I like the information presented here, I would like to make one observation however, be hyper flashing due to a standard halogen or incandescent bulb in a burned-out is exactly why you know that you have a turn signal burnt out.

Very helpful! I just installed morimoto xbs on my 18’ Tacoma Trd Pro and they look nice in sequential with emergency lights but soon as I use turn signals it hyper flashes my turning lights 😒

Very informative video, I definitely appreciate all the information. I have an issue at the moment, hopefully you can make a suggestion? I had a 2010 Lexus Gs350, which used PWM. It had an Led 9005 drl/highbeam setup with decoders. I am now trying to use the same setup on a 2001 Lexus ES 300 and only the high beams work but not the drl. What would be the best solution to my issue?

Great video, hoping you can help with a problem. I just put LEDs in my 2005 Chevy avalanche ls. The signal lights flicker and flash so I've already ordered the resister. But my DRL wont come on at all, its not the relay or fuses, will a resister work or do I need the DRL relay or resister kit? Looking for the most economic solution pls.

I installed a bulb with a canbus attachment on my Ducati 2014 motorcycle and it worked like charm. I had some separate issues with my wiring though which I fixed by installing a thicker better quality copper wiring kit than the OEM one. This resulted in random on-off, or delayed Ons... until a complete off now. What could be the issue?

Great video! I have a 2006 Mustang GT. I have all LEDs except in the front turn signals. I’m having an issue with the 194 LED license plate bulb. It randomly turns off usually after an hour of driving the car. When this happens it turns off the rear park lights too (1 of the 3 tail light bulbs on each side. The turn signal/brake lights are not affected). If I cycle the switch on and off everything works again. I used to have no issue with other LED bulbs. The issue appeared when I switched all tail lights to VLEDS V6 extreme bulbs and the plate light too to a VLED bulb. These tail light bulbs use constant circuitry and they do not hyper flash without resistors. I have tried 2 other bulb brands with the same issue. The Sylvania brand I tried turns the bulb off after a few seconds unlike the others that take longer to turn off. It seems I need a 100 ohm resistor on the plate light. But I’m not sure how to install that for such a confined space. Maybe a CANBUS plate bulb is the solution. Any feedback? Thanks!

Lol 😂now I understand why. So here’s my story. We got two 09 Pontiac Vibes I put LEDs from front to back on both. No issues whatsoever. Well, I decided to do the same on my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 so,I ordered all the LED light bulbs for it,and I got all the issues described on this video. Great info. Thank you.

I have 2014 GMC Sierra with Spyder after market lamps. Years ago I installed them with LED Canbus bulbs with no issues. Recently one of the H7 bulbs has become dim. I can no longer get the original LED bulbs. I purchased a set of Auxbeam GX H7 LEDs. If I put the ignition in the aux position and turn the lights on, they light and stay lit. If I start the truck and turn the lights on, they light and promptly go out. Any thoughts or input?

Hi @AllaLighting, I have installed the Maxx-Link Led AMG Series 200w headlight from a Halogen bulb(stock 55W) to a Led headlight of 100W each(left and right). And as you mentioned in the video issue, the headlight sometimes gets randomly Off I am facing the same issue. But I could not get the proper solution from the video, as Led has the CANBus connector and it connected socket to socket. So, can you please share the solution for the issue of the random Off. Scenario - When I drive the car for 30 - 45 min with Headlight ON it works properly, But when I turn it Off and once again turn it ON it did not get turn ON quickly it takes near about 1 - 2 minutes to get started & turn ON. Once it is ON after 1 - 2 minutes, sometimes either one side led headlight takes extra to get turned ON. At last both the Led headlights turn ON but after some minutes of delay. It will be really great of you for all the support and solution for the issue. Hello I know this is an older thread. I figured I will ask anyway. I have a 2016 jeep Cherokee with Holagan bulbs. I switched to led bulbs. The lights themselves work great, however I do het only 1 message " low beam out " . The stock lights are 9005/9006, so my question is 8f I buy a canbus decoder would H8/H11 work for my vehicle? Thank you, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My dad got some LED h13 bulbs off of Amazon and we installed them but the lights would then in for 1 second than shut off. I got him some resistors for them and now the LED bulbs stay on now but now it’s always in high beam mode and when pressing the high beam switch the low beams come on then shut off for a second. Would a LED decoder work better than just resistors?

