Let's talk about the circumstances leading up to John D's departure from Arcade 1up, and what we think happened with his employment at Arcade 1up.

Very objective instead of attack mode. Great show Rex. AkumRev had an amazing interview with Eugene Jarvis last year that you should check out. Was happy he asked questions from the chat to him. Sad that it takes mistreatment of the hand that feeds you (on top of lack of attention to details and quality) to get to this point but as I said in the chat, karma's very real. Been on both sides of it personally as well. Live and learn.

Thanks wolf. Rev a really good guest. Have to respect his ability to see things openly and objectively and be able to ask the right questions and get the right answers. Gives credit where it’s due and holds people accountable when mistakes are made.

Curiosity got better if me and watched. Not the tone I was expecting. Good show. Loved hearing Revs take. The issues definitely added up for John. But, it is hard to argue with what he was able to obtain for 1up. Sales and quality weren't on him. Maybe too expensive costs for licenses, but licenses that nobody else could get. A lot of 1ups issues are in the quality/software side. Granted, maybe higher prices became a result of obtaining the more elite licenses. Either way, will be somewhat interesting to see what happens.

Well whatever happens I strongly suggest Arcade1up hires back UAG to have him take over John D's role. This guy would be a great representative spokesperson for 1up. # 1 he's trustworthy, he speaks for the people. I mean till this day he still says he didn't rigged the contest and we should believe him because what he did was so legit. # 2 he has his finger on the pulse, he knows what will sell. Look at his NFL Blitz review the guy said it was a BANGER! It's built like a PC. Look at his Simpsons review, the guy knows QC, he didn't even notice the bad hand control set up on his review, he was the only one that didn't. Also in the future release he predicts WWE WrestleFest is another guaranteed BANGER! Go ahead 1up do this! Pay for all the development fees on building a new game with half the roster, so fans can buy this cab. Then after that consumers can replace all the artwork with buying the original artwork via a third party, buy a new marquee and then put a Pi in it with the original rom. But be sure to do it with the Riser cab first, then 3 months later the Deluxe version, then next year the XL. Milk this all the way to the bank baby! These fools fall for it every time. With UAG in charge he will make sure this happens. This is why you should hire UAG for John D's role the guys a great salesman, you can get him for cheap! He can talk to those Japanese salesmen... he'll do under the table deals,..you know hush hush money. I mean look at what he got a NFL Blitz cabinet for? If he can do that, imagine what he can get for a Daytona USA. Common Arcade1up HIRE BACK UAG!

48 Min. I am a HUGE MvC2 fan and a Huge Max fan. It was very weird to me that Max didn't make a big deal of the cabinet and didn't talk about it a lot. He is SUCH a huge fan of the versus games and I trust him immensely when he stands by a product or game or arcade stick or service etc. Now, looking back, I understand why he couldn't stand by the machine

BINGO. He knew it was crap. They tried to buy his loyalty. It didn’t work. And come to find out later , at Evo , EVERYONE knew it wasn’t running correctly (bee kong, moat, otg , all the shills ) and 1up asked them to not talk about it. To hide the fact it wasn’t ready.

@@Ratigast99 you have to set the bell notification for my channel and it should give you a 30 minute advance notice. I don’t have a set schedule where I stream unlike the other guys in the community who will stop life to make sure they go live at their scheduled time. Every few weeks when something interesting comes up we go live.

Great show. I don’t know John personally but after what he did to Glen I was done with him. Being called “immature gatekeepers” via his twitter for criticizing a cab was just another nail in the coffin that was already buried.

Have they stopped lying and deceiving customers about their products? For example , these games will have online play , run smoothly , we only have limited quantities and lie abkut that for preorders , or put things on sale and then not fulfilled orders and then lie to customers and say they are out of stock only 2 weeks later to sell more at full price , have their quality issues stopped and are they making higher quality products with no lag, emulation errors , monitors issues, sound issues. If that has all stopped , then yes my beef with 1up is over. If no, then no. You answer that question. But their latest release , Fast and furious was full of lies and glitches ….so you tell me.

Arcade1up needs to fire a lot of people. They've been putting out too many weird products that nobody wants (giant pacman joysticks and the kiddie cabs for example) and not enough cabs people do want. Their bread and butter is just repackaging the few titles that they have over and over and over and over. If New Wave Toys can get a bunch of new retro classic titles and keep'em coming, why can't Arcade1up?

