Another review of a brand new product that the reviewer hasn’t even tested. Outstanding

Love my Kenetrek Hikers. The best inserts I've found for my flat feet are called SOLE Softec Response Insulated Custom Insoles. Much more comfortable than the SOLE Softec Ultra and all of the others that I've tried. Also went back to using Sno Seal after trying out the Kenetrek wax. Sno Seal smells less toxic and more natural.

I roll my ankle sometimes walking over uneven stuff, but it's no concern to me because flexibility makes all the difference. A few minutes a few times a week stretching your ankles will make a difference.

I just bought a pair of kenetrek hardscrabbles . Love them so far. I had a keen before these and they didn't last me long doing back country off trail hiking..keen lasted about 6 months before I walked a hole in the sole..I hope kenetrek last longer. Good review. You gained a.new subscriber.

Good review!! I use the Mountain Extreme and the Hardscrabble and they are definitely worth the money. I was lucky because they were great right out of the box. A lot of folks dont like the break in period. But amazing boots!!

Alot of people dont hike the 25 to 35 miles required to break them in in their lifetime . They ride in the truck or 4wheeler and waddle to their stand and consider themselves hunters.

I've had mine Kenetrek Mountain Extremes for 7 years now. That's 7 years of scouting for deer, scouting for Elk and hunting both those seasons. I put mine through some terrible conditions. I've never had a wet foot or a cold foot. I do clean and treat them frequently though. I'm really good about maintaining my gear.

Sorry about that I hit the wrong button. I meant to say I have danner boots, They are not even in the same league as Kenetrek boots. Now I have both the extreme boot And the guide boot. I just wish I could have found out about them 30 years ago. Do yourself a favor If you are a hard hunter and get yourself a pair. You can thank me later.

So glad I found your channel. Your much more knowledgeable about boots then me and I hope you can help. The only decent boots I've owned was the rocky timberwolf gore-tex boots for 50 dollars and after a year or so both heels came apart and even when new my feet would get wet. I'm looking for a 8-10 inch boot with a wide fit, excellent waterproofing, and some insulation. I don't mind spending 300-450 dollars... can you give me a recommendation. The big problem i have is there's no local place for to try boots on so I'm ordering online.......THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME..... HAPPY THANKSGIVING

One of those situations you get what you pay for, my friend. I had Rocky boots as well and they were absolute garbage. That said, the boot you want depends on your application. These Kenetreks (retail $450+) are real rugged heavy duty boots - like climbing 50-degree shale hill side all day with 30lbs on your back type of heavy duty. If your just looking for casual hikes, though these would fair well, I would not recommend Kenetreks as there are plenty of good casual hikers in your price range that will last many many miles.

Kennetrek are great boots I have the guide 400 and the 1000 gram extremes. The way to properly break in these boots is to use the waterproofing cream on them and then walk around your house/ do some squats/step ups & wear them indoors for a day or so to help loosen the leather, than do several 1-2 mile hikes before attempting something like a 5-10 mile trek just to make sure you don’t have any immediate hotspots. The sales manager who said to press them up and down on the floor as a way of breaking them in is an idiot! That won’t do anything other than give you sore fingers-lol. You want the boot to slowly conform to your foot shape. You the cream several weeks in a row, besides protecting the leather it will soften the leather so they conform to your foot. These should last you a long time, best of luck with them.

Not many boots with a seamless tounge. My Altberg Kisdon have a seamless tounge right to the top. Just ordered some new boots as after one year my Vibram sole has worn down the tread and has no grip. They're still waterproof though and I might get them re-soled. They have a Sympatex waterproof lining which has been faultless and walking through streams they've never leaked. New boots have gore-tex though. Just wanted to try something with a different Vibram sole. Waiting on delivery of a pair of Hanwag Ancash ii gtx. I went for those as the straight fit extra last sounds like it should fit me nice. Plus they're nice looking too with a full rand and fairly tall. Was quite difficult finding something I liked and fitted my criteria.

Have you heard about the norwegian brand Alfa and their "lifelong" boot? Its called the Alfa Impact A/P/S GTX. This product deliver a possibility for replacing the sole and replacing the gore tex lining inside if you need it. There is a 5 year guarantee on the materials, and if you deliver the boots for a service after 5 years they give another 3 year guarantee. I wonder if this boot will last 10 years of frequent use, but I guess it depends a lot on your activity level. Most people will probably not wear this out after 15 years.

i've had keens. they had excellent grip and were comfortable, but they lasted a mere 6 months... sole was way too soft for rock surfaces. I'd try kenetrek, but evidently they don't serve men with shoe sizes below an 8. lol.

For your knock-knee, 🙏plz seek therapy/advice from doctor (DC, DO, MD, or PT) who is trained and proficient on Applied Kinesiology (AK). Your muscles from bottom of your feet to lower back need to be aligned properly and re-learned/strengthened. Your bunion can be controlled in the process. All without surgery. You are way too young to complain about those symptoms. 🦵🦶💪

True dat! Bought Danner's Vital 1000 for $200.00 ..crap broke within 1 year -the stitching came undone and the insulation was junk, feet got extremely cold in my deer stand in freaking October. Stay away from Danner's people. Don't want 'em even if they were free!
