I am sooo happy that Eternals 2 is cancelled, but I am sad about Captain Marvel 3 (or The Marvels 2). I for one wanted to see it. I would be too for Ant-Man 4 if they were planning on including Luis.

I completely agree that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania should have seen Kang Victorious over the entirety of the Quantum Realm. They hyped up Ant-Man delivering that PHENOMENAL line in all the trailers... Kang: "You thought you could win?" Ant-Man: I don't have to win! We both just have to lose!!" ... just to ultimately disappoint the fans when it should have delivered on the hype of that line way way WAY better!!

7:30 I'll admit it: GotG, to me, looked like the dumbest move they could ever make. But in my book, it's the only 3/3 trilogy in the MCU. And easily the most rewatchable.

The real problem was that they should have made the same formula and use the first phase into an avengers movie and just have a smaller plot lead into a larger story. They just wanted to make it like comics and just get to big

I would agree, but they would still have to tie up the stories of the connecting 3, like this film was trying to do. And I've been saying Rogue should fight Captain Marvel in order to up her powers like they did in the comics.

I think the biggest mistake marvel made was having huge universe effecting events like Loki or even the Snap having absolutely zero effect to the universe and the new content just brushing it all off like nothing big happened. Like Dr Strange 2 literally mentioned No Way Home one time and was just back to normal no biggie! The spiderman films did a wonderful job of showing the weight of the effects of Spider-Man’s prior events like the snap, loss of Tony stark, endgame etc.

Exactly and aside from earth we don’t even know how the snap affected the rest of the Universe. Earth alone should have been in complete chaos after Hulk’s Snap. We saw bits of it in Wandavision, Spider-Man far from home and a few mentions in falcon & wintersoldier and that’s it. They should have focused more on the Aftermath and slowly transition to the multiverse saga instead of quickly jumping to it with little regard to the effects of past events. I think marvel grew too comfortable with the success of the first three phases and thought audiences will show up no matter what they feed them.

What are you talking about lol, the first like 5 Disney plus projects all dealt directly with the blip and how people were affected after the snap and endgame. And Loki is the reason all this crazy multiverse stuff is happening so how can you say it has no affects😂Deadpool is literally in the TVA in his next movie. Also what is Doctor Strange supposed to say about no way home? They don’t remember who spiderman is and he had to worry about Wanda in that movie so where are they supposed to fit time in for him to rant about his events with spiderman😂 That event is over and the villains got sent back to their universes lol, the end.

They also wound up using most of their top villains for movies - with the X Men they now have Magneto and Apocalypse - that's a plus along with Annihilus, Doom and Galactus... Villains wise they are somewhat set IF they write them properly.

3:13 (Captain Marvel 2 as Secret Invasion instead of The Marvels) ...in-hindsight with what happened, I think I would've loved to have seen that instead. also pre-Endgame with what they did in her first movie, that's what I thought they were leading up to. with one faction of the Skrulls siding with Captain Marvel, with the other half that just wanted to take the whole planet. and the whole time the skrulls were there since the 90s, they've been gathering the MCU heroes DNA for some kind of takeover now the world is kind of shattered and vulnerable with how broken they are after Thanos. And somewhere in deep background is Galactus as a next phase baddie. With one of the skrulls telling Captain Marvel that the reason they ended up on Earth was becasue Galactus ate their planet and they've been w/o a homeworld for ages.

James Gunn set the vibe of a goofy tone yet serious. Taika Waititi ruined the tone by overdoing it with the goofy. Anything he did with Marvel was bad tbh. Then it was like everyone else wanted to be the same. I'm glad Marvel is doing these changes!

Avengers infinity war and endgame have been a double edge sword for marvel and super hero movies in general. Those two movies were so big and amazing in every single way that everything else just seems like a step down. Marvel is a victim of it's own success, I have enjoyed the content we've gotten since endgame but I'm also going in not expecting endgame spectacles.

If only Captain Marvel 2 had actually come out, the story of the Kree Empire the wicked kree Emperor the Supreme intelligence It should have shown us Captain Marvel bringing down that Empire her struggle against that Empire which would have taken some time against massive space fleets of the Kree liberating countless worlds from that evil rulership. That would have been a story worth seeing that would have established her character as the protector of the universe!!!

You know what I feel is missing, the thrill, the suspense, the darkness, watch old movies like Captain america civil war and then watch a new one like The marvels, you'll know why civil war was a success. It had a dark plot, where heroes could d!e if they make a mistake, the villain was just a normal human but he made the avengers fight each other, there were sacrifices, learning, character development which just lacks in the newer movies, in the new ones tho, its like, no matter what you do, there's no consequences. "Oh a sun blew out? just re-ignite it haha so simple."

