Thanks man super kind to make this vid and great ideas for making a cheaper alternative! also a little tip/ thing to mention is about destroying the minifigs I tend to try and only put blood on cheap pieces ie a lot of the marvel figs in that zombie video are the cheapest ones off BrickLink so it works out as I’m only destroying say $10 worth of Lego maybe except a main character for example but most that ones getting killed and are only on frame for a second or so I use super cheap pieces and sometimes swap out to a piece I’ve already damaged at the moment of impact and blood if that makes sense to keep costs down

Another good recipe I found is soap, a drop of water, and lots of red food dye. Spilled it on carpet, with a wet rag it came out in 3 hard wipes since it is soap. I use it on white clay and majority comes out.

I’ve used red markers in the past, paper, clay, plastic and have never used actual fake blood as it’s more work and more graphic but it’s really cool to see your breakdown.

My suggestion for the playdoh. If it's too light add a bit of brown to darken but use just a little so you don't darken it to much. To make the impact get a pencil or what ever works for you. Put the playdoh on the minifigure. Don't worry th playdoh won't stay on the character so you can't get it off. Just try not to get it inside the head because it will me annoying to get out. Same thing with the legs. Anyway use the pencil or tool of your choice to make a blood slash or bullet hole. If you wanna go the extreme way and your willing to sacrifice a minifigure to make it look extra good, use a little drill or use something to make a little hole for the bullet. Hope this was helpful

If your on a budget to make gore in your stop motion get clay and blood gel from spirit halloween and when you do a fight scene and the man gets shot are something put the clay on the figure and then add the fake blood and that will make it look like and if he is near a wall put the blood gel on the wall to make it realistic
@XerxesAnimations
@XerxesAnimations 2 жыл бұрын
You can also use fake blood from party stores, which looks very good and can be removed from the figs afterwards

I think the stop motion KZfaqr “called fingers” ,spelled with two f’s by the way, uses the best way to use gore in his videos. He or she, probably male since their profile is a Lego figure with a mustache, uses either clay or play-do to create the blood effects with little bits of Lego I.e studs or “cheese slopes” to simulate the effect of flesh being spread across walls or ground surfaces.

One tip I have is to use felt-tip pens, if you dab the darker shade of red in the correct way, it can look like blood. Plus, it comes off!

This method is older than time, I just picked a good example of someone who currently is pretty popular and had lots of footage to do it with! In fact this really applies to the 12 principles of animation more than anything.

Also washable paint can be pretty good I tested it out in a video I did not upload yet but using this washable paint it is good for violent scenes let's say like a head on a spear or smashing a Lego head on a brick wall the one downside to using this washable paint is when I tried to get it out it's stained my platform but I am okay with that. Edit if you use fake blood it looks decent but not really good I would use it if there is a lot of violence in the video like let's say if you make a zombie apocalypse and they kill a bunch of people in the alleyway and it's covered in blood I would suggest using fake blood but like for one kill I would use the washable paint because fake blood it's harder to use and can be a mess to and maybe stain carpet or something.
