I agree! There was (and are) no promises that this doctor may get his practice license back. He was just assuming he will. Or that it won’t be taken away. Physicians need special counseling about their post conviction strategy. This is why I often write on physician social media about SAVING money as though your income stream will be not just interrupted, but maybe terminated mid stream. There is also the risk of being reported to the NPDB or sham peer review. A very large pre-conviction income is not ANY GUARANTEE it will continue! Disability insurance does not cover conviction.
