The Morag Tong are on of the most complex factions in TES. They just aren't a bunch of assassin's. They are a legally sanctioned guild that keeps the peace between the Great Houses. Morrowind did a great job explaining the way they operate.

The threat of anyone being murdered sorta reminds me of how and why nukes were not used during the Cold War. Like it just sorta created this stalemate of mutually assured destruction if one party attacked the other party.

I was gifted Skyrim last year and it was the first time I’ve ever played the game and have been completely transfixed since then. I’m a long time Zelda fan so to experience a game with even more depth of lore is just intoxicating to me. So far a new fan your videos are so incredibly enjoyable. Looking forward to when I can start elder scrolls online. That being said this particular video was so interesting to me because it of course raises the question of whether or not a concept like this could actually pan out in the real world.

Morag Tong are way better assassins than the Dark brotherhood.

What about killing Morag Tong assassins, like you can do in dragonborn? You just go in and wipe out a dungeon full of them. Should second councillor Arano be tried for a non legal murder for hire scheme. I assume the LDB doesn't care about a murder charge, but it raises a huge legal question for those who resist a writ of execution...

Between the Morag Tong and Dark Brotherhood I honestly prefer the Morag Tong because they most closely fit the classical ninja archetype while the Dark Brotherhood is more a merciless bloodthirsty brutal guild. The fact they are legally sanctioned is just icing on the cake as far as I am concerned. A ninja or a member of the Morag Tong are similar in that both are given their objective which is to slay their target and ONLY that target and it is up to the member and the skill of that member to accomplish that in any way possible. That could be by stealth skills illusion magic and possibly calm spells to keep the guards from attacking you, or shooting them with a bow or spell from a distance, or just walking up to the target and tanking the blows from the guards and running away afterwards after the target is dead and everything in between as long as you achieved your objective and no one but your target was killed. That last one might not be the typical ninja or assassin way but who says a Barbarian build can't assassinate someone with honor for money.

Question for you, what if a dunmer flees from morrowind if he finds out he has an honourable writ of execution? Would the Morag Tong chase or do they stop at the border? And what if the assassin would kill someone that wasn't on a writ, but managed to escape, would they be given up by the Morag Tong? Or would they be vindicated but shamed?

Have you ever considered using the elder scrolls total war mod for footage, last I saw the models are good and you could probably just set graphics to full and record a few minutes of various units marching
