Noah does amazing things when he looses. However this time he we need to do better than he has ever done before. Clearly Seville can go even faster. I can see him going 9.7 between now and Paris Olympics. This is just the energy that the sport needs at this time.

Nah, no chance, man has got nowhere near the gas to get there. Over 100 Noahs special power is consistency, like over 10 guys have him on pure pace just aint consistent. He is a mid 9.8 guy. He wins if the field isnt on form.

Not surprised at Seville winning and I expect more from him this season as he is both ready and hungy. Would love to see more Branding and Marketing from our Jamaican athletes. This shy and humble foolishness has gone too far now. Merch should have been ready to go in order to profit from the global attention. Justin my brother, we love Noah but how could he expect to come in our house and beat us? He knows we would not allow that. Noah is part Jamaican. We accept him as such. But he gotta give us our flowers. He gotta give Seville his flowers too bro. Your homie there got it right. You are spot on too Justin. Coach Mills got Oblique on a special program which will peak him at the Olympics. That's how we do it. Oblique is gonna run at our Nation Trials but don't expect any lightening fast time. In fact he may not even win. He's gonna do just enough to make it to Paris. Then he will unleash the 'BOLT+ Mode' on Noah. We gonna gut him like a deer. We still gonna love him. We still gonna respect him but we gonna mess him up real bad.

Well im 🇺🇸 and it’s not just about where you are from it’s about where you are “at” when it goes down. A winner will win and Noah lost that day. But trust and believe Oblique gonna get ran down on not because he won but how he did it. 😂 Noah needed that though, it’s a competition and you have to stay focused and protect yourself at all times and he got caught slipping. This is no different when get got beat in the 200m by Knighton. After that he hasn’t lost to him since.

Serville was impressive, and I don't believe that about Noah Lyles, and he told everyone that he is that it's a progression, and he is preparing for the US Trials to punch his ticket in Paris!!!! And Noah lost to Coleman too and I noticed that he can be gracious and Noah knows that Serville and others are FIERCE competitors as that race was: Noah said that it was a great race!!! Serville got out the block better than everyone else including both World and European Champions, the great Kenyan champion, Noah's brother, Josephus and other Jamaican sprinters, and that race didn't disappoint the spectators of Jamaica: and I disagree about the spectators of Jamaica are the best: they are well informed, but they have improved in sportsmanship regardless of who won ... but I am biased and we have so many international athletes who are trained well in the United States of America and they're progressing like the high jumpers... and I understand that Serville has Usian Bolt's coach and I expected Jamacians to win in their own house and I was glad that the United States athletes medalled too: not 🚭🚫 many but a couple to give them confidence for the US trials towards the last week of the Olympics Trials!!! Thanks for sharing though!!!!

As track and fields spectators I see we are making the same mistakes as before and not learning. Listen these are the facts: Oblique Seville has not won the previous Olympics,He has not won any of the previous World Championships,He has not win any major competition. He does not perform when it matters the most. The Olympics is weeks away,he needs to be able to peak the right time in order to win. There's a lot sprinters coming for that title and thats a lot of pressure especially when there is no certainty to it. Noah Lyles has not even started running faster times yet,and we know from previous major competition that he can still do better. We cannot say Oblique will do anything major when looking at the facts which is he hasnt performed well at a global event. One good performance in your home country does not mean anything if you are unable to dominate the global stage ,which he hasn't! Oblique Seville is riding off of a wave of Jamaican fans who want him to be the next "Bolt" however there's nothing to indicate to us that we will see that. Bolt last Olympics was 2016 which he ran 9:80 not even his best performace Oblique had to PB 9:82 in order to win beat Noah Lyles who by the way is only get he season for Paris underway.