Hi Guys! Im having a bit of an Odd issue with a 14 kia forte, installed some 60w led bulbs and when they have not been used for a while they turn on and immediately turn off, after turning them back off and on a couple of times one will stay on and then finally both! Seems to do it while the bulbs are still cold! Thanks!

Hi, Today I replaced a light bulb (5w halogen) located near the pedals, and before I changed it, it used to work few seconds after I open/close doors. Today I replaced it with a beautiful Led T10. It works but now is still on even if I am driving. I like it but.. Is there any problem? Do you recommend me going back to halogen in order to avoid other issues? Thank you in advance!

do you know how to get rid of that ripple voltage coming from Alternator i have a new car, I've replaced all the halogen bulbs in my Car with LEDS & they all work flawlessly but as soon as i turn on the engine all the LEDS starts flickering a bit especially at low RPMS, some branded LEDS that I've installed in my license plate & tail lamp has it's own built in circuit due to that it flicker bit less but ones without PCB ( cabin light) they flicker decently, eventually all of them flicker as soon as i start engine, just intensity is different on each bulb, Any way to get rid of those flickering due to Ripple current coming from Alternator? It's not flickering as much as Jeep vehicle you shown but it's close to that! please tell me how to get rid of it!

I have 2012 Toyota Rav4. I installed 9005 LED bulb as High beam and 9006 LED as Low beam. 9005 LED should work as DRL and High beam, but DRL is not working and not flickering as well. If I install Canbus decoder, will it make 9005 LED DRL work? Please advise.

2018 Chevy Impala LT. I’ve gone through a lot of different brand lights, Lumens and all.. found that the only ones that don’t flicker are the ones that don’t have an external drive. But the ones I have in now will only insert one way and I’m not getting the full view of the lights… they look like Halogen but white.. have you ever had anyone that had this issue and maybe solved it?

Ok this is good info but what about led headlight slowly comes on and off when there is no power getting to it For example 02 Honda Odyssey light and auto light switch is off but passenger light only try’s to come on very slow flickers and go bright then very dim and flickering sometimes it will turn off but not for long until it comes back on again doing the same thing When I turn on the headlights there is no problems low and high beams work no flickering no dimming just a nice bright lights Please help Would it be the led light malfunction or could it be a relay problem

I have 96 F250 , just changed front and rear bulbs to LEDs, front bulb is a running yellow light/ turn signal and the rear is brake, turn signal. when I install the 3157led tail light bulb. Everything work fine except the left turn signal would not activate or flash, this is one I changed first. How can i fix the problem? Oh , I reinstalled the standard 3157 Halogen tail light bulb back in the rear and the first Led and rear standard bulb flashed fine.

HELP!!! I have an issue which I was hoping you could either help with or get me pointed in the right direction.. (but first, great video!) I have a 2018 Chevy Malibu and recently bought a 5-function LED tail light strip (brake, turn, running ect.) but learned it won’t be just a simple ‘wire to wire’ (so to speak) type of installation because my Malibu has a single filament bulb so the brake,turn and running lights are all sharing the same line. How do I wire this multifunction LED strip in a situation like this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Great video!! Need some help with the following, I installed LED fog lights and they work fine when engine is NOT running. As soon as I start the engine the fog lights blink two time and then turns off. I would very much like some guidance as its driving me crazy as I'm finding it difficult to a solution online.

The bulbs are 12 volt only. Get bulbs that are 12-24 volts. When the car starts the alternator runs and brings the battery power up to around 14 volts. Led bulbs that only function on 12 volts won't work unless you have a resistor on the positive wire

I just bought led headlights from xenon pro for my 2006 dodge Cummins. I bought the 45 watt 6k lm with a led capacitor for flickering all from the same site. Blinker relay is for LED signal lights, yet for brake tail light, extra load resistors are required to avoid the error code.

