Steve and Paul really did steal Bowie’s equipment from his last performance as Ziggy Stardust (there’s a live recording of that concert, which was my introduction to Bowie, though I didn’t know the Sex Pistols connection at the time). Whether a car chase ensued, like in the show, I don’t know.

If you don't have the time or interest to watch a real doc the quick version here is pretty comprehensive and accurate and better than watching Disney Sidney.

Steve's step dad was a being a bit more than mean to him, he was sexually abusing him, which maybe wasn't made that clear in the show. Overall I enjoyed the show, lots of attention to detail and it got most of the story beats right and it nailed the ending "we'll always have Huddersfield".

I thought the acting was pretty good. The cast looked pretty cool

Not seen it not sure I care , when you leave John out the integrity and interest goes out of it Steve and Paul never really had it in that way, will see it at some point , might enjoy bits but over all looks crap to be honesty.

The Chrissy Hinde part was pretty sappy. "Your special, your gonna do it baby, you got talent your gonna make it one day." and then she's Chrissy Hinde from the Pretenders. I didn't realise it was Chrissy until they deliberately dropped her name at the end and I wondered if she really had that much interaction with the band. There was a lot of 'wise comments' about the future that seemed to be used as foreshadowing which is weird in a biopic. "Ill be dead before I'm 21" says Syd... I did really enjoy it but I wasn't sure how truthful it was and it felt quite twee at times. Def worth a watch though.

Yeah man if it wasn't clear to you that steve was being abused physically and sexually then I'm happy you didnt have to go through that cause as some one who has gone through it, it was very noticeable to me through out the show that legitimately made my skin crawl and made me uncomfortable. I really enjoyed the series it was such a different biopic then what have been getting which are good but this was a different kinda good and as a musician and filmmaker I believe that did a great job depicting the underground level to stardom fame pretty well for the time it took place.

I personally really didn't enjoy any of the scenes between Steve and Chrissy, to the point where I skipped one or two, it just always felt like a real drop in pace, which in a biopic about punk, was really jarring. Those scenes always seemed to go on for a bit too long as well. It's just my own personal preference, but I kinda wanted a constant stream of chaos and mayhem. My highlight was Rotten's entrance scene at the end of (I think) episode 2, I got literal chills

I just finished the series last night and I enjoyed the entire story. Yes they built up a lot to make it dramatic for television but in a whole I did like what they showed. My only issue is it seemed a bit rushed. Wish they did a few more episodes to stretch it out a little longer. I’m new to your channel and this episode is great. Keep up the good work.

You actually look more like Johnny Rotten than who they casted.

I wonder why Johnny Rotten's actor looks like a starved Holocaust survivor who acts like someone trying to look Hollywood insane.

In some ways this was a good bio-pic, but a lot of it was made up. Steve Jones stealing Bowie's musical equipment is true, but is probably over overdramatized in the show. In the end, this ends up with the trash of all the other Sex Pistols films. The Pistols deserve a more factual and properly dramatized version of their life in the video/film media.

10/10 for this verbal run through. 0/10 for the actual show.

She's a huge Sex Pistols fan, and read all the biographies on em. So, after I watch it for myself, I 'm definitely gonna give her a heads up!👍🤘