firstly that was sevilles 100m season opener whereas it was noahs 3rd race. secondly, contrary to what most people believe it was one of lyles quickest starts ever, 6.46 through 60m, meaning there is not as much room for improvement as people are saying. thirdly, u make the point that oblique had to pb to beat noah, when in order to have beaten oblique noah also would have had to have pb'd as seville ran quicker than lyles has ever ran and the fastest time since fred in 2022. fourthly oblique has stated numerous times that in the past couple of seasons he has been dealing with various injuries meaning he misses various parts of the season. This year he said he is healthy at the moment. Finally do u really think the coach of Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Antonio Watson, Warren Weir and Zharnel Hughes will have an issue peaking his athlete at the right time?
@Nqobile-eu6kd
@Nqobile-eu6kd 23 күн бұрын
@@harveywilliams9802 You are correct when you say Noah would have to run faster than his PB of 9.83 in order to beat Seville 9.82 You also correct when you say It is Seville 100m season opener, however this is one race.When it comes to the major global competition Oblique has not performed to the expectation and image in which has been presented to him .2022 ,2023 World Champions 4th .2021 Olympics finished in the semi-finals. Seville by far is one of many athletes who have suffered from injuries in and out of season.The same coach of Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake,Warren Weir and Antonio Watson..trained these very athletes who suffered injury during their seasons and we still saw incredible title winning performances from them, it's not a valid argument to say injuries are the cause when we have seen time and time again Usain Bolt completely injured with the possibility of him being out of the season ,recover and come back for a championship winning performance. And... And you cannot compare Oblique to Noah because when we look at their resumes of performance Noah is the better athlete. He may have lost one race but we have seen him time again recover from the loss like a BEAST, just ask Erriyon Knighton.
@Nqobile-eu6kd
@Nqobile-eu6kd 23 күн бұрын
@@harveywilliams9802 Any true track and field athlete knows there's always room for improvement.Noah has so much to improve from his start ,you're shortsighted if you cannot see that. Firstly a start is considered 10-15m not 60m . He's 60m time is completely irrelevant because the race is won at 100m and 60m is a completely different phase of the race than the start and drive and finish phase .There more room for improvement for Noah in those phases in order for him to run faster. Oblique had an amazing start and drive phase, completely undeniable but doing something once doesn't mean you're headed for championship status it's only a indication that there's more to the athlete's potential.
@harveywilliams9802
@harveywilliams9802 23 күн бұрын
@@Nqobile-eu6kd I understand your point and agree that noah will make significant improvements by the end of the year. However, Seville's issue was physical rather than mental from the fact that his body was never able to run rounds. He is now significantly stronger and has had no injury setbacks this year like in previous years. I am not saying that Seville will win the Olympic ahead of Noah and I am not saying if we look at the past to most it would seem Noah would win again but what I am saying is the hype is perfectly justified as now that seville is healthy all things being equal we can see what he is truly capable of and are already able to see his potential from this opener. Also history shows that in the championships he has been to other than 2022 he has peaked at the championships, just running the times in heats or semis rather than finals. So just as Noah is expected to improve, its fair to expect seville to improve to a point to contend for gold by paris.

2022 when he came 4th he was never expected to medal. 2023 he was injured at significant points in the season which made it harder to run rounds as he didn't have enough fitness. Check Jamaican trials where he looked comfortable first 2 rounds but ran out of gas in the finals and just qualified. Come worlds he was consistent between 9.86 and 9.88 and missed out on the podium by a thousandth so considering where he came from last year you can't call that choking especially as in the final he was only two hundreths of his personal best

The same mistake happened in 2012 with Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt . Blake beat Usain in the 100m and 200m Jamaican trials and even had a cocky celebration at the end of the race. Everyone thought he would do the same when it came to the Olympics. Who won the 2012 100m =Bolt Who won the 2012 200m = Bolt After being beating in the Jamaican trials. Where's Yohan Blake today? Everyone expected him to be Usain Replacement, exactly how Jamaican fans are expecting Oblique to replace Bolt. He has not showed the times necessary to replace him. People sleep on Noah Lyles so often.He is the only athlete who has run 19.32 in the past 2 years which is the fastest time we have seen in YEARS and on top of that he is the only athlete since the "Bolt" era to win gold in the 100m 200m & 4x100m. And he won the previous world championships. ...Who is Oblique to celebrate a win like that, looking over he's shoulder like he really did something...
