OpTic was once one of the most feared teams in all of North America and the World in competitive Apex Legends. But recently Dooplex, Skittlecakes, and Knoqd failed to finish top ten in the ALGS Split 1 leading them to miss out on the Split 1 Playoffs LAN. So what went wrong?

Either play Horizon Seer Valk on edge or play a zone comp with early rotate with Doop on Newcastle, skittle on wattson and Knoqd on valk

Gibby, Valk, Seer or Horizon, Wattson, Valk might be an idea; doop on the defensive legend. Also think they need a coach/analyst

@@AyeJHawk i would also love that, but if you make an NRG video you'd have to mention how NRG lost 4 grandparents (sweet lost 3 and nafen lost a grandpa) as a team collectively during the split, the team got devastated by personal losses and finally picked it back up towards the end. Gildersons revealed this in a recent interview after NRG placed 1st in the oversight playoffs, the fact that they qualified at all after losing so many loved ones is nothing short of passion.

Oh, such a good analysis! Especially loved that statement at the ending of the video: OpTic doesn't need to totally switch comps, dropspots or even parts of their roster (all the people crying for Doop to be replaced frustrate me to no end). They were once the most dominant fighting team, literally 2v3ing other pro-teams together. It's not like they just lost all their skill, they just need to play to their strengths again. Anyways, great job on the video.

You are right, they are actually still great at taking 3v3 fights which is evident in the recent qualifier matches. However, they didn't achieve those 3v3 with the seer and horizon comp but it was a different one. I think it may have been bh+horizon or bh+bang where they killed two teams easily in one of those games. IMO, the team has to find a comp that compliments all of them as rn doop is left out in the dust as he isn't performing great as a seer.

Yes. When they can isolate 3v3 fights they do so well. Get Doop in that anchor role and get back to dominating on the edge Optic!

During this ALGS quals i was super busy and didnt get to watch Optic, sadly i did see a dip in performance when the meta changed and i feel like Doop shouldve went with New Castle or stay with Gibby. Your analysis was really good!

Yeah I think after LAN I want to try and analyze really specific moments. Like maybe a team that is doing poorly has one specific game where they turn it around and make a run. So making a breakdown on what that moment was where they figured it out. Stuff like that
