I always turn the cover inside out, put my hands into the two corners, grab the blanket by the corners, pull them out. That way the drape just covers the blanket perfectly.

@@catovrUsually people know both ways as those two extra holes aren't always guaranteed, but it's (in my opinion) just faster and easier with the holes... People probably need to try it themselves before they see any benefit in having them.

@@BGBPW after much thought... I think this is a cover for a duvet... a type of blanket for the bed. I've never had one. I'm guessing you wash the cover but not the duvet. We typically use a quilt or comforter, and the whole thing gets washed. We definitely have different ways of doing things.

In Sweden the holes were standard!... Until a few years ago, and then we had to start learning to fit the cover in the sheet. Tip; put the sheet inside out, put your hands inside the sheets, in the corners and grab the corners of the cover. Flip! Tadaa! All done!

Turn the. inside out, when changing your sheets and wash them on the left side. This way you just have to do it once and it happens nearly by itself. 😄

The sheets here (in the Netherlands) also don't have those hand holes, but personally I never struggled. I have the sheets inside-out and then flip them right-side-out with the blanket inside of it..... I don't really know how to explain in, but it looks like what you're doing at the end xD

Yes, I'm in the USA and I turn the duvet cover inside out and put it on top of the duvet. Then I just roll it up. I found the method online, called "California roll" I think. It's very easy and no holes in the cover.

Over here in South Africa we don't have the hand holes so I sewed buttons onto the cover and loops on the inner. Makes it easier and keeps the inner from sliding around and bunching up

This is a great idea. I usually put mine inside out on top of the duvet, and put the first two corners in, flipping it “right side out” while pulling it on like a pillow case. It sounds weird but works. But the hand holes should be a standard 😂

Turn the duvet inside out on your bed. Put your comforter on top. Grab duvet clips and clip at least 3 to each side so the comforter won’t move inside the cover. Then take the everything and push it thru the open end of the duvet to turn it all right-side in. Also, if you use a top bed sheet, you just wash the bedsheet and don’t have to fuss with the duvet cover for more than a few times a year.

I'm German and my mother showed me a different but similar easy way: Turn the duvet cover inside out, reach into it with your arm (not your head!!!) and grab the corners. Then bend down and grab the corners of the duvet. While holding the corners of duvet & duvet cover, let your Arms Fall down so that the duvet cover slips easily over the duvet. Done. It takes about 1 Minute once you learn it and the bed always looks nice.

I put rows of snaps or Velcro in all of my comforter covers, and on the ends of my comforters, so they don't budge (and they're much easier to get back on). I move in my sleep. It helps a lot.

I've opened all my duvet covers at the top corners, as well as sewed in loops in the corners to attach to the large button I've down on the actual duvet. It keeps it all in place after fitting.

Ibuse comforter clips. I place the duvet cover on the bed, inside out, lay the comforter/duvet on top, clip the corners, and flip it right side in a flash. Keeps it from shifting around, too.

Some duvet covers in the US come with ties in the corners which also make it easier. I just turn the cover inside out and grab the duvet and flip it back onto the right side, as others mentioned. But I do wish I lived in Finland. I don’t like American style sheets, at all.

At least in Denmark we have duvet covers and not just layers of blankets like the US. It's a struggle mind you. My winter duvet is 5kg (not weighted). It makes for the perfect burrito experience, but changing the covers sucks lol