I like the Rexershow but inviting the Akuma Rev guy was such a bad idea for a John D bashing session. He contradicted/disagreed with many of the statements Rexer mentioned (Big Blue, Blitz, MvC2, Casinocade, and so on). I used to watch Rev a little but I immediately caught on the hissy fits, psychological issues and whatnot and decided to not watch him anymore. I hope he surrounds himself with good people outside the internet. I wish him the best. Anyway, nice stream but it's a good example of how important we should do our homework before inviting anyone on a stream.

We know Akuma isn’t a John D basher. The stream wasn’t solely to just bash John D. Sometimes there has to be a different perspective. Even news shows bring on people who have different POV . He agreed with big blue. He said they projected 25,000 sales and it wasn’t even close.

Blitz cab is great. I never cared about late hits. Back in the day I found them annoying cause I just wanted to get to next play. Also didn't care about online. The big f up was if you recall the update cost me all my saves. That cab is the best they coulda done imo. I have so many more problems with A1UP. Blitz ain't it. If John was just licensing I'd say he did a good job. Except where was Sega and Konami?But as a person he never came across good. Snarky jerk mostly. But I guess we'll see what happens with A1UP now. I'm very curious. Will their leaders make them all out of plastic. Haha. $800!

I could have been ok without late hits. But online not working right , missinf audio, missing players , no late hits, wrong art work, poor marquee , it just wasn’t going to cut it imo. But if you can do without online play, when it went on sale, it was a steal.

@therexershow yeah I just can't blame A1UP in that case. NFL has been pushing the illusion of safety for years. Definitely can for online and sideart. I got the right artwork but Bears instead of those disgusting Packers from Arcade Graphix. But hell if these things were 299 or 399 all the crap they refused to address or truly quality check wouldn't be so damning. It all started to be unacceptable when they decided to try and price gouge like they were Exxon. Really hope someone else steps into the market. Looks like NWT won't. 😔

Good stream Rexer & Kev. Although he fared well on the show, most times Rev rubs people the wrong way. He can be super loud, abrasive, forceful and obnoxious for his own good. But you can tell the guy is smart and can speak from knowledge. And anyone who can make ClownshowManboy zip it can't be all bad. As for John D, I think he let the paltry KZfaq fame get to his head and he turned into a real pompous pos. You knew at some point it would turn around and come back to bite him.

Dylan I have read a few posts by you about me and I appreciate the clear and honest take on me. I would like to make sure people know, just in case it wasn’t self evident already, AkumaRev is a character I played on my stream. It is a small facet of my inner personality from my youth hyper tuned and turned up to volume of 100. The goal was the create a character that could transcend the idea of the home arcade community/A1u community,. That could be used to engage in any gaming space or any cultural conversation. Everything you say about rude, loud, brash etc…all calculated decisions to portrait that personality in that light. In short, it worked…you were provoked by what I did. Good or bad it illicit a reaction and drove engagement. It is also the reason why I use my name whenever I am on a steam now. Rev is there for a reason, to call matches…Nick is the man who drives that character. I appreciate that you are open minded and honest on your feelings, it is a good yard marker for me to reflect if I did what I set out to do with the character. Just know, if what I said offended you or gave you a bad taste, is was not meant to be serious,it was meant to be Kayfabe. Also thanks Rex

Truth be told, most of what I had been exposed to was the "character" hype man you were doing, but I do think there have been times where some of that has seeped into your real life persona as well. But I guess the proof is in the pudding, and what you have said here and in Twisted Chris's streams I do align with for the most part, we're fighting the same battle on the same side. I detest UAG/Ur Average Cheater. I detest TryHard /ClownshowManboy /Zohar with a passion. I detest dishonest, two faced, butt kissing hypocrites, and especially in a community this small, they need to be held accountable and weeded out. Thank you for elaborating and the reply. Cheers 💪😎👍

Really? Talking about other people with facts is “attacking someone”. Saying John D lied (which he did ) and talking about his lies and deception …is attacking him ? John D is a public celebrity and criticism is different then attacking . But you wouldn’t know the difference. I’m guessing proving that someone rigged a contest is “attacking “ them too ? Speaking facts and shredding the truth is much much different then writing horrible songs about people , doxing people , and doing 100 percent hate videos with hate speech. But I guess you wouldn’t k ow the difference. The hate channels that promote people who do 100 percent hate videos are gone , and nobody misses them except you. Interesting.
