Why Olofmeister Can't Retire

As a two-time major winner and a major MVP, olofmeister has accomplished what most players can only dream of.
olof is one of the most beloved Counter-Strike players of all time -- and has been a a crucial part of some iconic plays, and some controversial ones, throughout his career.
Over the past few years though, he has been trying to step away from the game -- but no matter how many times olof leaves, CS can’t seem to let him go.
So, why does everyone get so excited to see olofmeister come back over and over?

As much as he's a legendary player, anyone who's been around since the start of pro CS:GO knows that olof already reached his peak before he joined FaZe. That's why I wished that they kept cromen when olof went "on break" (usually breaks mean that they're contemplating leaving the scene or are getting replaced). A stand-in got them a win and 2 semi-finals in other events while they were in a slump. There was already a huge potential with cromen at that time and they didn't keep him, sadge.

@@mark030531 Well Olof isn't playing the star player role anymore anyway. Current Faze line up has multiple players who can do that, Twistzz, especially Broky. We'll have to wait and see at the major because Faze is best at lan although I doubt they've had much time to prep with this new update.

There is a reason this guy was number 1 some years ago and yes, the competition is now higher and there is no comparison between 2015 olof to 2020 zywoo or 2021 s1mple, but olof's game sense is one of the best if not the best.. He understands timings better than anyone else. His versatility and relevance is amazing. Make him play any role, any situation and he will provide impact. That's his ultimate skill. Being versatile. He supports, he frags but most importantly he is the winning factor of faze.even the smallest ingame adjustments he does every round turn the favours for faze to convert the round. I get that it's esports and the content is digital. But I don't understand how you can use 95% footage gathered by someone else and edit it together and not get attacked for that. I've been hearing for like over a year from Richard Lewis, HLTV, Thoorin, Dexerto, Esports Talk, and even mentions from ESL that they are upset about how you steal their content. The only piece that you guys are actually producing yourselves are the webcam sections of the video. The rest is "borrowed" content with only a "Courtesy: Dexerto" in the bottom left. And the text is made transparent to make it more difficult to see. Even the interviews of players are being taken from the work of other journalists. This method of production is essentially sitting in the gray area of fair use right now. This would be like Fox News deciding that it will no longer send reporters, or conduct interviews, and they just begin mashing together the work of ABC, CNN, and MSNBC. And doing their own commentary over it. And then passing it off as their own. I have a degree in journalism, and I can tell you this does not fly in any other industry.
