As a writer for over twenty years, a widow who lost her husband unexpectedly at 29 years old, and a fan of Justin Bieber's music, I will say this: A song/poem is usually written/performed with one idea in mind, and the writer/artist will convey this idea through the words/lyrics. What makes a *great* song/poem/written word is when the writer/performer can convey multiple meanings through that writing. It's what includes other people, and it's how people relate to *any* writing/song. In other words, great songs/writings take on multiple meanings to different people. "Ghost" is clearly written from the viewpoint of someone who's lost a spouse/partner to death. The lyrics make that clear in different parts of the song. And as a widow myself, I 100% relate to those lyrics. But my situation is rare... breakups are not. So because the lyrics are left open-ended, and can be interpreted in different ways, *most* people can relate to *most* of the song, because they connect the open-ended lyrics to their broken relationships. He wouldn't be a global superstar if his lyrics didn't resonate with *most* people. However, the music video (and select lyrics in the song) express the true, or organic, meaning of the song, which is losing a loved one to death. It's not rocket science. I really think the only reason this is an issue is because people will believe what they *want* to believe. That's why the "fans" are linking random things together. At the end of the day though, Justin himself has made it very clear what the song is about, how he feels about his *wife* , and where he stands in general with this entire situation. People need to accept that, enjoy the music, and move on. It's their lives, let them live them!

I just hope Hailey is strong enough the handle all of the Jelena Bullshit. To me, Hailey is such a big part of Justin‘s recovery. She‘s had such a good impact on him and I‘m sure he wouldn‘t have got his shit together if it wasn‘t for her sake. I geniuenly hope Hailey will stay with him forever.

I agree with some of what you are saying but no one knows whats in someones heart or how they process past love or present love. As you have said justin and selena were in a young love probably a first love which is very special. Songs can express your feeling in the past and present. I know as a writer you tend to express things that are in the heart yet also keeping it private. So it really does not matter what the outside world thinks because he actually writing it to himself. If the inspiration comes from their experience it is a beautiful thing. It shows that what people describe as toxic may not be the case. Break ups with young people are normal I have been there but that does not define your relationship it more often defines your maturity.( When your older it is a different story). personally I am torn over this whole drama. I think that selena and justin loved each other deeply but at the same time its ike they hated eachother too. they got back together 3 times at least pubically that I know of and all 3 times it ended because of trust.