I got 2010 Accord, put LEDs, 9006 for low, 9005 for drl and high beams, it works for drl but doesn't show on dash that's it's drl, lightly lit up, then when i turn on high beams, it turns full blue, it works well the LEDs so idk

I own a 2013 Hyundai Sonata I installed all LED lights all around about a week after the install one of the dlr the passenger side flickers between dlr and high beam while the driver side doesn’t and the computer trows the tps light on what do you recommend me to do?

There is a dust cover for high beam bulb, so we recommend to try plug and play decoders first, if the code does not reset after a few days driving with decoder installed, contact us for further assistance to install resistors.

Need a DRL relay kit. Starts around like 14mim mark. But will run at full power(high beam).. So maybe the DRL relay kit then a resistor to each bulb to keep it dimmer than the lowest headlight.

I recently purchased 3157 style of Alla lighting bulbs and when plugged in they are Always bright all the time won't blink or anything just always bright all the time. Tried different vehicle same out come. No resistors or anything. Any info will help.

Please check whether the right side resistors get hot when right turn signal light is activated.

Having flicker on the driver side headlight of my 07 F-150. Using an LED bulb with attached CANBUS. This is the second LED I've put and driver side is still experiencing issue. Switched bulb with passenger side and issue persists but only on driver side. Any ideas?

Mine is doin the same exact thing. Only in my Silverado smh. I paid good money for these lights and this is the main reason I got rid of the hid’s... cause they wouldn’t work!!

Soooooo how do you fix random off. I'm having this problem on my 2015 Ram. I had the anti flicker mogule. The bulbs them selves have the canbus corrector and it still does this. They work fine for a while then shut off randomly. Then come on after a while. Or sometimes stay off for good. I switch polarity on both and still nothing. Any help?

Hello. I bought a set of led headlight bulbs, both high and low, for my brothers 2008 dodge avenger. They work just fine when the car is off, but when the car is on the passenger and occasionally the driver side bulbs will turn themselves off for a while, then randomly turn themselves back on. The high beams do the same thing at a more frequent rate. From what i gathered from your video this is a dodge computer issue not playing nice with the lower power consumption of the led bulbs. My question is do we need a resister or a decoder to get these to work correctly? I see there are many different kinds available online I just need to make sure I order the right thing.

I bought a pair of led strobe lights for my brake lights but after they fllash they stay on but if i remove my feet from the brake they keep flashing...same goes if i turn on the low beams they keep flashing after y stop pressing the brake pedal but not as strong as when i press it....can someone help me...i got a ford focus se 2013 sedan....

I just learned the hard way. Installed LED canbus bulbs for low beams. Car starts lights good. Then, one or both shut off. After manually turning them on and off a few times, they will stay on. I also get the dipped low beam warning. Did you find a fix for this?

Great information!!! I recently encountered an issue replacing a conventional halogen H-7 bulb on a 2010 E-350 Mercedes Benz to an LED H-7 Las Fit . Sure enough, neither side of the low beam headlights wouldn't work after converting it to an LED bulbs. Needless to say, I had no choice but to put the old halogen bulbs back.. Question to everyone, would I get a better result converting it to an HID lights? Please advice... Thanks everyone...

HID has quite high illumination light output, yet the issue is the beam pattern is not focus and will glare other drivers and also it will take some time to start on.

Many things happen when I installed my lasfit led bulbs. It interferes with my backup camera, sometimes my high beams shut off. My dash lights go to full brightness. I lose control over adjusting brightness.

H11 LED bulbs will not come on at all in 2012 Mazda 3 SkyActiv sedan. Work fine in low beam headlights though.

Hey i have a 2019 Tucson and I upgraded my high beams but they are 9005/HB3, not H11, id get 9005 with a decoder. I have no problems. Installed since 8 months. Nightlight 9005HB3 mate.

I have a 2012 Honda accord the only passenger side headlight bulb turns off on its own. What is the solution?

Honda is usually very DIY friendly, we don't have any problems when replacing with LED headlights on our 2015 Honda Accord, the issue could be a defective bulb on passenger side, please switch both LED bulbs to the opposite side and check if the issue follows the same bulb or stay on passenger side.

