Isak is great but he’s on target to be injured 50% of the season. Only way that can work is if him and Jesus can sync and alternate their injuries.

I've always wanted Isak at Arsenal since Odegaard signed for us. Their chemistry on the pitch at Real Sociedad is what made people take notice of both players.

I would say Gyokores is versatile too, he carries the ball very well, runs the channels, links up well and can prolifically score AND assist, mostly of all his availability is much better than Isak

As much as I do like Isak, coming to the Prem where is more physical, his availability is an issue. Whereas Gyokeres has played in the championship when it's a bruiser league as well as now the Portugal League where its technical, he just seems to have it all plus availability. He's good enough to play across the front 3 and will be about the same price point. Gyokeres wins for me.

I Just dont get, everyone goes to say we want a proper number 9, then we go on to look for someone versatile similarly to Jesus, as if thats not enough he is not a 20+ goal striker, going for Isak because of Versatility is the same as going for another Gabriel Jesus in my opinion

I prefer Gyokeres. Isak looks so thin and to make matters worse, he has been getting injured a lot. You could say maybe Newcastle has something to do with the injuries, but what if the physicality of the EPL is also a factor. We already an injury prone striker in Jesus, that’s ok for now. Also I believe Gyokeres has the ability to be versatile, he can use both feet, he has experience with English football, and he is a ball carrier as well. So Gyokeres over Isak for me. Plus Gyokeres has proven he can score about 30 goals a season, i don’t think Isak has done that yet.

Buying a player with a prolonged injury record is a massive red flag for anyone. Personally, Isak is simply not strong enough for the Premiership. Naturally slim players struggle in positions that require strength and robustness. It's not surprising that so many of his goals are scored outside the box. If it was a choice between him, Toney and Gyokeres, all for similar amounts, I would take Gyokeres. Gyokeres is a monster in the box, though more headers would be welcome ❤😂

As a Swede being a Gooner since 1996 I could never imagine any fan believing two out of four striker options for my club to be Swedish :) I’ve watched both Isak and Gyökeres since they were 15-16 years old, Isak is clear as a footballer but his injuries since joining the EPL and our club’s record of player injuries worries me

Dont agree with the analasys on Gyokeres versatility though, he can definatly play left wing easily n prolly right as well even though I haven´t actually seen that myself over the years

He is injury prone, I don’t think that’s really debatable at this point and we have a horrible history with injury prone players, even now - Partey, Jesus, Tomiyasu, Zinchenko, Tierney… the list goes on

I watched some videos on Gyokeres. What actually impressed me is that he actually made a lot of his goals with his own skills. He can score with both feet. He has the ability to turn and shoot. He isnt just a positional player that is in the right place at the right time. That makes him dangerous in the Salah, messi, Mbappe style. He would need to migrate those skills to the PL. How much of what he does is confidence based, I dont know, but I think it is a big factor which might be an issue if he struggles. With Isak, his last 2 seasons have had enough injuries to concern me. Both players have concerns, but Gyokeres upside could be way higher than Isaks.

Another plus with Isak is that he played with Odegaard in Real Sociedad!!

If you ignore his breakout season he misses an average of 10 games a season and that's before he sets foot at Arsenal where you are guaranteed to miss 10 games a season anyway with their historical squad injury record taken into a account. On a risk matrix not worth it

Splash on Gyokores, with the quality we have over what hes playing with now plus we're a big club we have more chances and teams stand off, hes physical enough for the prem and hes young so he should get better.... 🏆😐

Zirkzee is my fav and for me is worth a punt, Gyokores also looks worth a punt too but think I prefer Zirkzee amt. I think he can play in a variety of positions, has the strength, fast in small spaces, technical ability and engine to play how we play. Isaak is a fantastic player but not sure he is built for our intense pressing and the physical side of things with his rangey frame. Are we seeing his body struggle to adapt to the intensity of the PL with the injuries mounting up? Would only be more strain on him playing for Arsenal.

Zirkzee although young has the most promise of all of these dudes. The man is 1.93 ; 84 kilograms. That’s a damn central defender that moves with the speed of Jesus. Cheapest of all of them, plays like a false 9 at Bologna, coachable and fits the Arteta profile. Also he’s shown that he has mentality being successful in Italy after an underwhelming spell at Munich. Not getting Zirkzee now will be a humongous miss.

When you are building a squad, The first 11 are the priority. Once you have your core sorted, then you can bolster the rest of your squad. Thats pretty much where we are right now with the exception of a striker.

I dont mind having a striker who is not as versatile, as long as he has the technical ability to fit this team, has good ball striking and has the ability to create space for himself and others. So my first choice is a toss up between Gyokeres and Vlahovic. They have good technical ability, can fit the team, gives us some good ball striking and good movement in the box. I am slightly leaning towards Vlahovic because i think he has better movement in the box and a striker's presence but thats just my opinion

Isak might be tall, but he is very slim and not good in the air. Gabriel Jesus is stronger and better at the hold up play as well. In other aspects of the game they are quite similar, so I wouldn't go for him (for that kind of money). Plus the injury record...

