So with Mia calling Darren, dad and Darren I completely understand it! I’m adopted by aunt and uncle. I call my uncle dad when addressing him to my siblings/his children and then more so uncle when I’m addressing him. But honestly it’s whatever comes out first. It doesn’t mean I love him more as a “dad” than an “uncle” it’s just whatever comes out first.

So, my cousin has PKU disease which is a condition that causes increased levels of phenylalanine (amino acid) in the body. She has a very strict diet where she can't have protein or can only have very little grams of protein a day. When I saw you substitute portabella mushrooms for burger patty since you are vegan it reminded me of my cousin.
