I actually just picked up a LG K92 5G from Cricket, and it absolutely love this phone. I have owned LG flagship devices in the past and non of them even compare to the performance I get out of this phone. Ive never owned an LG that could play my PPSSPP emulator at full speed till purchasing the LG K92 5G. Overall very happy with my LG.

Hey Matthew what do you recommend for a budget phone to play mincraft?

I've daily driven a V35 for two years and the fingerprint sensor is on its last legs...don't feel like being annoyed putting in my pin every single time I unlock the phone, and don't really trust a face unlock that's not IR like the Iphone X(and onward) or an Iris scanner like the more recent Samsung flagships. This V50 I've seen new in box for around $250, just seems like great specs for the money basically. It's sad LG left the smartphone market, they were VERY good specs for the price if you waited a little and shopped around online. I've heard and read about one too many hardware and software complaints from actual users of the newer v60 to feel comfortable spending the pretty penny one of those costs. I always found myself wanting a faster and better point and shoot camera and namely selfie camera, so hopefully the v50 is a nice step up. The G8X is around the same price but heard iffy things about its in display fingerprint sensor

I had a terrible experience with it unlocked for T-Mobile. They disabled Sprints 5G. Even though they repurposed the spectrum for T-Mobile. If you have Verizon yes it's a good deal but the G8 for $225 on swappa is the real steal or V40 for $140. You lose 5G but it can barely be used anyways. The G8 also has more carrier variants available.

I have got a new LG V50 from South Korea. The ony, and I mean only downside is the speakers.

The 5G is such a BS marketing line. Am still waiting a consistent 4G coverage, minimal and spotty in most areas.

Really good device, have had it for the last 3 days, only things I don't really like are the haptics and the speakers which is specially disappointing since it has a quad dac, the cameras are ok but not wow, maybe I feel like that cause I'm coming from a broken pixel 3xl

The korean version on AliExpress is better in my opinion and also gets a build in call recorder and a faster updates (brand new).

me with my lg v50 u+ korean 5g installing lg disable pro disabled all korean apps , all necessary apps and programs including themes and wallpaper (i use pitch black wallpaper cuz oled) features from LG basically stripping it down to basic pixel like experience , oh also disabling lg messenger , dialer and contact and replaced them with google version now its way smoother and more consistent than ever before

I got mine on Amazon last week for $320 but have a Realme X2 Pro coming in today and as much as I've enjoyed using the V50, I'll mention a few downsides in my experience. Auto Brightness polling is very slow to adjust to changing light/environments, my Essential phone was very quick to adjust moving from light to dark environments. Audio, while good at about 60% and above, in certain videos I've noticed there is almost no sound below 50%. Also I never use cases on my phone but this is one of the slipperiest phones I've ever handled and if I was to keep it, I would more than likely have to slap a skin back there with some added grip to it. HiFi DAC is amazing, really lives up to the hype, P-OLED could be better with blacks, one of my apps, the black areas for whatever reason are dark maroon. Battery life for me has been just OK, I am using it on the QHD+ resolution, never used it on FHD+ long enough to see if there's a noticeable difference. Cameras as well are mostly just OK, not terrible but could definitely be better. Otherwise it's been a joy to use in this past week, wish I could keep it but the X2 Pro is the better phone in certain ways.

One side note!! Finding a screen protector is literally impossible because the fitment will not cover the whole screen or the OLED screen. Usually, around the corners of the OLED screen are exposed.

Again, this should be pinned to the top of every v50 thread: this phone will NOT work on T-Mobile starting January 2021! It doesn't matter if it's "unlocked". It's a hw issue. (It should be fine on verizon and at&t).
