just bought Ipad 9 after watching your videos, this is my first Ipad rather my first Apple product and I am loving it...I am into heavy gaming and I think this is beast, even Android flagship phones are nowhere close to this, thanks for your recommendation....regarding the big bezels it has, I think it does help while holding the device in landscape mode like while watching some videos or while playing games, I see that an advantage rather than being a disadvantage and I personally don’t want apple to remove that for someone like me who has short hands….and I feel I bought it nice, not going to buy twice ;)

Hi I love your channel as it is provides practical advice. I am looking for an ipad basically for 2 things: 1) Use it for taking notes and marking PDFs; 2) Using Virtual Background on Zoom. As far as i can understand the Ipad 9 gen can do both. Don't need major processing power as already have Macbook Pro with latest Processor. So for all major editing would be using Macbook. Is 9 gen good enough for the above two points listed. Thanks

For drawing the m1 12.9 base model is the best choice (yes you can use laptop and pen display/pen tablet but it's not as compact as ipad pro 12.9).

I just bought my iPad 9 yesterday, and OH MY GOD the difference in performance compared to my old Tab S4! It does every task even heavy gaming with ease and I haven’t experienced any lag! I don’t care about the older looking style because I actually prefer touch ID over face ID.

I tell you face ID is so uncomfortable to use. you have to take up your ipad everytime and swype. with touch id you can lay your ipad flat and just press the fucking home button

Great video. I would say everything you said is true. But, you can also add if you really want all the features of the ipad pro for a cheaper price, pick up a used iPad pro 2020. That's what I was thinking of doing. The price is way cheaper than the 2021 model and it still has more than enough power to do anything you throw at it.

While not on a budget, I still always prefer the basic iPad models. However, if wanting a newer design, I would just pick-up an iPad Air model (smile..smile)

As a copywriter currently working on a MacBook M1 Pro 13” on the small, but sturdy dinner table in my 300 sq. ft. studio apartment, the iPad 12.9” M1 Pro seems to be the best and only second screen option to increase and improve my workflow. I’m not even planning to buy the pen or keyboard: I do the typing on my MacBook and use the iPad in Sidecar for researching and reading while writing. My studio rent is so low, I’m winning every month anyway 😂

I received my iPad 9 2hrs ago. Now commenting from my iPad. I love it. I don not need the pro. I want the Touch ID for unlocking with out removing my mask or squinting in the dark. Also more affordable. Thank you for giving sound advice. I watched your iPad 9 videos since it was released. I have the Apple Pencil too. Buy it nice or buy it twice. I am happy with this buy. I’m just a nurse who needs KZfaq Netflix some games and reading. My 64gb iPhone turned 4 years old but I only used up half of the storage so I also got the 64gb iPad 9

I have been using ipad 9 for 3 4 month. 1. pubg,, u can play smoth and 60fps , bezel ra big so hard to play 6 finger gryo. 2. Camera i never use. 3. Procreate, only problem is amount of layer u can have , i draw in max resolution setting so 7 -8 layers . U cant go more that,, only 😤 problem. Touch is already so smooth , u will not feel difference in drawing in pro or 9. 4. Sound it doesnt matter. 5. screen ,might be difference for color correction, but for normal, not a single difference,. But screen size make huge difference.

I’m usually a laptop kind of guy so I’ve never had an iPad before. I’m heading back to college this year tho so I figure I make an investment in a powerful tablet i can use like a laptop and also use for my digital art hobby. I’m starting out with the base iPad 9 figuring this this will be the last iPad with its traditional design. Almost decided to pick up an older model because I wanted that generic iPad aesthetic, but I better take advantage and utilize the most powerful version so it’ll last me longer.

I have the 2nd gen iPad Pro (512 gb) and it’s awesome. Got it for photo editing power. The only thing I have trouble with is watching videos no matter how short on Instagram. I have to turn it off and restart often to make IG vids work smoothly and not freeze up. Don’t know why that is. No other problem with videos anywhere, especially KZfaq. I’ll never be without an iPad Pro again. Bought the iPad 9 for my daughter for Christmas.

bought ipad pro 2nd gen brandnew before after the insurance expires i exp touch problems when gaming and just regular navigation on homescreen and apps. its even evident while typing comment of youtube.

I ended up buying the ipad 9 after watching your informative vids (thank you) and I have to say, I am a hardcore gamer and initially would have liked to have enough money to buy the pro but after actually playing on the iPad 9, I have to say 1- the ipad9 is really offering some very impressive games and 2- I can’t see myself playing handheld with anything bigger.. Also my last ipad was an air 2 and this feels leagues better! I love it, especially for the price point!

I use the iPhone 13 Pro and I have no issues with the iPad 9 (or mini 6 or air 4) refresh rate. Can I notice it - sure, but it really doesn't matter. Personally, I wouldn't pay this much more for 120Hz (but if you gave it to me, I wouldn't complain).

I used to use an iPad Pro 12.9 in (2018 model) and very recently gave that away to one of my family member and purchased the iPad 9. Personally for me, I do notice the difference between 120hz and 60hz, but it doesn't bother me. I'm now currently using an iPhone 13 (non-pro) and iPad 9th generation and haven't really missed 120hz display. So bottom line, will you notice the difference? Yes. But will it bother you if are consistently switching from 120hz to 60hz? That ultimately depends on you. If you constantly look for the difference, you may find the difference bothersome, but if you are like me that don't really care much about it, you will find 60hz just fine. Hope this helped :)

Yes Apple perfected it. One major thing that sticks out to me would be that the iPad 9th gen has a solid body and never feel like I’m going to bend it or have any give like the fancy iPad Pro or even new air which I hear has really weak chassis.

