There is not that much evidence that the Patriots actually used Brady's pay cuts to get better players. Yes, it allowed them to do more while spending to the cap, but they could also have done a lot more if cheap, miserly Bob Kraft was willing to spend more actual money with cap manipulation.

I liked the Raiders beginning in the 1970s. But this may be long term justice. The Oakland Raiders teams during the 1970s were very talented. Al Davis had the right to move his team to Los Angeles, but he should not have. When that lawsuit was won, every other NFL team had to pay Al Davis much money for opposing the Raiders moving to Los Angeles - and this seemed unjust. When Al Davis moved his team back to Oakland, Al Davis should have been made to refund the other NFL owners. Probably every NFL franchise is thrilled to see the Raiders having so much trouble now.
