Chip is so hard to make it work at rank, using his ult is a shortcut to a 5v5 match at 4mins, which you would mostly lose due to timing. If allies enter the portal, enemies would also enter the portal, which would be to their advantage because your allies' skills will be on cooldown after the initial clash. Dont play him unless you have a pre-made party. It is better to use classic roams than use Chip as of now.

Tbh, I feel Chip's skill ceiling is higher than Fanny (my opinion). Fanny's skill ceiling is pure micro but the macro skill she needs is nearly as braindead as gold laner. She is not the jungler that demands overall game understanding unlike Lancelot or Ling that really needs game understanding to be effective. Just make sure you are flying and you can easily nuke core enemies (goldlane, core-jungle, midlane) then escape and repeat. Chip's skill ceiling is pure macro. -Super hard to use in solo rank and very unfriendly hero to use (makes a false impression of easy to use because you just play with just using your skills not understanding the skills) -Harder to use in 5-man as you assume the enemy is aware of positioning and timing making it super hard to gain advantage. -Needs deep understanding of overall game like what everyone builds, cooldown of skills and battle spells, hp, positioning etc. -His skill set is unique for roamers as he is more of timing+position of rotation. -Bad skill set for damage soaking, nuking, team sets, buff+protection, lane pressure, jackpot-provide, vision-laying.

He is not the best as Roamer/Tank. His Ult is counter intuitive for a Roamer role since it requires other Roles to provide Assistance instead of him assisting them. I think he is more suited as Jungler or Exp. For Exp Lane, Skill 4 will be good for cutting waves and fast rotations. For Jungler, you can build him like Fredrinn or Akai then gank using Skill 4 with the priority of Thunderbelt as Damage Source. Sustain Build also works due to Skill 1 having low CD.