Going for Isak makes absolutely no sense at all...he's just another Jesus and we don't need two ...the team needs someone different and more prolific with a physical presence. Arsenal has two brilliant wings, but no one they can cross the ball to...Isak is definitely not that striker.

As a Newcastle fan this is laughable we may need to sell to buy but we bought isak for 60 million there is no reason to sell him for 80 it hardly helps our ffp situation. If we sell a player it will be Bruno we bought him for 35 and can sell for 80-100. This is all not mentioning how incredibly difficult it to find good strikers making him very difficult to replace

It seems to me that Isak requires space to do his best work and prefers the ball in behind, than to feet. He is similar to Auba in that way and I am reminded of how Auba struggled in Arteta's system. We have been dominating field tilt this season and subsequently, have consistently faced the lowest of low blocks. If Arteta continues with this dominating, controlled, slower way of playing, I don't believe Isak is best suited to this system. I would prefer a nine that can find space in tight areas and be at the statistically higher end of finishing low XG chances. My preference would be Evan Ferguson due to his freakish quality at such a young age and his high ceiling (I admit my bias as I am Irish) but I can see the difficulties with that deal and he is probably 2 years off reaching the required level of performance that will elevate us to PL, CL winners. Otherwise Osimhen, Gyokeres, Vlahovic in that order. I am at the point now, in having full trust in Arteta/Edu, so whoever they choose, I can easily get behind it. I just hope a top class, starting 9 is at the top of our to do list because I truly believe a truly top class, specialist 9, especially in finishing chances, can bring us to the next level.

Ive watched Isak since his youth days and though I do love the guy it rly makes no sense goin for Isak at this point, there are other better ooptions for the way we play. His country man is a way better option as an exampel, , he'll slot in Jesus place seemlessly

I hear what you're saying and I truly do love Isak. Out of all the players you listed he has the best skillset and versatility right now imo. However his recent injury record is very bad and that simply cannot be ignored.

I'm a Nigerian and yet honestly would not go on the roof top championing for Osimhen... However, his intensity in the, making forced errors and allowing for offensive turnovers might be something that Mikel might absolutely like... Combine that with his leap power (he can literally suspend in the air); and also his goal record isn't at all bad even though it looks so this season, looking at it more closely , you would see that his starts to goal's scored are actually almost 1 to 1. And remember, we are looking to sign an individual that would bring a unique skill set, strong mentality and potentially a winner too!

Removing Gyokeres from the Versatile category is madness, he's on the wings more than Isak

I think Isak is most likely your best option. Already up to speed with the prem, carried Newcastle in a few games already and given big teams something to think about while playing against him. I think he goes straight into that Arsenal team and gets 25 goals with the way Arsenal havong been playing this season. Arteta will turn him into a ruthless finisher and it will give Odegaard a little more freedom to operate like a Griezzman role at Atleti.

Great dribbler, smart finisher, a good team player, & humble individual who can do great for Arsenal if he has good midfielders. I say…sign him up given the budget is feasible.

Really think we should go for Rodrygo. I’m calling it if he goes to any other top 6 club it will be a big issue for us down the line. He’s a star player like Sanchez and he’s about to be pushed to the bench next season at Real. We need a player that can take over a game alone like a Salah can. He would want to play off the left but I was watching him play LW when Vini was out this season and he was something special. He’s already had big moments in the champions league against teams like City. If Liverpool get him it will be like Mourinho coming to the prem and winning it the season after the invincibles essentially ending our dominance. The infrastructure is in place half the team speaks Portuguese he will fit in immediately and we can start bringing on rapid players like Martinelli and Trossard against tired legs. If we don’t build hype around this now as a fanbase when it’s time to get him he will go to Liverpool or worse City that could be why they are selling Grealish this summer. Real fans are saying if they had to sell a player because of Mbappe it would be Rodrygo so we should go all in. The striker market isn’t great we should hold out for a sure thing striker and get Rodrygo and Morita from Sporting CP this summer to replace Partey or Jorginho who ever leaves

Gyokoeres if we want a striker should be the route we go. he’s good enough at his age to at the very least to provide cover for Havertz up top who has been great for us this season if he doesn’t make the role his own right away

People saying how Jesus and Isak would both be injury prone…but we have Eddy. And Eddy can do a job coming in, he’s the the answer but he and Kai can 100% will that space.

Any decent ST will do i guess since the team is a well-oiled machine at this point. My gut tells me with Ollie Watkins we'd be unstoppable. We need a hungry lad, someone who has not had loads of cash thrown at his name already but is world class, like Rice. Perfect signing but what price would they sell someone who they just purchased for 70m when they have a plan & structure in place with the owners. He’s the #1 player they are going to keep as they progress with this ownership building up there income for the next few years to be able to go & spend a lot in a summer & assemble a team.

It's gotta be Gyokores. Not just but stats but watch him play. He's not as big as Haarland but he seems the same build. He's got everything.
