He wasn’t offered 50 million as this was all spin. CBS is discontinuing the 12:30 late night timeslot after Corden leaves. He was getting less than a million viewers a night as this is all a way for him to walk away without saying his show was going to be canceled.

Well-rounded ppl come from loving homes, and that's exactly what both James and his wife are doing: putting their children first. No money can buy a close-knit family and long-lasting friendships. NO, you need money for security. Without security you're stressed. If I lived in America and wasn't a millionaire I'd be terrified. It takes one illness and you have to use all of your savings and end up on the street. Frightening.

They are suggesting Americans are only worried about money and such priorities means Americans don’t come from well-rounded homes and that’s why they are struggling with mental illness. @ellie was correct in saying, “Americans” can’t ignore money as a main priority and motivator, that it provides security.
