Saw a Comment about the newer Affordable USA Jackson Guitars No Longer have The "Made In The USA" tag under the logo, and thought I'd make a quick video on it! short and sweet but hopefully informative.
Like always, if i missed anything, or I'm outright wrong, let me know! helps me grow as a gear fanatic and Guitar playing fan!

Google did me wrong by ever recommending this video for any reason. Grats dude, you have achieved a waste of digital space - something that is nearly impossible.

Hello, I've been trying to find a jackson like the one you have behind you mine was stolen and I haven't been able to find another one could you please tell me what model jackson that is? Mine had a maple fretboard

Hey there! More than happy to help, so if it’s the V like mine, it’s a RR24, from 2008-2010ish (can’t remember the exact years they ran it) It’s one of the Made in Japan ones with the single EMG 81 in the bridge position. Jackson’s made several RR24 since then but the pin stripe ones came with maple fretboards as well so I suspect it’s probably one of the same ones. Hopefully I was a bit helpful with you finding one like you had! I can def give you more info if you’d like!

Thank u. Marshall’s using Vietnamese made in their jcm 800’s now. $3500 amp swapped with cheaper transformers which make some unwanted noise in operation. The company has been bought out by a Swedish conglomerate. Same thing everywhere.

The one thing I dislike about companies that shift production overseas but keep prices the same, if not higher. Marshall is especially guilty of this. I wouldn’t mind it as much if it made some of their Better amps more affordable… but that doesn’t seem like much is the case unfortunately

I believe it’s just nickel frets, unfortunately. I would have liked stainless steel on them

3:50 in this video. No it is not a silly thing. USA made is great.

I think it’s silly to get hung up on country of origin. American made guitars are great! I don’t disagree if their quality, just people who put so much focus on that alone. But all a matter of opinion! No harm in different views on it 😌

If this series gets traction, maybe just maybe it will catch on. Fender does the same thing and their prices are still high. I played their Luxe line and wouldn’t pay that money for it. I had a true USA soloist and the quality was stellar.
@TheBentNote
@TheBentNote 11 ай бұрын
I feel the same way. Fenders quality has been shaky the past couple of years and with how import guitars have been going, it’s hard to justify the price premium on their domestic guitars. With Jackson I’m a bit more lenient, but I haven’t played any of their recent affordable USA guitars but I really hope they Match the old school American made stuff, the older ones are super hard to beat in quality.

@@TheBentNote Jackson is Fender...Fender owns them and they are made in the same Corona, CA factory as all of the Fender USA guitars. The reason they cannot say "Made in USA" on the guitars any longer is that the State of California passed laws back in 2015-2016 that required that all parts in any product had to be made in the USA for the end product to be labeled "Made in USA". Just like most guitar companies, Fender (and therefore Jackson) cannot get all the parts they need for a guitar from USA manufacturers and keep the costs in line. Therefore, they use terms like "assembled in USA" or "assembled in Corona, CA" to comply with the law. Nothing has changed with how the guitars are built compared to prior to 2015, it is just that the law changed on how the label can be applied. Guitars "made in the USA" haven't had 100% USA parts in a very long time. If Gibsons were made in California, they would not be able to use "Made in USA" on the guitar either.

@DanielBobke

@@mikepetney8400 They don't any longer. The law went into effect in 2015. Since then, if all the components of an assembled item are not made in the US, then it cannot say "Made in USA" if assembled in California. Most if not all Fender guitars made in Corona say "Made in Corona, CA"

made in usa means the guitar is made in usa, where each part is made does not matter, there is some weird new law , which you touched on, for whatever reason they are not allowed to put made in usa on it, perhaps the law only applies to new models, or the ones that say made in usa were built before the weird law, i love jacksons , pretty much all i have is about ten jacksons and a fender tele. 7 of my jacksons are 2000s mij because they are the highest quality guitars that i have found, they are great! i have never played a usa made jackson though. i have had and played many gibsons and usa fender, and to me they dont even come close to the quality of the 2000s mij jacksons, oh yeah i have same era charvel mij too, i sold and traded off my gibsons and fenders after i got a used dx10d mij for $200, the seller hooked me up, he was another jackson collector, anyways i didnt need or want my overpriced and inferior guitars after that, i did get the tele recently and it twangs and spanks like a tele should but i have to take it to a luthier to have the fretwork finished , a new nut ,and a set up, hopefully it plays well then, because it was crap out of the box, it was intonated thats about it, killer tele tone though!

My friend… you have no clue what you are talking about, there is a separate facility that makes these with a dedicated production team in corona.
@TheBentNote
@TheBentNote 4 ай бұрын
… right. I never said they weren’t made in the US, just that they probably have a percentage of components that potentially prohibits the use of “Made in USA” Seems a lot of people support this explanation, given how California laws are more stringent than other states, seems to make sense to me. But if you have a source that says otherwise, I’m happy to take a look.

Too bad such a nice guitar comes with a crap case...
@TheBentNote
@TheBentNote 5 ай бұрын
What case does it come with? I tried looking but couldn’t find for sure which one it is. But is it just me, or a lot of companies cheaping out on cases the past couple of years? I mean, I’m cool with gig bags, that’s fine as long as they tell you, but the hardcases… are kind of mid? My 2021 Fender strat hardcase was just… okay. When you starting hitting close to $2k, just a bit more would be nice! Haha, not a deal breaker but yeah I noticed it being a trend lately

@@TheBentNote The Virtuoso comes with a full sized padded case. It's like a hybrid. Probably great if you want something lighter... But it just seems cheap and not the proper protection or an instrument at this price. I think everything should come with a case or should at least be an option.

I’ve never gotten a chance to play a Grover jackson guitar that he produced post Jackson but I imagine the quality would be night and day today. My biggest issue with current Jackson is the price to quality ratio has most definitely shifted for the worst imo I quite like them still but jeez, compared to a decade ago? Although I haven’t gotten to play any of the new USA ones yet though.

I have been around and owned many charvel and Jackson guitars since 1990 and can say by far that the Japanese made ones are better than the crap they produce today, I'm not a use made snob either but I know I will never own a Jackson that is made in china, I have a couple charvels that are made in Mexico and they are well made and play well. I almost bought this virtuoso guitar but I went with a charvel Jim root signature series guitar, I by no means am a slipknot fan but I like the setup of this guitar, love the satin black, no tone knob, emg pickups, same 1500 Floyd as the Jackson, same semi hardshell case that comes with the Jackson as well and only a $1500 price tag compared to the $2k Jackson. @@TheBentNote
