At age 17, she was rejected from college. At age 25, her mother died from disease. At age 26, she suffered a miscarriage. At age 27, she got married. Her husband abused her. Despite this, her daughter was born. At age 28, she got divorced and was diagnosed with severe depression. At age 29, she was a single mother living on welfare. At age 30, she didn't want to be on this earth. But, she directed all her passion into doing the one thing she could do better than anyone else. And that was writing. At age 31, she finally published her first book. At age 35, she had released 4 books, and was named Author of the Year. At age 42, she sold 11 million copies of her new book, on the first day of release. This woman is J.K. Rowling. Remember how she considered suicide at age 30? Today, Harry Potter is a global brand worth more than $15 billion dollars. Never give up. Believe in yourself. Be passionate. Work hard. It's never too late. She is J.K. Rowling.

I want to thank real-life English for everything, I´m an English teacher in my country, but as you´ve mentioned English at school is so different from real life, so since I discovered you, I started changing the way I was teaching English and make fun and natural for my students, I´ve learned much from you and put into practice most of the tips you give us.

That's great to read, because most of English teachers in my country and your country I guess teach English without love for their jobs they only teach because is their work, another stuff is their awful pronunciation, find good English teachers in publics institute is so hard.

Hi there. I'm Paolo from Italy. You are both unique and special persons and that's why I would like to share my personal experience with you. It's a story about achievement, passion, determination and huge desire. Today exactly a year ago my mother died. I lived and took extreme care of her for five years and seven months. While I was at home with her, I simply decided to teach English myself. My goal since the beginning has been able to express myself in English like I do in my native language. I'm getting very emotional and I can tell you this, learning English has saved my life, and If I hadn't had my passion I would have become crazy, during those terrible a and beautiful years. I will never forget that. As Jk Rowling is my personal "superhero" I always use a phrase she said. "A rock bottom situation had become the rock solid foundation upon which I rebuilt my life. Definitely. Thank so much for letting me share my story with you. You know I love what you do. Great job.

Oh how wonderful that I found your video and podcast. I'm a retired English teacher that I want to continue learning and improving my English. This language is my passion since I was 12 years old when I travelled to US and lived in Utah for three years. Later in life I got my degree in English language teaching, worked for 10 years, then I got a scholarship and studied a Masters degree in England. Thank you so much for your video. From now on, I'll listen to all of them. By the way, I'm from Chile.
