Having the villain of the first Avengers movie be the hero of the sixth Avengers movie would also be a great overarching story for the MCU

Remember in infinity war when loki told Thor, "The sun will shine on us again." Would be absolute fire if Loki and Thor reunite in Secret Wars and they bring this line back

I totally agree with this and even think Loki “I am iron man” moment in this multiverse saga will be sacrificing himself to save everyone but at the same time ultimately probably resetting his character development and others in a new universe but saying the words he had uttered from his first appearance… “I am Loki… and I… am burdened with glorious purpose!”

He's the only one that still has every fan rooting for him. His show the only one we still care about. The comics have prepped him up to be Avenger prime. It would be criminal for marvel not to anchor the multiverse saga around him. He's literally the god of stories

I just can’t comprehend why the Screen Crush staff aren’t writers for everything we love. They nail the stories I want to see in such a purposely glorious way that I am always disappointed with reality. The most egregious was Quantumania. Soooo much good theory lead up by the channel…and then Blech. Well done Colton and team. Seriously, just this theory along could end up being my head cannon if I decide to bail on Marvel if they don’t become consistent again with good stories. Yes! Yes! Yes! Who would have thought Iron Man would lead the new MCU? Loki is not a great comic book character, but he is amazing in the MCU. Loki should and can be the central character of this next phase of the MCU. Tom Huddleston brings so much to the character and the universe(s). I cannot wait to see season 2 of Loki!

I have a fun theory about Dr. Strange's 1 in 14 million chance: Tony's sacrifice was the only chance that could work because all other possibilities ended with the TVA stepping in to prune the branching realities. That, of course, would mean Strange knows about the TVA and perhaps even their mission to keep all universes separate from each other. This could explain why he says "This shouldn't even be possible" when Spider-Man's original memory spell starts blurring the boundaries between realities. He told Wong they'd used that spell for a lot less, but he didn't know to consider The Avengers' time travel would lead to He Who Remans' death, thereby freeing the multiverse and causing that spell to go awry.

What a truly *AMAZING* part for Tom to play. From Villain, to anti-hero to hero of the multiverse and since he’s a huge Marvel fan, he’d be *ECSTATIC* to have that major role and even said a while back that he’d be happy to remain in Marvel for as long as they wanted him to! He’ll sky-rocket to one of the most important characters in Marvel *PERIOD!* 😀

12:53, Loki overseeing the multiverse is somewhat similar in concept to the lastest comic iteration of Loki, Ikol, and his ability to create stories that manifest in reality, which he gained after accessing a extradimensional library called the House of Ideas, a location comparable to the TVA’s headquarters or He Who Remain’s Citadel.

To be fair Loki have now even more similarities to Tony because of the whole learning of technology with OB in last two episodes of second season

I will forever love the Screencrush lore: Colton being trapped in the TV, Doug's derision at his image being licensed without his permission...imagine how deep you guys could get if you came up with more hilarious lore concepts.

And Wong is the new Agent Coulson. They both show up in a bunch of Marvel titles (Coulson was in Iron Man 1, 2, and Thor, Wong in NWH, Shang Chi, She Hulk, etc.) and are likable, funny characters.

YES! I 100% agree with this analysis!! It will be Loki, Sylvie, AND Crocodile Loki at the end of time.

so many missed opportunities to use the clip of George saying "It's like poetry, it rhymes". But also, at least in the comics, Loki has recently been adapted/changed into "The God of Stories". So in a weird way, making him the figurehead of the MCU going forward will bring about the same affect. Colton's point at the end of how "the man behind the curtain was expected to be a Loki, but was Kang. We'll learn that it should have been Loki all along" is pretty much where this feeling is coming from

Not to mention that Loki and Kang have an established connection which has to be on purpose. No other MCU character could even be considered here since besides Ant Man no one has even heard of or met Kang. Loki is very aware of the threat Kang poses and is scared of him. I feel like it should end with Loki, Kang and Thor. Also I think Loki’s sacrifice won’t be death, but rather having to leave everything behind to take over the task that he who remains once did like it was said in the video. Loki’s sacrifice is leaving behind his friends and thor in order to guard the timelines so no other kang will ever exist. Basically giving up his desire of being loved to save everything.

Wouldn't Odin suggesting both were born to be kings as a reference to Loki's being Laufey's heir?

