Many people have discussed Lords of Chaos. I may be a bit late to the party in regards to viewing it...but I did! And...ugh, yeah, it's what you'd imagine.
Now, sadly, I think many of the actual reasons get glazed over. It's easy to piggyback on simply the actors or direction or source material...I think that it is a very wide combination of reasons behind its wrongdoings.
In this video, I give some overarching thoughts regarding the issues with Lords of Chaos. I hope you all enjoy.

Heya, Review Family! Been working around with a new audio and camera setup. Going into the new year, it'll improve. But I recently had the chance to watch Lords of Chaos and figured I would go ahead and do a rant-centric video on the worst parts and flaws of it. What're your thoughts of it? Have you watched LoC? Did you feel as if it was correct/a good movie, or terrible? No judgment! Be sure to let me know down below; can't wait to hear! Rock on, stay heavy and have a great day! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I don’t know dude. I love this move. Rory Culkin is the man. One of my favorite new actors. Highly recommend “Succession.”

Nah, Rory's probably one of the better parts of it and the best actor on the cast. Out of the Culkin family he definitely has the blood of an actor and he tried his best. Quite a few of the actors don't get enough credit in this film, lol.

@@TheMetalTempestYT 🤣yeah I feel ya. I also like Sky Ferrara cause she did some work with DIIV. Her and homeboy were an item. And David Lynch handpicked her for one of his festivals.

Dear Morris, I think you completely miss the point the director is trying to make. I believe this movie is trying to explain that those people/events are not as complex as people like to think. From my point of view its pretty healthy to unromanticize those crazy ass events and to try to see them as they are, beyond the legend and our emotional attachment to the story. Sure, the music - norwegian second wave black metal - is awesome and pretty complex, but the guys which made it are not that complex. They're just simply kids. Sure, some of them got pretty extreme and dark, but they still kids anyway. Lord of the flies vibe. No judgment btw!!! Hope it makes sense! Love your videos :)

Well-said, J Morris. Well-said. Also, Predator is getting a prequel called Prey, Embracer Group's buying Dark Horse and Alien got a high-school play praised by its creator.

*For me?* The only good thing about this movis is that *Arion Csihar (Attila's son)* did a short cameo on it.

I wasn’t a fan of the movie from a dialog/writing perspective as I thought it felt very forced, cringeworthy, and even try hard at time (although I don’t really have a problem with it being not historically accurate), but I absolutely agree that the visuals were great. But yeah a lot of the casting choices were very strange and it completely missed what made that scene so special and what motivated them to do what they did. I can forgive almost all of that though for them casting a Jewish man as Varg lol. That will forever be hilarious to me, and I can only imagine how angry it made Varg

I'm a new fan to metal, I never really enjoyed Mayhem but I actually enjoyed this movie. Even in the trailer it says "based on truth and lies", I think both stories are very interesting and the movie is a lot better than people want to admit. I can really see how metal fans dislike it though. Just stating my opinion though, nothing but respect towards you.

I still haven't seen this movie but I do know that it's pretty much hated for being inaccurate. At least we have Until the Light Takes Us for an accurate documentary of events that happened in early Norwegian black metal.

As much as i love those early black metal albums, people behind them were mostly cringe, I'm ok with changing things to make the movie watchable. I agree that some of them suffered from visible mental illnesses but I don't agree that their motivations were that complex as you paint them in the video. I think that the movie is ok to make people interested in black metal with very simple but interested story. Black metal fans have Untill the light takes us to enjoy

Haven't watched it but watched interview with mayhem and vargs video on their thoughts an still probably going to avoid it because from what I've seen it is very inaccurate for the most part and hollywood didn't really do enough homework to make the movie correctly

They were mostly dumb rebellious teens. Varg has said as much.

The movie didn't even attempt to seem credible. The whole thing came across as a troll and it was a funny movie.

I don't know, I don't like the movie either, but having read all of Euronymous letters I agree he was a really cringy edge lord.

I am completely shameless in my love for this movie. Is it accurate to the events it portrays? No. Is it hollywood "junk food filmmaking"? Yeah. I don't care though, because I had a blast viewing it. I already saw numerous great black metal documentaries and interviews before going in, so I had little desire for a scripted film to teach me the details of the early norwegian black metal scene If this movie gives people the wrong idea about black metal, I say so be it. I don't think it was ever meant to be understood by the general public, and it would take a LOT more for the genre to become ruined in the eyes of the people whose appreciation it needs.
