think its close between him and Turner... the fact he was a 0 star recruit and didnt even play Edge in HS is honestly insane to learn the position at Albany and become a Top 3 Edge prospect in the Draft.

Pretty sure, of the top 3 he’s the only one in the 1000lbs club and he blows it out of the water at nearly 1400lbs. He put up 31 reps despite having over 33” arms and for reference Aaron Donald did 35 with shorter arms. He also squats over 600lbs. Its insane. Doesn’t mean he’ll be a great player but his production, work ethic and strength will translate

The way I see it Verse is a bit of an old school end who plays the run better than he is a pass rusher. Not sure if that was the defensive scheme or his passrushing skills. However, on 3rd and long downs when he could pin his ears back he was an absolute terror for opposing tackles. When Jordan Travis went down the whole defense played like the best defense in college football and he was the number 1 reason.

I just watched this guy push a linemen into a scrambling QB for a sack. Miss me with the strength takes. Bro is equal parts technical, strong, smart, and athletic.

Listening to these talking heads speak about stuff they know very little about is fascinating at best, especially Simms who I put right up there with some of the worst analysts out there presently. Who knows who's going to be better, both Latu and Verse have intangibles any team would want. How their careers pan out has a lot to do with personal goals, work ethic and accountability. More than that though it comes down to coaching and team schemes and how those defensive schemes fit each players strengths and style of play.. I hope both players have a lot of success in the NFL..

I would compare Verse to a poor mans Hassan Reddick coming into the NFL. Pure pass rusher that should build his way into double digit sack seasons semi quickly. Not sure how the run defense translates but he has crazy upside IMO. 0 star recruit out of HS (didnt even play Edge) to 1st round pick is wild.

@@unNORMALized420 but we are going to act like latu turner and verse have the same bf%… clearly turner has the least but he is also the lightest verse isnt far from him and is by far the physically strongest latu is 10lbs+ heavier than verse isnt even as strong or as fast. From a pure athletic standpoint verse is the most impressive turner or robinson are very neck and neck id put chris braswell even adisa isaac above latu. Looking at stats turner verse latu very neck and neck. From a game film perspective verse turner isaac robinson braswell latu. Latu has bust written all over him stat collecting in a weak pac 12.