This theory doesn't explain how incursions will be handled though...sure there will be no more Kangs, but Loki and Sylvie would still need to somehow prevent universes from colliding with one another. How would they do that without regulating free will and creating a sacred timeline? I feel like that was Kang's whole point that he needed to do what he did for the greater good of all universes. Just a thought!

I got to say, this is by far my favorite delivery of the "Colton is the guy who's trapped in our television and can't get out, but he doesn't know that, so please don't tell him" joke out of all.

This is really spot on. Content Ogburn makes a great case for starring Loki as the general protagonist of the MCU. Plus people love Tom Hiddleston, and he does a fantastic job portraying Loki. The point about Loki and freewill is an important one. And a wonderful tension for Loki going into the future will be if he actually has the ability to break out of that "loop" in which his own name seems to have caught him as Colton points out. And this "inescapability" has implications for all of us as well. The exploration of Loki's narrative arc let's us ask if we can escape our own destinies!

I made a few connections between Loki and Tony Stark, but this is amazing 😱 great insights!

The Loki redemption arc might be the best thing in the MCU right now. A Loki and Thor reunion would be amazing. The only thing that might come close is a Scarlet Witch redemption arc with a Wanda and Vision reunion.

Loki has gotten SO much love in the MCU compared to his comic book counterpart too…good way to keep him in the spotlight and making money for them without needing tons of new characters to save for later from a pure business standpoint

Since Kang is the main antagonist of the multiverse saga appears in Loki's series, that would make Loki the de facto main protagonist of the multiverse saga. By Colton's analysis the "removal of self" should really apply to Sylvie since she's the one who actually killed He Who Remains and really allowed Kang's rise to power in the new multiversal war. But since Loki's new theme is free will, I suppose it could come down to an individual choice. But maybe the "destined to lose" line could be meaning that Loki loses Sylvie to stop Kang permanently to save the multiverse similar to Hawkeye losing Black Widow and the Avengers losing Iron Man to save the universe in the Infinity Saga.

This is a really great theory and a fantastic parallel. The MCU is in need of a new headlining character and that shining star is looking like Tom Hiddleston. And it is true that in S1, Loki experiences that horrible truth that his life was being pre-destined and scripted by He Who Remains. He was meant to be the villain to let others succeed and die by the hands of Thanos as his redemption. S1 goes on to show Loki's journey to find freewill, only to realize that if he chooses freewill and kills He Who Remains, everything else will spiral into chaos. Which is why he had second thoughts about killing He Who Remains and can see the trap, but in her impulsiveness, Sylvie let her emotions take over and she unleashed the Multiverse chaos. S2 is now Loki's journey to repair the chaos and bring 'order' to the universe, but in order to do that, he will have to experience death and rebirth. Where basically he will have to go round and kill off his variants/ past selfs to free up his life essence to be united by OB's machine, and build him back into 1 single Loki. So yeah, the first episode is kind of the end point where we see 1 single Loki, but the rest of the series will probably have to explain the trials, difficulties and pain and suffering that Loki has to make killing off his variants and past self. Change involves pain, and he will have to experience this pain and sacrifice in order to grow as a person and as a hero. The incredible thing about He Who Remains is he is he somehow knows that the loop is inevitable, its just what stage of the loop we are at now. He knows history repeats itself and that with chaos comes order, and when you're too comfortable with order, chaos will happen. He knows that somehow despite the chaos, the 1 variant of him will wise up, kill off/ deny all the other Kangs and become the new god-emperor and master of the universe script. So Loki, being the agent of chaos, is that person who yeah will cause chaos, but order will result from the chaos because things just loop back. Unless, as the video states, Loki takes himself out of the equation or does something different. Loki wished to get out of his villain loop. So now he has and has entered the hero track, but now he has to do the hero loop, which is fight himself and his past, in order to move forward. Perhaps the way out is for Loki to stop being the agent of chaos and instead fight for goodness and order instead of making a mess of things

This makes a lot of sense of the mess we've seen so far. A Loki who puts his ambition aside to care about others has the right temperament (and chaotic talent) to bust out of a loop and achieve a glorious purpose. The death of his mother and meeting other Lokis have given him perspective. By contrast, post-Endgame, Dr. Strange seems to be recklessly bumbling his way into one cosmic catastrophe after another (Spider-Man 3, Multiverse of Madness), somehow having forgotten what came before.
