Nuclear power is commonly associated with negative perceptions has been magnified by the atomic bomb and power plant accidents. Find out how story of nuclear power generation begins with a natural element found on Earth’s crust. And as nuclear technology advances, its use expands to medical, space and other significant industries.

Europe has over 100 operational nuclear power plants in use over 30 years without one single accident. Fearing what you dont understand without being educated on facts and logic, is just shallow thinking. US nuclear powered ships have been in service since the 60s without a single incident. This isn't old Soviet era technology were talking about here.

i believe it's our only hope against climate change, given its low greenhouse gas emissions and energy density. other sources either has greenhouse gas emissions, or doesn't scale up well enough for global use.

Singapore has a former Minister of Health that replied "NO BLAME CULTURE" when people died in a government hospital from faulty hospital procedures, and is now the DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER. You want to trust such a government to run a nuclear power plant?

Your assuming alot @majorcarlton137. Are you certain that you have been 'educated with facts and logic'? There are far safer and cheaper options than nuclear.

This video is full of false arguments. Sure there are pros and cons to nuclear power, but this video has nothing to do with that. "Serious accidents have been few and far between" But then Chernobyl and Fukushima continue to be still giant disasters, burning billions while making enormous areas uninhabitable. Even one of those accidents is far too many. "None died in the [Fukushima] accident of the reactor" Tell that to all the people living there losing their homes and having to relocate. Just because Japan is a rich country and was able to save their peoples lives, it does not make the disaster any less bad. "Uranium, a natural element" in this context is absurd. Uranium needs to be processed and enriched before it can serve as fuel. If that is natural, anything is natural. Plastic waste is natural as well, huh? It's made out of oil from the earth! Listening other practical uses of nuclear science also does not make nuclear energy any saver. These uses you list have nothing do to with the problems that come with nuclear energy. "CO2 = 0 ton" is the biggest lie you put in this video. Sure, you are not burning fuel like you would with coal, but you still need to mine, transport it and build all the infrastructure. Plus you need to dispose of all the waste. This is like saying electric cars have zero CO2. It is simply wrong.

Fukushima and Chernobyl prove how safe nuclear energy is (the safest we have). Those areas are 'uninhabitable' only because of the fear you promulgate. Both areas have exploded as wildlife refuges.

- "full of false arguments", perhaps you might wanna add in "intermingled with valid points". rarely does a credible video with false statements fail to mix the two, presenting potential logical fallacies (think effect before cause paradox) - "few and far between" gets vague, and we can debate if 2 major incidences, 7 years apart, with a 3rd in 2011 defeats the "few and far between" description in the grand scheme of 64 years (assuming 1960 - 2024) and ~400+ nuclear power plants. this point gets contentious. - many people who argue "no nuclear" weight the cost of nuclear meltdown way higher than many experts do. there is such a think as risk analysis that accounts for both frequency and severity, multiplying them to derive a risk score
