I tamed one as a first tame after getting wiped to get some berries and damn, this dude is severely underutilized. I have fibre and berries for days. Also they get some wood and thatch.

They’re also incredibly strong, I’ve taken on a Carno before and it wasn’t even that leveled! (To be fair it was a weak Carno but still!)

I killed a 150 alpha raptor with one ( to be fair it had 5000% damage but that was leveled in 14 levels)

@@sourisgogo I have no clue how it got so high. i was on normal settings, (difficculty on 1) and it had like 200% damage when i tamed it. i killed a spino with it and within 14 levels it was level 5000%.

@@Sharkyhayden well this is in the dino stats parameters :p you probably set up very high rates when upgrading damages per level

These are super underrated. I breed them, and a few years ago on the 8x event I killed a single racer with one and harvested a black box of prime meat.

@@wellstang3204 whelp, found out I dont need it. I just goto Gen2 and get all the resources I want in one trip. You can still move completely incumbered and get off ground and fly around. Then transfer STr8 to your bed and popcorn it all out. I got over 20k chitin, took 5k oil from a rig, a shit ton of organic poly and no idea the amount of metal, wood, and stone. Only limited by health of shotty, chainsaw, and Gen2 mining laser

Thank you for knowing that they can't be ridden to use the points in harvesting!!!!! You have NO IDEA how many people i have argued with about that fact. They get so much harvesting the wrong way that they think i have to be wrong and won't even try the right way, lol. Mossy's are just awesome!!!!

you actually can ride them for harvest and get more that way in alot of ways. trick is they have 3 harvesting attacks and each one works better or worse depending on what your getting and what button you hit. like off penguins i get almost 60 poly while im riding it. but you gotta try each different harvest attack

I play this game since alpha release. Tamed one (my first btw) more or less for berrys as my first dino ever on the lost isle. And i totally felt in love with her. Kinda hate myself for not taming one of those beautiful creatures earlyer. Silly me ;) My first go to "dino" when i start a new game for sure.

I have a mate who uses his moschops on ab, he will kill karkinos with his spino then ride his moschops and bites the bodies and gets 350-400 per crab, i can only imagine how much it would get if he whistled it onto the bodies. Risky being ab though lol

They can get wood, thatch, fiber, tons of berries, and they are even amazing fighters! I have a level 209 and It does like 150 damage

I came back to this game after not playing it for a while and i couldn't figure out why my moschops wasn't getting prime meat. Guess i have to whistle it not ride it. What a finicky detail.

On extinction i have moschops that deal 200-400 damage, I don't remember very good but it's just killing everything

I mean even though you can't ride them in Mobile, and only in around Level 20-90 they're my best Fiber gatherer that can take around 5000 fibers in just less than 1 day as long as your place is safe and lushful and boost Only their Atk dmg and that's it. And an early Berry gatherer for Mejo and Narcoberries.

There's an option to "loot enemy's inventory". You should probably enable that.

On Gen 2 official pve i cant get it to harvest unridden, but i noticed that the right-click got significantly more than the left click but pretty much the same as with a 255dmg chainsaw. Will it get even more unridden?

I find thylas really good for harvesting bodys. Much safer than a moschops. Mantis are also pretty good if you have high melee and high end tools. Using moschops is pretty limited due to how weak they are. If you're out farming on a mos you'll get clapped easy

not me a year late but a moshchops can kill a trex if you pump a lot into health because my moshchops goes up like 400 health per level i pump and it’s a op fighter

That method does not work on The Island Redwood stumps. It only works on the newer DLC maps.

I cloned many karkinos on genesis 2 but if i kill them my moschops wont harvest them if i put him on aggressive or attack your target...any solutions?

So, counterpoint, its clunky and gets itself killed easily, youll spend so much more time dealing with its ai half the time that farming just with something simple and quick like a chainsaw for sap will be more efficient half the time

It's a matter of patience and practicality versus efficiency. Playing offline/single player, I might never use a chainsaw, given I'm in no hurry to do anything in particular, but that pace is different from person to person, and all opinion are subject to some form of change. A moschops is a jack of all, master of none, meaning while there are dinosaurs/creatures more suited to the task, you dont have access to those dinosaurs very early on, whereas you _might_ find a moschops who isnt a Diva and wants something easy to obtain.

I’ve taken on high level Rexes with my op moschops and won without a scratch. I even beat a low level giga and carchar with him and came out of the fight at half health. These things are OP. You can literally spawn in, harvest some berries, and feed them to a moschops who wants berries. (If it doesn’t want berries you can go out of render distance and come back and it will re-roll the wanted food) moschops are absolutely OP.

moschops is amazing for gathering the dead igthys on val. but by far the best harvesting dino for poly is the doed. dont believe me? go smack the bee hives on crystal isles.
