I’ve been studying the Ripper murders and the Whitechapel area at that time and it’s really interesting to see that Jack really got away with it. Any time later fingerprinting would have been used. Any other victims the search may have started early. The most interesting is the effect of the press. A start up newspaper called The Star sensationalised the Ripper murders and created images of a serial killer such as a Jew a Gent or a Doc. They also faked the ‘Dear Boss’ letter that taunted the Police but was found out it was written by someone involved with the Star. The police had almost nothing to work with and the area was extremely overcrowded. The press made it a lot worse by putting even more pressure on the police. The DNA technology hadn’t been invented yet.

There's also a theory or speculation that the national hero of the Philippines is Jack the Ripper. His name is Jose Rizal. He is said to be in London at that time and when he returned here to the Philippines, the killings stopped. He is also a doctor and a true genius so it matched the way the killer kills his victims. The hotel or the room he has stayed within London is also not that far from the killings. He is also a short and very well-dressed man because he came from a wealthy or noble family. He came to London in May 1888 and lived there for a few years because he is also a writer and he always goes home at midnight from the libraries. Another coincidence is when he left London, his room has a jar of human organs. It is quite a story here that he is in fact Jack the Ripper, that it became an urban legend or myth. Also many people here never actually knew he was in London at that time and who Jack the Ripper actually is, they just used it as stories because it is almost similar to his name Jose=Jack Rizal=Ripper. Nonetheless, He was in London in 1888 and lived there for a few years, he is a doctor who has knowledge of anatomy, is short and very well-dressed, and is a writer who often goes home at midnight or early morning from libraries.
@bradfordduarte1269
@bradfordduarte1269 2 жыл бұрын
That is an interesting deduction. Rizal was always smartly dressed and wore a derby hat even when he was in the Philippines but Rizal was very short, about 5'2" with a slim build. Even during his execution by the Spanish in front of a firing squad, he wore a suit and a derby hat. But I don't think it was him.

Hangover as a term related to alcohol does not originate from the act of hanging over a rope and sleeping off a rough night. It meant "after effects,a person or thing left over, unfinished business" before 1904 and in 1904 it was first used to describe the after effects of a night of heavy drinking. Y'all usually do a terrific job of fact checking but that one appears to have slipped through

Just kind of playing devil's advocate here as i have minimal evidence either way... but it can sometimes be rather difficult to find the origins of colloquialisms/slang the longer they have been in use. And what you said may be true it doesn't exactly contradict what the video said. Either way its always fun to study how our language is shaped and molded over time so this just gives me an excuse to jump down a rabbit hole lol. Also if you have a source id be very interested in checking it out. No offense intended of course.

The Ripper was able to move around 'unnoticed' and he seemed to have some medical or surgical knowledge. He also seemed to give an sense of importance or wealth (making him less likely to be suspected by the police and having the women willing to go with him). 1) He was very familiar with the area lived/worked there (cabbie, police etc). 2) Was either trained or learned himself about medicine/anatomy (failed medical student?) 3) Seemed to be upper-class or prominent in some way (wealthy, doctor etc) 4) Could have had a helper or driver with a coach etc. just my opinion

3:20-3:45 I think its entirely reasonable that the Ripper killed this woman, the one who came before the first of the canonical 5, however he perhaps used a different weapon. After maybe cutting not as easily as he would've liked to, he obtained a new weapon, one that suited his needs a bit more. I think she was also one of the Ripper's victims

Well if it is very dark you won't see certain colors, especially red. You can read a book next to a dim campfire but you can't see dark nuances of colors well. Your eyes have rods to detect light and cones to detect colors, an object that's a few feet away won't be reflecting enough light to activate the rods and the cones are fairly insensitive to light so won't detect the color if the light is too dim. The light is already dim when reaching the body and most of the photons are absorbed by the dark blood very little reflect and make it back to your eyes. And .if you have a bright match between you and the blood it's like being in a bright room trying to see in the pitch black garden you won't see a thing the match completely blinds you

@@alexisjuillard4816 he didn't have to actually *see* the blood. with such a cut, there would have been a big puddle of blood and the man would surely have stepped into it. blood is also smeary, viscous and generally a lot different from water... and if he didn't noticed right away, someone in the pub should have immediately when he stepped inside, leaving red shoeprints all over the place... edit: maybe the story in the video is just incorrect or inflated. especially the "i thought it could be my wife" part.

I am not an expert, so this is purely my personal opinion. It seems like you are reasoning under the assumption that there is only one perpetrator. It's possible that among the victims who were killed, there might be someone who imitated the perpetrator and carried out similar acts during the same period. However, in a book published eight years ago, it was written that DNA analysis of bloodstains found on one of the victim's shawls matched the DNA of one of the suspects, who happened to be of Polish descent.

I am surprised they didn't mention Cross wasn't his name used, why did Charles Lechmere give a childhood name instead of what he used in school, tax, and census records? If not to misdirection attention from himself.

It's possible too that he went low after cuz he afraid he'd get targeted by the ripper hence why he also changed his name

He may have been using the cross name at pickfords where he worked, a man by the name of Charles Cross ran over a young kid with his horse and cart in 1876 and that person also worked for Pickfords and if that man was our JTR suspect he had been using the name for at least 12 years before the ripper crimes

Just curious, but at the time you made this video, you should have been well aware of the fact that Charles “Cross” was an alias for Charles Lechmere and that at this point, he is the prime and only practical suspect. So why wasn’t that included?
@khaleelmohammed9924
@khaleelmohammed9924 11 ай бұрын
Cross/Lechmere may have been using the cross name as his workplace name also where is the evidence of him being the ripper. Cross also was his stepfathers last name so its not an alias

@@khaleelmohammed9924 Lechmere's step father died 20 odd years before. And also he wasn't adopted as Cross. His real name or alias wasn't recorded to the authorities in 1888. He was born christened married and died a Lechmere and so was the rest of his family.