@@AllaLighting I tried a new set still after a few weeks sometimes months the left side bulb stats flikering, and sometimes it turns off on its own (only the left side) I tried cleaning it with contact cleaner (special cleaner for electrical equipment) still the same. I am thinking that I should buy a resestor or canbus to solve the issue.

I switched to 9005 LED bulbs in my 2007 Silverado (1500 classic) and my high beams will only turn on when I pull the lever back (temporarily on) but they will not turn on when I push the lever forward (constant on). What can I do???

@@AllaLighting Thank you. I just replaced the stock radio (professional installation). No other modifications. There aren’t any error codes either.

@@tedmccarthy9525 The diagram indicates current runs through Headlamp Dimmer Switch before it reaches ground, we recommend you check: 1, Body Control Module(including the lever used to turn on and off high beam) and Headlamp Dimmer Switch(the Switch used to switch among AUTO, PARKING LIGHT ONLY, HEADLIGHT MANUAL), if both parts function properly with 9005 Halogen Bulb installed, then they are good. 2, We also head the issue that LED headlight bulbs only work when the Headlamp Switch is switched to HEADLIGHT MANUAL, if that's the case, a pair of load resistors are required to restore the circuit. files.slack.com/files-pri/T011WBH039T-F01L53YBT7W/2008-chevy-silverado-headlight-wiring-diagram-wiring-diagram-and-1.jpg

I installed LED on my 2015 charger with antiflicker module, randomly it turn the bulb off and go on after 2 sec, what cause this problem?

I got a load resistor because I have a Mercedes’ and the led lights still turn on and then immediately turn off and it attempts to turn them back on and then they just turn off again. It’s annoying. The resistor didn’t help

I installed 2 LED light bulbs of 35watts each on my 2014 GMC SIERRA. The weird thing is the lights are on when the vehicle is not started and on the power ON mode; however, the lights will be off as soon as I ignite engine.. Does anyone know what problem it is?

I have a 2010 e350 , I installed led lights and the resistor, I will work for 20 minutes, and then go completely out ,after 2or 3 minutes they come back on

I have a 2013 toyota corolla and am having an issue with my new LED headlights. I have both low and high beam LED'S, if the car is off and I toggle the light switch, all lights work as they should but Whenever I turn on the car, only the high beams turn on automatically, but at half strength. Mind you the light switch IS OFF. So I can't shut them off. It will remain this way until the car is shut off. I tried two different brands with the same result. Also, i do not find anything anywhere addressing this problem.

This because your vehicle's high beam share the same bulb with DRL, so at daylight, the bulb will turn on as DRL, at night, when you power on low beam, then the high beam/DRL will shut off. too many unecessary electronics in modern vehicles. One time I saw a Intake manifold uses a DC motor with gears to open and close an air flow plate . . . a vintage tension spring is more accurate

Too true! My daughters' BMW 4 series tail light mounted on the boot (trunk) lid failed. The unit consists of 2 circuit boards and 6 LEDs to do what one 989 or 233 filament bulb used to do. The boards cannot be bought separate from the housing and lens, so the full unit has to be purchased at a cost of £250 ($388). A 989 or 233 bulb costs .50p (68 cents) so you could buy 500 of them for this money. Why is all this effort made and expense incurred to install LED in vehicles?

@@mattmcgahan UNFORTUNATELY it is all about making a BUCK off of the uninformed consumer. This is the very reason why I no longer own a 2014 BMW X3 ... as even a minor repair cost Buku Bucks ($$$) to fix. My local BMW service department charges $165 per hour for their service mechanics, which I am sure only get paid less than $50 per hour BEFORE Taxes ! Yah, buying a used pre-2000 vehicle is probably your best DIY consumers BEST BET ... and you can still buy the Haynes or Chilton service manuals for those vehicles whereas newer vehicles no longer publish/issue repair information/manuals for the consumer ... again Auto makers and dealerships just trying to keep YOU from fixing your own vehicle and trying to squeeze YOU for every BUCK they can make from YOU !
