Both Kochadaiiyaan and Lingaa are important movies in Thalaivars carrier. Without these films, I think he may have retired. Giving back to back average movies, made him reconsider everything. So it is a good thing, but; Soundarya should have just kept the movie in the making with local CG team. I am sure there are very good and professional CG guys in TN itself. I remember it felt like they where rushing to complete the movie because Thalaivar didnt have any release after Robot. I really really wish he would remake this movie into live action - people will definetly see the movie again.

I remember watching Sultan the warrior Teaser in between Sivaji the Boss or Unnale Unnale movie interval. Was very eager to watch Kochadaiyan since the time of Sultan Idealogy.To be frank very disappointed with the making, particularly the Catamaran fight and many pivotal portion of movie had CG like Chota Bheem ....Only relief was ARR music , Rajni's dialog delivery and the Gripping screenplay

Really Bro, it was unfortunate that this movie was not in live action.... If it was made as a live-action film, it could've broken all the Box office records even before Bahubali.. This is the one of a few regrets which I'll have my whole life for any thalaivar film... It's true that the animation could've been a bit better, but even as an animation film, as you rightly said, the writing, screenplay, music/BGM and the dialogues was so awesome and very strong. The fact that it's the first Indian motion capture film is what makes me excuse the latter. The narration was really good, and with thalaivar "playing" the titular protagonist with finesse, it makes even interesting treat with KSR screenplay. I don't think it's really fair to judge an animation film for performances, but still I really liked how certain emotions came out on screen to some extent. One thing you must keep in mind is that despite an animation format, Kochadaiiyaan was not a kids' movie. It's mature, at times dark, and a fairly violent action film with excellent battle sequences, again that could be realized if we just ignore that animation part. In other words, the efforts definitely paid off. It might have bombed at BO, but it's a very special film for me, close to my heart... it's a nice attempt at making something at par with Hollywood, and we must appreciate for the efforts everyonehad put in. I still love this film, and I wish the neutral audience felt the same too. Luckily, this film had never failed to disappoint kids...am telling this from my own personal experience.. I strongly wish thalaivar should do the sequel "Raana" in a grand massive scale bringing top performing artists and technicians with an awesome visual making, writing/powerful dialogues and interesting screenplay etc. before he retires...This is the one and only wish...He may take his own time for preparation and should do at his own pace and convenience...I bet if that happens, that would be the biggest blockbuster ever in Indian Cinema.... Hope that happens soon sometime in future. Waiting #Thalaivaa

You're absolutely right. Story, screenplay, mass moments, dialogue, emotional scenes, music all in all excellent script. Especially the internal scene. But this movie should be taken as normal movie instead of motion captured film. But I don't think rajini wasn't fit enough.
