Warning people to carefully consider their choices and the possible repercussions isn't transphobic. I haven't seen anyone call that transphobic. Typically, I see belittling people for being trans (and happy with their transition) and saying they'll "never be a real X" or whatnot being called transphobic (for being transphobic.) If you were being called transphobic, you were probably saying or doing something transphobic, or listening to the minority that will call anything transphobic if it isn't immediately in support of blindly rushing into choices.

Lobotomies were a barbaric practice with next to no medical background and 9/10 times done without the consent of the patient due to being "unruly." Bottom surgery is difficult to get even if you are a consenting adult, and has medical research behind it.

Children are now routinely started on puberty blockers per WPATH SOC8 as young as 10. 8/10 times, children receive treatment they don't need, with or without Dr's oversight (CNPs can and do prescribe hormones and blockers to minors) parental consent or prior psychological evaluation. This is despite our own NIH admittance in a 2023 abstract that only 23 studies into benefits of gender-affirming care they examined were without major bias and all of those 23 seriously lacked methodological rigor - and in the same document they admit there are serious concerns with informed consent within current treatment protocols in this country. In plain English, our own NIH believes young people cannot consent to these treatments. In your argument, "unruly" carries exactly the same meaning as "self-identified." We DO know sex hormones are required for neurological development, i.e. the brain can't mature without the body going through puberty. So when we start these kids on puberty blockers in an effort to spare them, we actually remove their ability to understand the choices they're making regarding surgical treatments when they reach legal age. When the right goes off on the "chemical castration" tangent, a more accurate description would be "chemical lobotomy."

If this procedure was done when he was underage, ABSOLUTELY it's the doctor's fault. They take an oath to do no harm. Of course the fault falls on the parents as well, but the doctors in the hospital should absolutely be sued. He should sue even if he was not underage. There is not enough research done on these pills and surgeries, it's been proven to fail over and over again. they're doing this just because of the the narrative that is currently being pushed.

I understand she was a minor when this started. I don't think you can fairly say she made a choice. As a minor they cannot make decisions like this. They cannot drive, cannot smoke, cannot vote etc etc, their brains are not fully developed and therefore should never be given such an option. Its child abuse to do this to young people, when they are often confused and easily influenced. So yes, suing them sounds right to me. They did wrong and continue to do wrong to children and who is there protecting them?

This comment sounds harsh, but is absolutely the cold, hard, truth. Anybody who condones or supports this (to appear sympathetic towards the patient) won't be around to cushion the cruel reality that will set in, down the road. Creating the false hope that we can change a patient's sex is malpractice, at a minimum. It's a blight on humanity.

The objective of the surgery is to emulate it as much as possible with current technology. It doesn't have a 100% failure rate. These expectations are clearly communicated in offices before making the decision to go through with it. If you want to call it a 100% failure rate because it doesn't do a perfect job that emulates natural results exactly, then every organ transplant also has a 100% failure rate, because those organs are genetically dissimilar to the host.

Which is always going to be 100% unsuccessful, regardless of technology advancement. Your comment is in no way comparable to an organ transplant, where the goal has a high achievability rate. If facts and truth are solely determined simply by every individuals thoughts, we will most definitely have anarchy. And yes, going along with the preposterous delusion that a man is a woman and vice versa takes us that much closer. But we refuse to give mental health it’s due here.

WPATH SOC8 is a brilliantly worded - and truly terrifying - document. I asked a provider in my town (of 200,000) about all this a year ago, because I thought the right was off its rocker. This CNP/FNP, who had started over 200 kids *herself* on puberty blockers with or without parental consent and w/wo prior psychological treatment and without actual Dr's oversight, could not discuss with me anything beyond direct quotes from SOC8. When our own medical oversight groups all adopted this document as the accepted course of treatment without any argument or caveats, they opened the door for all sorts of malpractice like this person's horrific experience to be completely protected legally. It's truly appalling. I personally wish the whole lot of predators and profiteers making huge bank off of the completely disproven notion that gender-affirming care is life-saving medically necessary care could be strung up on RICO violations... all the way up to WPATH itself.

It’s definitely an experimental surgery. That’s why so many medical “professionals” are recommending/pushing the idea to patients who are having mental health issues, so that they can perform the operation more, which the more something is executed the more knowledge is gained. Considering anything to be no longer experimental in any field would mean having a standard method that is very low risk failure.

I understand what you are saying. However, there is (and will never be) a surgery that will change a male to female or vice versa. To pretend that doctors are just trying to "perfect" the surgery is actually outrageous when you think about it. We all know it's not possible. It is 100% a cosmetic change and the patient will still be the sex they were when they came into the operating room. The fact that these surgeries are still continuing to happen reinforces the idea that we've moved backwards in terms of destigmafying mental health. Just because the patient wants it (or thinks they want it) doesn't mean that a doctor should do it. And every doctor absolutely knows that you cannot change someone's sex.

I hope she now will be able to go through the transformation her soul truly has longed for- a relationship with her Creator. Christians understand that feeling of not quite being content with yourself, like something is missing because you are really not the real you that you are supposed to be. However, the difference is we realized at some point it is a spiritual transformation and transitioning we needed, not a physical one. That is why my heart goes out to transgenders. They get caught up in the lie of the world that Satan pushes- that changing yourself physically will fulfill that longing for change. But, that lie will never give full peace, because what is missing is the need to transition to the purpose of what we were made for- a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us we must be transformed by the renewing of our mind and hearts, Jesus recognized that need in us and told us we indeed need to be born again- into our purpose with Him. I wish someone could have shared that with her before the world convinced her to mutilate herself to find peace. The Bible tells us Jesus went through mutilation in His body to the point of death so we can have peace. There was no need for her to have to do that when He did it for her. Prayers she will now find that peace in Him that passes all understanding.

I wasn't able to sue the "doctor" that did a dual level spine surgery on me while his license was suspended (ultimately revoked). They have a malpractice cap in Texas, and the attorneys I spoke with said it would cost as much as what could be recovered to sue him. He went to Louisiana and practices there now, with a clean record.

Anyone consenting to this as an adult is simply their choice, signed and consented therefore I can understand that suing can be difficult. However, anyone performing these surgeries on a minor or anyone younger than 18 should be criminally charged- doctors and parents. Simple. It’s Abuse and way more than that.

If you have $170,000...then you can afford the reversal surgery that is around $25,000. I know someone I went to school with who transitioned into "a woman" & he is in deep regret. So I did some research & that price is approx what is costs. You can even choose your size penis. As far as bio women go that transitioned into a man, I'm not sure about if that has a reversal surgery, but one would think it's possible if drs. can do trans surgery on a man.

It’s hard to sue someone for doing what you’ve asked them to do. And when someone wants something such as this surgery when put through psychological screening to make sure they realise and understand what they are doing they will lie in order to meet any criteria you put in place. You can’t go to a hairdresser and ask for a buzz cut and sue her for cutting off all your hair.

Yes but,ALL surgeries/procedures come with potential risks. If you are of age, and gave consent, you should NOT be allowed to sue, because that just opens the door, for people to get the procedure done, then Turn around and sue to get their money back essentially getting a free surgery 🤷‍♀️ Now, if the patient is under age, and consent was given by a parent, the. They should be able to sue everyone involved, including the parents 🤷‍♀️

The doctors code will prevent this case. Its like the NO SNITCH rule. They won’t turn on each other unless under the most dire circumstances. This case might be thrown out. I hope I’m wrong.
