Why not to buy CHUWI Freebook

As you can see in the video, the touchscreen is absolutely not fit for use. I bought the Freebook so I could also do some creative design work on it. First month or two I just used it as a standard laptop and was pretty satisfied. Until today when I got the pen out, put a new battery in it (never use the crap it comes with) and started trying to write, draw etc. But every time I tried to write, the screen went blank, completely black. Also, the touchscreen seems to suffer from random "ghost" touches, so is completely unusable for anything that would substitute the mouse. As I purchased the Freebook on the CHUWI store on AliExpress more than 15 days ago, I can't even open a dispute! Stay clear of CHUWI, is my advice.

Thanks for de video. I can't help noticing that every time you was about to write, a "Ctrl" signal appeared, maybe some keys where presing while you tried to write?

Hi, no, made sure that no key could be pressed. Discovered what the problem is though: when connected to the charger, the whole laptop gets "electrified", so electricity is leaking from the charging system to the case of the laptop. This electric charge is responsible for sending all types of weird signals.down the touchsensor electronics. So, you can't use the touchscreen with the laptop charger plugged in. Pretty bad.

@@FWulfert is it possible to deactivate touch screen temporarily to use it like a normal display and at the same time to use the pen?

Windows 10 or 11? Looked to be a Windows issue than hardware...Perhaps!

Really does occurs you that problem? I use the same pencil with chuwi hi 10 xr and minibook now, but i thought its a driver OS issue

@@FWulfert Well mine works fine so I do not think that your individual experience is a valid reason to to tell everyone on the internet not to buy it. That I think in itself is a reflection of your pride and arrogance.
