We heard stories of a Mine that was locked up for years because something Terrifying had happened there . We decide to go there and find out why no one is allowed to go in . I can't believe what I saw .
Unless you have direct permission from the State , we strongly suggest that you stay away from this mine site.

i worked in a hard rock gold mine in Congress Az in 1991 and we used pneumatic slushers for mucking out high drifts, dumping the muck into an ore chute, down to a lower drift where we could us a mucker to remove it to the main drift. our main drift was about 14’ wide, secondary drifts were about 6 to 8’ wide, the ore body lay on a 70 degree angle and ranged from 2 inches to 9 feet thick, the hanging wall and the footwall were hard granite. it was pretty cool, sometimes we’d blast into old stopes the old timers made with hand steel. The Congress mine had been visited by the President in the 1800s Mckinley i think.

@@Askjeffwilliams yeah, it was for a Canadian firm called Malartic Hygrade, the mine was only opened for a few years before they closed down. they had a picture of a whole town back when there was a whole town there, an upper town where our mining office and mill was and a lower town, where most of the miners lived, you would go out ghost town road to get to the mine and drive right through where the lower town had been, there were a few old buildings but not much left, i lived in Desert hills, north of Phoenix and it was a 128 mile round trip to get to work, eventually I rented a house in Wickenburg for $200 dollars a month, wouldn’t you love rent like that today?

The current owners apparently consider it an environmental hazard. It is a lead mine. But why not turn it over to the Feds as a Superfund? Supposedly it is very valuable if it can be pumped out. Maybe waiting for the right offer from Newmont or Barrick.

Jeff is one of the coolest dudes I've ever seen on youtube. Just as a person - you can tell. I can tell. I've watched him since he was repairing cars in his home shop, doing lessons on how to do certain types of jobs. He's just a good hearted guy with an absolute ton of positive energy surrounding him, and a truly remarkable outlook and attitude. Neat fella. And I've never met him in person. Don't need to: Look at his wife! She adores him! He's definitely an exceptional human in many ways.

Its the same in mines in England, after all was said and done they would throw everything in the hole and close it up or just leave (depending on the year it shut). This was to save the profits made from the mine as it would cut into profits just to remove the equipment and have it sit on the surface

I love your looks into the history of mining. I suppose with a little coaxing I could be convinced to go to my home state and make a video of a historical oilfield that has some of the same features, an engine house, a compressor house and. Of course a bunk house. It started in the40s and still runs to this day although most of the buildings are mothballed.

I led a mineral exploration program at the Bristol Mine in the late 80s for a large mining company. Looks like it hasn't changed much since then. We refurbished the main hoist and were able to get onto all levels above the water table at the 1400 level - Interesting place. The Lincoln County museum in Pioche used to have a few pictures and mineral samples from our work there.

Hi Jeff this is Ryan Courtemanche from kelowna British Columbia Canada. Hope all is well. I don't know if I told you. My dad and I build a water receillating river box in January of this year to help me get more gold. So this past Sunday March 20th I started gold panning in the kelowna BC creek called mission creek. I found a spot in the creek were there was a big rock in the creek. I started digging my first pan I got a flake of gold. Then I started putting the dirt into a bucket that I make like a classifier. I know that I have found more flakes keep adding to my bucket so I can take it home. Then March 21 .then I started to put my water receillating river box together so I can start. Testing to see how river box works. This my first time using the river box. It going to take some learning to get working just right. So far it works. I have started to feed water receillating river. I starting to some little flakes of gold in rubber black mat. I have taken some pictures of feeding the river box and pictures where the flakes of gold. And I have 8 flakes gold. If you would like to see pictures of my water receillating river and the gold that I find and sharing how I'm doing. How do can I email you? I really enjoy watching your videos how to find gold in creeks and how read the banks of falling. I enjoy watching you

One of the neat things science has come to understand in my adult life is the fracture angles in rock batholiths that are conducive to the hot water depositing and or gathering the gold from the microscopic distribution of ancient sea beds into quarts veins via chemistry

Old big machinery is interesting, where i grew up was flat fenland, their were massive water pumps that used to keep the land drained, some of the pumping stations had magnificent pumps built in the 1840's and still running today, absolute works of engineering art.

So disembodied people tend to hang out at their old dwelling or work places but I have never heard of a credible report of a truly haunted mine. It might be that mines are so unpleasant for miners that they'll "hang out" either where they are buried (at the burial ground) or if their house is still standing, they'll hang out over there. There is a possibility that miners who died in cave-ins are still wandering that level of the mine, looking for a way out.

Can you imagine Jeff as a 10 year old school kid? These days he’d be so medicated his head would be mush. Adderol, Riddalin, and all the others would of been forced down his throat for being curious and smart. What a great guy and great teacher. I’m an educator myself, and appreciate the heck out of what you have shared and teach to us all.

LET'S GO! My family owned scrap yards and we used to get thieves come in and try to sell to us all the time. Sickening to have to send them on their way politely without a bloody nose. There is always a scrappy that will buy from them so it will always happen.

Not sure if you have ever done this, but... why not a video telling 7s about your wife? She sounds very nice. Maybe how you met. How long you have been together? Do you have any kids? Seems like the most important video you could ever make. Just a short introduction. Before your father passed, we had no idea who was behind the camera. It would be nice to learn a little about the family of Jeff. Great video. Slow down a bit! Lol.
