I always turn the cover inside out, put my hands into the two corners, grab the blanket by the corners, pull them out. That way the drape just covers the blanket perfectly.

Well I usually put my hand into the inside out turned cover and then drag grab the blanket with the corners and let it fall over the blanket. Just as simple

​@@catovrUsually people know both ways as those two extra holes aren't always guaranteed, but it's (in my opinion) just faster and easier with the holes... People probably need to try it themselves before they see any benefit in having them.

Did you know that IKEA started selling the sheets without the holes since a lot of other countries thought the sheets were misconstrued in the factory and returned them 😂

Damn, I'm from "other country" and I couldn't figure by myself how it's suppoed to work. I'm glad I'm learning how to sew. Trust me, in a few monthes, my bedsheets will have these holes.

It's basically a cupboard over the sink with racks for dishes and the water drips to the sink so you don't have to dry them with towel

@@BGBPW after much thought... I think this is a cover for a duvet... a type of blanket for the bed. I've never had one. I'm guessing you wash the cover but not the duvet. We typically use a quilt or comforter, and the whole thing gets washed. We definitely have different ways of doing things.

And this is perfect when you are a wiggly sleeper and the duvet feels like it leaves like 20cm of the sheets then you just use the wholes to pull it to the right place (this would be so much struggle to do wiyhout the wholes)

In Sweden the holes were standard!... Until a few years ago, and then we had to start learning to fit the cover in the sheet. Tip; put the sheet inside out, put your hands inside the sheets, in the corners and grab the corners of the cover. Flip! Tadaa! All done!

Turn the. inside out, when changing your sheets and wash them on the left side. This way you just have to do it once and it happens nearly by itself. 😄

I find the burrito method is the easiest without the holes. But here we are in north america thinking the burrito method is next level technology thing of glory. I cannot believe we do not have these hand holes. We've never even heard of them! It's so simple!

The sheets here (in the Netherlands) also don't have those hand holes, but personally I never struggled. I have the sheets inside-out and then flip them right-side-out with the blanket inside of it..... I don't really know how to explain in, but it looks like what you're doing at the end xD

Yes, I'm in the USA and I turn the duvet cover inside out and put it on top of the duvet. Then I just roll it up. I found the method online, called "California roll" I think. It's very easy and no holes in the cover.

@@Juhani96 My blanket/sheets almost always stay the way they were when I made my bed, so I don't really have to deal with this issue ^^ _If_ it might happen, I'll either just shake it in a certain way or maybe remake the bed. But again, this is practically never necessary :)

We don't have those here in Denmark, but I just turn it inside out and place my hands in the corners all the way in and grab 2 corners of the stuffing (don't know what it's called) and shake it so it turns the right way and is packed

You wash them inside out. Fold them away inside out. Then when you take new ones just put your hands inside and grab blanket and install. Doesn't matter holes or not.

As a german i have never seen those holes.. We usually just turn the thing inside out, then you reach in your arms, grab the top corners, grab the blanket and then turn the thing onto the blanket Idk how to properly describe it.. We don't need holes tho

Over here in South Africa we don't have the hand holes so I sewed buttons onto the cover and loops on the inner. Makes it easier and keeps the inner from sliding around and bunching up

I grew up in Gran Canaria, so never had seen or heard about pussilakanas. Saw them first in military service, the dudes in there had to show me how they work 😂😂😂 and i'm a finn 😅

I usually turn the blanket covers inside out ruffl get it together and then just grap the corners of the blanket and then let it fall down. 😅

This is a great idea. I usually put mine inside out on top of the duvet, and put the first two corners in, flipping it “right side out” while pulling it on like a pillow case. It sounds weird but works. But the hand holes should be a standard 😂

Turn the cover inside out them grab corners of the blanket and then flip, get the other end tuck shake and clip in. Easy as 1, 2, 3.

Turn the duvet inside out on your bed. Put your comforter on top. Grab duvet clips and clip at least 3 to each side so the comforter won’t move inside the cover. Then take the everything and push it thru the open end of the duvet to turn it all right-side in. Also, if you use a top bed sheet, you just wash the bedsheet and don’t have to fuss with the duvet cover for more than a few times a year.

I'm German and my mother showed me a different but similar easy way: Turn the duvet cover inside out, reach into it with your arm (not your head!!!) and grab the corners. Then bend down and grab the corners of the duvet. While holding the corners of duvet & duvet cover, let your Arms Fall down so that the duvet cover slips easily over the duvet. Done. It takes about 1 Minute once you learn it and the bed always looks nice.

I put rows of snaps or Velcro in all of my comforter covers, and on the ends of my comforters, so they don't budge (and they're much easier to get back on). I move in my sleep. It helps a lot.

I've opened all my duvet covers at the top corners, as well as sewed in loops in the corners to attach to the large button I've down on the actual duvet. It keeps it all in place after fitting.

In germamy we just turn the sheet inside out, stick our hands into the sheet corners, grab the blanket corners and shake it over. Very easy, very efficient, works with pillows too

Ibuse comforter clips. I place the duvet cover on the bed, inside out, lay the comforter/duvet on top, clip the corners, and flip it right side in a flash. Keeps it from shifting around, too.

Some duvet covers in the US come with ties in the corners which also make it easier. I just turn the cover inside out and grab the duvet and flip it back onto the right side, as others mentioned. But I do wish I lived in Finland. I don’t like American style sheets, at all.

At least in Denmark we have duvet covers and not just layers of blankets like the US. It's a struggle mind you. My winter duvet is 5kg (not weighted). It makes for the perfect burrito experience, but changing the covers sucks lol

Only almost the same. Duvet cover slides more smoothly if it is done this way. (I do use your method if duvet cover is already inside out after laundry, so I have tried both methods multiple times.)

I live in Japan now but when I came here for the first time I was so shocked because you have strings in the corners to put everything together and it’s not going to fall apart while sleeping… Why can’t we share it worldwide? With the holes it will be so life changing 😭

I flip my cover inside out, grab the top corners and then grab the duvet, flipping the cover the right way round, in the process, covering the duvet. Hand holes would be 1000x easier.

As a Mexican I am the only person I know who uses a quilt to makw my bed easily. But duvets are hard to find here so I make my own (well, my taylor makes them), so I'm totally putting those holes next time ❤

My duvet cover has this... I'm American. Maybe it just depends on the brand. Also, there are buttons on the corners to hold the duvet in place

A quick way to avoid this issue is to simply not use a duvet.

And use what instead? Ten pillows in a duvet cover? Or raise the heat to +28 in the bedroom? Sorry, not an option. I need my thick goosedown duvet.

In the states, we don't have holes. At least, that's what I've seen on the West Coast. Also, I quit using those blankets years ago because of this.
