All of this is true, I know sense I actually go to a Montessori school right now. (Undercroft Montessori) The only thing that sometimes varies in Montessori schools is the classroom separation; at my school, the classrooms are categorized by grade. First, there is Primary (4 classrooms),then Lower Elementary (3 classrooms, 1st 2nd and 3rd grade), after that, there's Upper Elementary (2 Classrooms, 4th 4th and 6th), and finally there's middle school (1 Classroom, 7th and 8th). Other than that, everything in that video is right.

I want my children to attend Montessori school, but it is not possible for us financially. As a military family, we have been sent to live in very expensive areas of the country and the cost of private schools seems to increase with the overall cost of living. One of my children recently skipped a grade because he is very advanced, yet I don't think he enjoys school. Montessori would be a huge improvement. What are parents to do in these situations? It's very sad as a parent to know that there are better options for your child, but not be able to afford them. Being a military family makes it more difficult to get scholarships from private elementary schools because they would rather invest in a child that will stay longer. So public school it is. There are a lot of college scholarships for military kids, but I'm pretty sure his attitude towards learning will be jaded by then. Great video though. Maybe public schools will eventually take note.
