This is mindblowing. Growing up on Sundays my family would watch the Deseret Book Movie about the teenager you mentioned who resisted the Nazi's and the film gave all of the credit to the boy's Mormon faith. I feel sick to my stomach now realizing that the church which threw that boy to the wolves and let him die, now takes all of the credit dishonestly. And those callous words from Monson! What in the world is wrong with these people?
@TheShodan923 жыл бұрын
Very much so... The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints leaders are disgusting liars and to use the honorable name of this courageous boy to promote their religion knowing that they betrayed him to his death is extremely sickening. One would likely hear his story in the usual twisted and dishonest way at Sunday School to make the Mormon church look so awesome and honorable. The Mormons were told to stay in goosestep with the Nazi's because they had no balls like this young man did.

Designer here; your beautimous faces are plenty. But if you want to snazz things up on the cheap I have a couple ideas: 1. Fold a throw and drape it over the back of the sofa. Preferably a contrasting neutral or fun understated pattern. Bonus points for fringe or chonky open knits 2. Layer the yellow pillow in the corner of the sofa and the pink pillow just in front/to the side of it. Makes ~layers~ 3. Adjust the shot to be either straight on the center of the sofa, or if the space doesn't allow, mount the camera ever-so-slightly higher and angle down a bit more so that the top of the sofa is within the middle portion of the top third of the shot (of the of the of the). K back to the actual topic at hand, I gotta rewind now.

One thing that always got me about discussions of the holocaust in church is the whole "sins of their fathers will not be visited on their children" thing gets ignored. I had a seminary teacher say that Jewish people were targeted specifically because they were the people that killed Christ. When I brought up the whole sins of the fathers thing she talked around it, like Mormons do.

As someone who speaks German, Hübener would be pronounced like “who been er” (with a slight difference in the “oo” sound) so you’re pretty close. One way to pronounce the ü correctly is to form your lips as if you’re saying the letter “E” while making the “oo” sound (“U” is never pronounced like “you” in German).

Somehow, this information about Mormonism and Nazism doesn't surprise me at all. On the other side of the coin, some Catholic authorities have approved of liberation theology and Marxism in Latin America and some Christian churches have been happy to collaborate under the old Soviet government or the current Chinese one, and, honestly, I think communism is just as bad as fascism. Could it be that authoritarian institutions, i.e., churches and mosques, can work hand in hand with authoritarian political systems? There's plenty of historical evidence of this phenomenon.

@PALI PALI I am not persuaded by your demands. I don't know why you view me this way and I assume it's because of the way you interpreted my words. Maybe these words of clarification will help you to understand what I mean: I recognize the dangers, in myself, of following a religion, especially the Mormon religion, because of what is in my bloodline and the career path I chose, a career path I chose after growing up in that religion. In the wrong place and wrong time, that is a really scary thought to have about myself, because there truly would be something for me to renounce. Me having this conscience awareness and publicly announcing it a year ago is me denouncing that religion without me specifically having to say the words "I denounce this church". Now you come around a year later telling me to renounce your interpretation of my words or fear what the internet thinks of me?!! Boy, girl, non-binary, or whatever gender you are...you don't know me. You especially don't know me coming off as aggressively as you are that I would cowardly give into your demands without thinking first.
