so according to you people who grow wheat and rice are not farmers . is their is no limit to your andhbhakti . if guys like you are that worried then let punjab export its produce via pakistan border . you guys don't have to buy a single grain . let punjab make deals with middle east countries and just promise indian government won't ban exports from punjab if their is wheat or rice shortage in india.

@@aloksoni5474 open the market then take away all your subsidies . a punjabi farmers gets about 8000 rs in subsidies from central government per acre . that is nothing . take example of wheat, in 2022 wheat price in international market was 3500 rs per quintal while msp was 2200 rs farmers lost 1300 rs per quintal . per acre wheat yield is 20 quintal in punjab . so punjab farmer lost 26000 rs per acre just so that people like you can be fed. solution is simple. no export ban on agriculture and let international buyers compete with indian buyers . no need for subsidies. farmers in punjab will grow what they get the best price for.

The slow transition away from agricultural employment has witnessed a reversal after 2019, with a notable rise in agricultural employment &, currently, a decline especially in manufacturing. India’s manufacturing under shrank from 17% in 2010 to 13% in 2022 to 11% in 2023, as per Index of Industrial production performance data. Even with govt push, in 10 years, manufacturing in India has fallen, mainly due to Inflation. Customs process is difficult in India compared to China. The average import tariff imposed by India on WTO members is 18.1%, compared to 7.5% for China and between 0% and 5% rate in Vietnam. The money that companies put into the future of their businesses, for things like new machines & factories, is stagnant. Firms are not seeing demand to increase their capacity. India’s manufacturing activity slipped has slipped in 10 years. Middle-class business create a lot more jobs, trains the youth and increases the per capita income of the country. We are not an export-driven economy such as China or Vietnam. So if domestic demand is not picking up, then you are likely to have problems. Instead of doing cheap politics (voters are not blind), do some vikas for middle-class businesses who actually create jobs. A nation grows when the middle-class has more money in their pockets. 50% of the poorest Indians with jobs pay 64% of the total taxes, 40% of middle-class in India pay 33% of total taxes, while the wealthiest 10% in India only contribute 3% of taxes; Indian express: India's poorest 50 percent pay two-thirds of gst, oxfam. The 8 crore new employment in 4 years data by RBI, includes the rise in "unpaid" workers like housewives & the rise in people going back to agriculture due to joblessness! India's official unemployment data, CMIE: 2024 (6 months) = 9.2 percent 2023 = 8 percent 2022 = 7.33 percent 2021 = 6 percent

Due demonetisation and gst msme has suffered after that covid came that causes serious disruption in market which has hurt small business very hard. Govt should stop it's focus on signing FTA because product are still not competitive in international market instead it should try to increase domestic consumption.

@@xxyz2023your oxfam data is wrong. Also you are making a mischievous point here percentage contribution manufacturing has declined over the years not because manufacturing is going down it's going because other sector are significantly doing much better then manufacturing. last year gva growth in manufacturing is 9.2%. Other point india gdp in 2011-12 was 5.2percent but share of manufacturing was still high it doesn't mean economy is doing good.

The Minimum Support Price (MSP) supports the market. Without MSP, prices would fall. Due to significant government buying, private players must compete, which keeps market prices high. While crop diversification is necessary, it requires incentives and education about alternative crops. Farmers usually do not prefer to change crop. In other states, fisheries are booming with high income and do not require as much MSP support.

Government should lock MSP. Eventually the market will out-compete it.

first remove export ban . poor farmers have to pay for sick bastards like you because of rice and onion export ban . they can get much better price in international markets.

MSP should be given only to small farmers for small amount of produce, sold at mandis. Govt should also help reimburse transportation costs. All high volume sales must be taxed. Govt benefits should only be for the small guy, not for big players.

The moment MSP is withdrawn, the E-NAM prices and market prices would come down crashing. As we have seen with the recent tariff hike by private telecom players. Common man's money is used to splash parties for billionaires.
@rajx7120
@rajx7120 Ай бұрын
Don't blame telecom companies for the hike. They are paying heavy spectrum license fees to the govt, and they were barely making any profits. And without profits, they can't improve their infrastructure to improve service. The real reason for price crash on e-NAM is oversupply. Mindlessly everyone growing same crop, that too water-guzzling crops. Respect concept of demand and supply.

Everyone prefers to eat rice and wheat over coarse grains. Mono crops require very little effort on the part of the farmers. MSP acts like a hedge against the downturns of the market. These reports are actually prepared by economist, who haven't ploughed a real field in their life.
