Dawood said it about Pakistani stuff: " In other countries, players respect minus frames but majority of the pakistani players have setups even on minus frames so your attack is compromised". Another thing you may have noticed about Tanveer hitting so many lows was because Atif claimed that CBM doesn't duck a lot

Koreans don't panic against lows they can't see or chipping damage lows. Very old school way of playing that I personally grew up with. Everything has a pro and a con though. Pakistan knows they rather eat the little lows than duck and eat big mids.

This is still helping me immensely. Coming from other fighting games. There’s so much info about tekken that seems to be tribal knowledge. Best breakdown of a match I've seen yet. Learned a ton from this. just wanted to add something I noticed At 22:26 that final moment in round 2 of game 3, tanveer ducks, gets ws1 into d2. In doing so covers a panic low, throws out his fastest move from that position, AND spends Starburst. D2 there isn't just safe on block, it's +8. So smart bro. He is him.

Makes sense to me, optimal movements can be punished too, but are harder to do so. Changing your tempo by doing a slower attack could hit your opponent while they assumed they could go back in unpunished. At that point you just do your best to start punish game.
@gregggo

I can relate if it's about using lows a lot. I play Lars and when I have to play against players with a strong bias toward the defensive playstyle (which is the default in Tekken 7) and people mostly standing and not ducking much, it is really hard to launch them, especially with all the minus frames that Lars has on the block. This forces me to spam lows like crazy to force the opponent to duck more often, otherwise, they just don't care and the launch will never hit. Additionally, Lars does not have any natural launcher on low so I need to spam them like crazy to make the opponent scared even a little bit. I also do my best to take as many turns from the opponent as possible and mix them in neutral so they don't get the chance to punish me for my giant minus frames. Overall seems effective (as for Lars at least xD) but it is super risky and requires a really good reading of the opponent because one unlucky low is enough to get launched by the low parry. That's why I'm super excited for Tekken 8 because it will force people to be more risky instead of sitting in a block all the time. This will move the needle more toward mind games playstyle instead of optimization of punishes. Lars also has safer moves in Tekken 8 overall, so it will be much more fun to play him.
@muhdazhad04
@muhdazhad04 7 ай бұрын
I agree with you, I also play Lars and back in the olds days when I was focusing on frame data a lot I was always afraid to use any Low with Lars (almost every low is launch punishable😅) But when I spam low like crazy it condition them to start ducking, then I can open up with some mids and potentially launch them. Sometimes you just gotta test their defense and stop being on the defensive side
@gregggo
@gregggo 7 ай бұрын
@@muhdazhad04 yee... Lars players in Tekken 7 just have to put in a lot of extra work and risk their lives almost every second, otherwise, nothing can be done :D. We could see that already in part in Nobi's games on Tekken 8 Showcase.

I am Pakistani and I can tell why Pakistani players are so good. Every town has at least one arcade game shop where players have a chance to compete rather than just playing story mode. In fact console is so so expensive in Pakistan and online playing is also very rare because internet isn't speedy enough with zero lagging. And economy is also not so good to support world class tournaments. Therefore arcade playing is the heaven where stars are produced like Arslan Ash and Hafiz Tanveer. Good work stars. At least world recognizes what Pakistani's can achieve especially in this undemocratic regime.

It is likely subconscious behavior trained over many many matches. However, they are also likely able to perceive/modify this behavior as professional players
@talhashahid9
@talhashahid9 7 ай бұрын
Subconsciousness is the best word to describe it. I don't think every player thinks that much in real-time. They subconsciously think of action-reaction moves and their outcomes. Getting that feel is pretty common through practicing a lot versus many random players using the characters you play more often. But when an analyst puts "the subconsciousness of players trained over thousands of matches including the fact that they're really good players" into words. It will definitely sound impossible xD

I’m Pakistani and this might sound weird but it’s lowkey due to how we use our hands when we eat. That’s my theory at least. If you look at how Arslan rests his fingers on the buttons, it’s the same way we use breads such as naan to pick up bites of meat/veggies while eating. It’s kind of hard to explain, but there’s just a cultural adjustment to a specific hand position that makes it really easy to play w proper hand/wrist posture for extended periods of time. Any Desi (brown) person who has seen how Arslan or Pakistani players press buttons will probably recognize what I’m talking about.
