. Then the next day he'll eat well. During the heat wave I thought he'd never eat. Vet wanted me to bring him in. $145 just to look at him. I have a really good Vet, but the prices are very high. Just can't afford it. I take excellent care of him. What do you do when you can't afford your Vet anymore? He's going to be a year old next month and needs well check. I just don't know what to do. And I'll never ever, ever give him up. He's my son. I feel less than, because I just do not have the cash. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Same happened with me few days ago , I took it to the vet and he said I should feed it water cooked rice and mixing it with just a little bit of milk until become cream with an injection needle (but of course u remove the needle head ) or with a baby bottle for kittens

i have a kitten...she's about 2-4 weeks old. i found her in my backyard sitting on an extremely dangerous fence. i've had her for less than 24 hours now, but she will not eat or drink...any suggestions? every 2-5 minutes i check outside to see if i see her mother but i still haven't. i've never had a cat before and i don't know how to get her to eat. she won't let go of me at all. i can't even pee without her. does she think i'm her mother??? i'm so confused

Please enlighten me I don't really know how to treat right my 2 a half months old kitten. She suddenly had tapeworms and it grew more bigger, she lost appetite and stop eating (idk why but base on my research it's because of the tapeworm). Use unused and new ink filler tubes to feed em or use feeding bottle with small nipple or new and unused syringe and try to feed em i did this with my 2 week old kitten

Im dealing with my kitten which is 7 weeks plus that is not in an appetite. Currently she's consuming antibiotic. The veterinarian did ask to force feed her with kibbles but she will vomit it again. Now im relying on bottle feed with milk and a little wet food that she like but consume a little. What should I do to make her eat well. Hiiii thereee. I need your help, my cat is 5 months old and she barely eats her dry food. We've tried different brands but she just wouldn't touch it. But we did notice that she'd somehow eat if I place it in my hands and directly give it to her tho the amount is still abnormally too small for normal cats. She then would yell to ask for food but won't eat what we give to her, causing her to be very loud most of the time. What do I do to get her to eat?

i got a new kitten and i can’t find the food the cat had been previously eating in my area, i got some food for her and she never eats it (it’s wet food) i gave her milk (cats milk) and she only drinks the milk and i’m extremely concerned if i’m doing something wrong

Hi i am VERY worried about this cat i just adopted. So here's the back story: my dad was driving at the streets and he found this little kitten there. He was REALLY skinny and can barely walk so he took him home. The kitten won't eat any food so we brought him to the vet the next day. The vet gave us some medicine for his immunity system and some recommended cat food. but until now he won't eat anything I am very worried because he's currently 3 months old and he looks like a 1 month old cat very bony and is not active at all so if youre an expert PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me some suggestions of how to treat this little kitten it'd be very helpful.

I think my kitten is being picky … She was eating the wet food but now she doesn’t want it. She loves warm goat milk and I’ve caught her eating her big brothers dry food. I copied the lady on your video and added water to some dry food and she ate it! Hopefully this is a start in the right direction 🙏🏾

I have a question, we have a cat who gave birth to 2 kittens and we thought we can let the mother take care of the kittens. However, I don't know if something is wrong with my cat because she never picks them up even when she needs to. The kittens are over 6 weeks old and they still aren't eating meat and still drinking milk from their mum. Is there something wrong and we need to do something or is this normal?

my kitten has depression. It was always with its brother but someone kidnapped it's brother from then it is not playing, and always sleeping and now stopped eating I tried to give it it's favorite food but it still doesn't eat it's only drinking water. This weekend we are taking it to vet if it still hasn't eaten anything 😭😰. (I cried while writing this because I was the one who took care of them from when they were kids. And the kitten who was kidnapped was alike my passed away cat we used to say he used one of his life's to come back to us😭)

what about kittens who are 2 weeks old? I'm taking care of a 2 week old kitten at the request of my cousins who got a pregnant cat. the kitten is small and only 90-100 grams, which I know is v v underweight. You can buy flea treatment online, it is a lot cheaper then going through the vets. I'm in the UK and use advantage.

Okay a lot of people need to understand two things first if your pet is not doing well always bring it to the vet to get him checked up by a professional AND SECOND if you want to have a pet whether it’s a cat or even a bunny you will always have to keep in my mind that you will have to pay for certain things which are a MUST you can’t just say oh boohoo my kitten not feel so good but me no money for vet :( then why the fuck did you think it was a good idea to have a pet in the first place. A pet is not some toy it is a living creature that needs just like you to go to the doctor and eat and live!!! So please do not have a pet if you are not prepared for the responsibilities that are to come. It will not bring you or your pet any joy if the poor fella has to die in your arms because you couldn’t afford to get it help and treat it.

