Edit: At a certain point in the video “bomb” was supposed to be censored as KZfaq has issues with the word sometimes, so I uploaded two versions, one censored and one uncensored. Thankfully the uncensored version passed but I accidentally left up the “Bomb - Censored to avoid demonetization” sign in the video lol Thanks for watching! I appreciate likes and shares and thanks Joey Salads for being part of the video!

The lessons Tony learned in IM3 he passed on to Spider-Man in Homecoming: "If you're nothing without the suit, then you don't deserve to have it."
@antona.1327

Too bad that this is something that shouldn't even be said about Spider-Man. Spider-Man is a hero without the suit. The suit never gave him any advantage in the comics. Its only point is to hide his identity. Everything he does as Spider-Man comes from within. The MCU decided to fix what wasn't broken and they made a pointless change to a character.

@@antona.1327 I just wasn't sure what you meant by "the suit". The web-shooters could be considered part of it regardless of when they were made, but since you exclude them your point makes sense. The only reason they made him somewhat dependent on his suit is so Tony and him could have more similarities to back up their connection.

It's my favourite too. I think sometimes it's easy to forget that there are a lot of fans of this movie out there, because a lot of the internet chat about is largely negative, usually because they hate the Mandarin twist. I have a lot of friends, both comic readers and non-comic readers, who love this film also, so there is a lot of us out there too!
@magortom

I hated the Mandarin twist I was super excited to see him so for me it made me take the mandating and all of "Trevor's" scenes to be purely for comic relief in a cheap way. Now that I can look back on the infinity saga completely and have (since civil war) an appreciation for the stories they were telling as opposed to the comics I wished to see adapted near perfectly, I'm able to really appreciate the story telling of Iron Man 3

It gets overlooked because the mandarin aspect was weak in my opinion. But it’s the most engaging and interesting iron man film in respect to Tony himself. We see a fully fleshed out arc from beginning to end and he’s at his best in IM3. And his lowest obviously. It’s my favorite as well.

I agree with Daredevil Season 3 for sure. That is right up there with the best seasons of Breaking Bad, SOA, or any another TVMA action drama. But on the flip side I also like movies that have a well thought out story and world but it takes a back seat to the action, like the John Wick series, and in particular John Wick 3. When I walked out of the theater after seeing Endgame I told my girlfriend that seeing Captain America wield Mjolnir and beat Thanos with it was the single greatest action seen I’d ever seen. After seeing John Wick 3 there are multiple scenes that I like more than the one in Endgame. The knife fight in the museum, the dog fight with Hallie Berry’s character, and the Continental scene in the third act legitimately made my jaw drop.

"people hate iron man 3 because it isnt accurate to the comics;" And also because it's a poorly written mess that had half of its core ideas sidelined during the developing stage after Disney did not agree with the director on their inclusion. "well Marvel wanted to make or try something new and not do something similiar to the comics." And their way of doing something new was to recycle the plot of the first two Iron Man movies, with an evil businessman trying to play on some weird profit tactic while trying to destroy Tony Stark?

I love this movie, it shows what Tony Stark is without his suit & why Iron Man is the highest rated superhero in MCU according to the power rankings on Marvel's official website. The creative ways to defeat the enemies when there's no suit or the suit isn't fully operational, it did a good job at showing Tony's intelligence. They did the same in Endgame as well, he was shown to perfect time travel in a single evening & invented a device which brought back half the universe after the snap.

@peterfrank3365 4 жыл бұрын
@@kenechukwuaniagboso4583 It's because of those movies that the majority of the audience tend to view them superficially, to take the franchise for granted. They offered no depths and no meaning but to be part of an established cinematic universe. An identity not based on distinction, but by brand. It's murking the brand and harms the actually great movies that bear it. Case points being 'Doctor Strange' heavily borrowing the aesthetics of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and the humor, but only to be familar to the audiences; 'Captain Marvel' busied itself to connect to the already unraveled Saga, tainting it in the process, while also being extremely economical. However, I also suspect that after the death of the MCU, its great movies; the likes of 'Iron Man', 'Guardians of the Galaxy', etc.; will float in time as "classics". The likes of 'Doctor Strange', 'Captain Marvel', etc., will sink.

So Tony has two character arcs in the mcu. Ironman 1 has a mini arc in it but it really sets up his arc for the mcu up to this movie with him starting his redemption arc by proclaiming "I am iron man" to the reports and ending it with him saying the same to himself. This arc was about believe it. The also makes the real start of his second arc which is take responsibility and trying to fix his mistakes. He finally ends that arc in endgame when he says those lines one last time. Those 4 words started and ended both of his major arcs in the mcu. We know they didnt plan it like this since the endgame scene was the very last scene filmed during the reshoots, but that creates so much cemetry for his character and makes it even more powerful to go back and hear on rewatches of these movies

Great video on how Iron man 3 is an awesome movie. I really, really don't understand its hate and its easily the #1 most underrated and overhated MCU movie for me.

Great work as always. I actually made my first Marvel based video essay today. You're one of my big inspirations and educators in how to get better in this. If you saw it and let me know what you think it would mean a lot. Thank you for everything

I really appreciated the idea that Tony was dealing with PTSD. However, in spite of certain highlights, like the airplane-scene, I ultimately felt letdown by the movie. It replaced a great villain with a boring one, and ended on a lot of spectacle without much substance. At least that's how I saw it.