The biggest problem with the Disney and the MCU wasn't the characters they focused on. It was the bad writing. They can focus on all the major (non-risky) characters they want, but if the writing and production is crap, the movie will be Crap - like "Thor Love and Thunder". THAT was just awful. I actually like "The Marvels" more than "Love and Thunder" - but considering Ant Man Quantumania kinda started this slide, followed by Love and Thunder, then the crap that was Secret Invasion, it's not shocking people were staying away from The Marvels. ...which, wasn't a great movie in and of itself. All comes down to writing. Write and produce a good movie, and people will come. ...AKA Guardians of the Galaxy. A movie that was a definite risk, but with great writing, character development and produced to the 9's.

Secret Invasion as a movie was obvious. But Cap Marvel 2 (Decimation Agenda?) should simply reintroduce Carol and make her more sympathetic, use Cotati race and Priests of Pama, an escape from the Brood hive with Glah-Ree, Zak-Del, Noh-Varr would also be a nice element of the plot (or just an intro). I think Cap Marvel 3 (Empyrean Crusade?) could have been used to explain the cosmology with the contest between the Elders (e.g. Grandmaster, Challenger, Collector, Gardener), maybe a 7th infinity stone of oblivion becomes sentient and we would get some guest stars. But that Eternals trilogy is really a shame and a loss even if the first movie was a bit flawed, in it their memories should have been returned to them one by one and we visit Lemuria/Olympia/Polaria as one of them would suffer from Mahd W’yry affliction, plus Deviants like Ghaur, Karkas, Ransak, Kro would also show up. While Eternals 2 Grand Design could see them split into factions as Uranos is released and maybe becomes the Prime Eternal. Eternals 3 Judgement has them combine their forces with others as Dreaming Celestial is destroyed and the Final Host is coming to Earth.

If they were to do a captain marvel 3, they should fill it with x-men, they could have it be about Monica escaping this new world, at the end of the film, rogue could take all of carols powers, ending her trilogy and time as captain marvel, then Monica could take the name like in the comics

I would have really liked a third Captain Marvel movie but I completely understand that they have to concentrate now on more popular IPs. Now I‘m just looking forward to the BIG thing this year, Deadpool & Wolverine - after that the MCU will be different anyway. 😅

no one care a crap about Ironman but he turned into the face of the entire franchase. It's 100% about quality. Give people great movies and great actors and they'll care about the character.

@@mooney0624 the differences you now have a saturation. Back then what was there really before other than Blade? Quality has an element to do with it and I did state that it’s not all a quality issue but until the mutants come there’s a lot of people I just don’t care about.

I don't even think there was Captain Marvel 2. The Marvels was essentially Ms. Marvel movie featuring Captain Marvel. It felt like Spiderman Homecoming feat. Tony Stark. Was also a much better movie than it's given credit for.

Reminder: Antman 3 and The Marvels switched released dates, hence antman 3 being shorted 4 months time for cgi effects and not looking great at times. Might have been saved a little in some areas; with the lawsuit against kang actor Johnathan Majors (the us army dropped their ad with him first, sounding the signal to Hollywood to follow suit), which is why avengers isn’t named the kang dynasty at the moment. Marvel really though that since cpt marvel one and antman 2 did well that their sequels would turn in profit, but they mainly did well because those movies released between avengers 3 and 4 - 3 broke hearts so everyone guaranteed watched the next films out, to mainly learn antman was in the micro verse between films and what that beeper 📟 Nick fury used as he got blipped.

I think they should have carried on the story from the previous Antman in Antman 3 then teased Kang at the end as a big bad in the same way they did Thanos, that whole Council of Kangs post credit scene was more like something from Saturday night live so im glad theyre not doing that anymore

Thanos is one of those characters who set the tone, but I wouldn't want to see him overused. It would cheapen what he has done so far, and we would just be like, "Oh... here is Thanos again, for the third, fourth time..."

Also the marvels we didn’t see enough of Kamala growth not even I. The movie she was more like the risk person on the team and it was more of a carol ego vs Monica ego and the pacing of the movie felt like a lot of scenes could of been add idk

I don’t see a Captain Marvel 3 or even a Black Panther 3 coming out before Secret Wars, I can see it coming out after. Also, get destin daniel cretton to direct the third installment. Like, he has worked with Brie Larson before and pulled great performances out of her.

I agree on the Ant-Man take. Truth be told, I think more backstory on the micro-verse would have made his character more interesting. But in all actuality, Hank Pym should get re-booted as a younger man in the MCU. His adventures in the micro-verse were great stories, and the fact he knew so little about it in Quantumania was off to me, especially compared to his wife.

Captain Marvel: Secret Invasion single handily would’ve saved the Captain Marvel franchise. It would’ve felt very similar to how they did Captain America Civil War