He has passed away today. December 17th, 2022 @ 9:24AM…he has severe Parvo virus passed down to him from the shelter I got him from…he spent his last minutes loving me and just trying to get better. Please get your pets tested t immediately if you see any symptoms like these in the videos, you can also get home test for $30

6 weeks is too young for them to be eating me they still should be nursing from their mother my kittens was 7 months and they still was nursing from their mother from time to time at 7 months old don't give them milk cats on able to digest dairy products allow them to continue to drink say mother's milk and you can leave dry kitten food out for them just give him a little of the dry kitten food food Purina dry kitten food no soft me and got to make sure it's kitten food you can go to your local animal Humane Society that's in your state and they offer free vet for animals try getting the phone number for your local Humane Society in whatever state you live in call call them up tell him your problem you don't have money for a vet and they would most likely tell you to bring your cat in. And if you call some vets local vets in your state some doctors offer a payment plan for your animal if you don't have the money right away to pay but try those steps right there make sure you give them water but right now all they need to stay mother's milk

I have spent so much money for every type of canned and dry cat and kitten food for my 3-month-old kitten and she will not touch it. She only wants formula or cottage cheese or mozzarella cheese or oatmeal. Also she goes crazy for sliced turkey breast which I know is not good for her but she will eat that. I just don't know what to do I've tried all the helpful hints of adding water and adding formula and trying different types and brands period also she does not like to drink water. She will only drink formula and evaporated milk. She has refused human canned tuna .. human canned salmon ..eggs .. just about all meat and fish of any kind. Besides most Dairy she likes fruit and goes crazy for cantaloupe and Dole peaches and cream fruit cups. I am just stumped and I don't know what to do!

A month ago our cat gave birth to two kittens, we gave one away, but the kitten we kept isn't eating, he drinks water but he doesn't want to eat, although he did eat a small mice that his mom caught for him. But he wont eat anything we give him.. we have only have catfood here, so i tried wetting some and giving it to him but he won't eat 😞 And we dont have money for a vet, so we always do everything ourselves when it comes to our pets... But he's getting really thin, i have a feeling he's probably gonna die.. 😢😞 The worst part is i think the mother lost her milk prematurely.. its only been about 5 weeks but her nipples are so small..

Give the kitten royal canin mother and baby wet food or minced boil chicken. Its in paste form and easy for cats to digest. He wants high protein diet not cheap dry kibbles. He is eating mice to get high protein diet. They are meat eaters and dry kibbles are not natural diet for cats.

@@umaimahpatel1599 don’t worry bestie, if your cat didn’t eat for few days it doesn’t matter (based on my cat) my cat now is a healthy cat ! I didn’t take her to the vet and I just waited until she got used to the food I gave ! But watch out, if it’s up to a week or more then please take your cat to get a check up !

When my cat stopped eating, I offered him just a bit of baby food meat, beef, chicken, turkey or ham. Just a single-ingredient food, touched to his nose did the trick. If the cat can't smell his food, he won't eat but touching it to his nose made him lick it off and I was able to get more food in him until I could get him to the vet. Same day of course.

I do that with my adult cat... he's a picky moggy, but if I let him lick the food off my finger and slowly lower it towards the bowl each time, he eventually starts eating out the bowl. Good trick, eh?! =^. .^=

Wow....nice trick! It wont be long before my new kittens got their first cold and they will stop eating....it's always like that....they die cuz they refuse to eat when they got their first cold. And ofc, the cold is contagious and usually made me left with 1 or 0 of them being alive.....the mother also refuse to eat when it has cold...but usually after a few days and some force feeding, it recovers just fine after 2-3 days

I have a kitten who lost so much of weight, he's thin and i think he's dehydrated coz of parasites maybe, im nor sure. So i asked a friend of mine who i think expert with pets, she suggested me to shringe my kitten with 15ml water mix with a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt every 3 hours. Will that really work ? We couldn't afford to go to the vet unfortunately. But we would try our best to help the lil fella. Any experts here agree with that suggestion btw?

My kitten won’t eat at all. Still suckling from mom but won’t eat any wet foods like his other siblings. But he’s still very energetic. I changed the food twice. Siblings clearly will eat anything but not this little guy...maybe I’m going to have to feed him through a syringe thing to see. If that doesn’t work, I’ll get some medical advice 😣

@@kurtmonterde1143 hey! So yeah he started eating! What I had to do was separate his bowl from his siblings & he ate like that. He was so weird but he would not eat around the other kittens lol.
