Postnasal syndrome or postnasal congestion syndrome is quite common in the practice of an ENT doctor. Often at the reception you have to deal with such a complaint as mucus in the throat, many have already tried all kinds of therapy, have even gone through surgical treatment, but the mucus still remains and interferes with life! After long practice and observation, I came to the following explanation of this syndrome. The mucous membrane lining the upper respiratory tract is one organ - a natural protective barrier against conditionally pathogenic microbes that we breathe. Most often, as a result of acute respiratory viral infections, weakened immunity during pregnancy and a number of other reasons for this, the protective barrier weakens, conditionally pathogenic microbes are introduced into the mucous membrane and start a degenerative process in it. In which the autonomic nerve endings are also irritated by microbes, which leads to their pathological impulses and disruption of the goblet cells, which usually begin to excessively produce mucus, which flows down into the throat from the anatomical features of the pharynx. The difficulty of treating this syndrome is that there are no drugs with which you can restore the mucosa. With the help of inhalation therapy conducted by me, it is possible to sanitize, restore the mucous membrane, stabilize local immunity, which allows solving such a problem as postnasal syndrome!