I’m thinking about buying a iPad Pro. I have a iPad Pro but it’s the very first iPad Pro that came out. It works perfect sometimes the touch doesn’t register but it’s a chance thing. My current iPad is 10.5 inches I was thinking about getting the 11 inch but honking about it it’s only a inch higher. I use my iPad every day for watching things especially KZfaq every day and night. I don’t really want to spend 2k on a iPad I was only thinking about spending $1.200 which is the 11 inch iPad. I currently only earn a little bit of money not much at all that’s why I was thinking about the 11 inch. I’m not too sure but if I was to buy a new iPad I’ll have no choice but to sell my current iPad only because I don’t like to see my money go down too much and I won’t be buying any of the accessories off of apple I’ll buy a case from somewhere cheaper. I do have a Apple Pencil but I don’t use it. What does everyone think I should do?

I have the Air 2 and the iPad 9 - I would ask why you are upgrading. That would help me make a decision. Here's how I look at it. If you need something now, buy now. If you can wait, always wait. @@jeeaspirant4623 I recently bought the iPad 9 despite having Android phones and Windows laptop and desktop. I have no regrets. I use it for note taking, video and music consumption, and gaming. I can't say anything about the S6 though as I have never owned an Android tablet. I can only recommend the iPad9, the battery lasts all day (about 9-10 hrs of screen-on time the way I use it) and the A13 chip is powerful enough to provide smooth gaming experience. The major negatives are the camera (crap) and the looks (looks dated with the huge bezels) If you like me do not care about those negatives then you will be happy with it. I meant the back camera is crap. the front one you use to video call is actually good. Correction added.

This comment here is for digital artists only If you plan on choosing between the IPad 9th Gen and the pro, I’ll tell you my experience as I bought both of them to test them out. In short, if you are a beginner artist, then the iPad 9th Gen is more than enough to help you get started and master the basics. But if you’re like me who’s aiming to be a Pro Artist, then I highly advise you get the IPad Pro. And the reasons are because some apps don’t run as smoothly and crash often if your drawing on a canvas with too many layers on the 9th Gen, but with the Pro, it can tackle all those issues with no problem as it’s the best possible tablet on the market that you can buy. While the 9th Gen is good an all, it’s lack of ram, Smaller screen size, and lack of Apple Pencil 2 support, really just gives a pro artist a more cheap and unpleasant experience. Not to say the 9th Gen is bad, but you get the point. I promise you the Pro is worth every penny and you won’t be disappointed. That’s all, hope this helps! 👋

I think that apple wants to just speckboost the ipad 9 for a while cause if they do the "Air treatment" then it will defeat the purpose of the iPad air. I think they mean for it to be the budget ipad. and if you want better but still cheap, then the ipad air is for you.

I agree 100 percent. Being old school and still using wired headphones with light tablet needs (i.e. reading, web sites, streaming, ,etc.), it is always a version of the basic iPad model's for me (smile...smile).

For the average iPad user that just likes to browse videos, download apps (Educational, Entertainment, Even work...), take pics, browse the web the iPad 9 should be just fine. Now if you are an artist, work with heavy applications, need the pencil !, heavy photos editing, you might want to get the iPad pro.

I have an iPad Air 4 that I recently bought…..I’m a design student in Sem 2 and I swear that the Air 4 is the best investment I’ve ever made…..no complaints whatsoever! Very smooth and portable

I would have invested in a Pro (2020 or 2021), the Air 4 is not as good of an investment...

@@cameronbosch1213 but honestly you dint need all that power, as a student expenses are huge and Air 4 is just the younger brother if the Pro....I've never had any issues with it in day to day use

I use my wireless headphones 🎧 for my iPad Pro M1 12.9 is better for me because I don’t like wire headphones and I don’t like headphone jack at all I’m so happy that my iPad Pro doesn’t have headphone jack

Just as a reminder - you can still use wireless headphones with the iPad 9. I only use a wired headset for gaming.

It has a really big difference in gaming u play almost every heavy game with maximum graphics on M1 iPad let’s take Pubg as an example in which 90 fps(m1) way better than 60 fps really makes a differnce and even the display is a lot more satisfying in the m1 and looks a lot faster export import speed I personally noticed a lot of differnece ( u r making it look easy without any differnece which is not at all the reality, come on man people are not dumb to buy the M1 with almost triple the money if it doesn’t have noticeable difference🙂)

Hello! I’ve been following your videos for a year now, and have to say it’s pretty obvious you use the same background song every single video! Is there a specific reason you do this? I find for me, it actually is a negative experience. I (and I think we all to a lesser extent) associate music with what we learned that moment we heard it. Because your videos all have the same background track, I find the videos become blurred together. Stale, even. Just some thoughts! Love what you do! Would love and celebrate if you changed your background track variety every once in a while. ☺️

I would never use an ipad to cut videos or to make music. Even the ipad version of final cut and logic the workflow is still shit. I would rather buy a stronger macbook with more ram or storage than paying the extra money to buy a bigger ipad pro. iPad 9 for university to annotate pdf files and to take some notes. And for the rest of the day I only use the iPad as a second monitor for my macbook with side car. I guess I am getting to old to understand how people can use iPads as laptop replacement.

Watching the iPad 9 i recently bought. No regrets so far. I only use it for casual browsing and watch online courses. I am a software engineer. My tablet is to basic browsing, watch courses and read e books If I wanna get productive I have my MacBook pros and Mac mini for heavy workload. To buy the iPad Pro I’d much rather buy a laptop, it has a bad quality/price

I suppose it depends on how exactly you mean that. It is more versatile, but isn't at the level MacOS is.
