Pony Life simply exists for those curious about how our beloved characters from FIM would act after a lobotomy.

I'm not going to lie, I completely forgot this Pony Life Reboot existed.

Some characters just lose their spark if a particular actor isn't portraying them. And while Peter New is doing his best, he really can't replace John 😟

PL Discord may not have been the greatest version of Discord, but even so i for one think Peter New's performance of the character was done pretty good...i mean sure Peter wasn't the best Discord, but at least he tried.

"You're into really big ponies, you should probably seek professional help." It's too late for them. Far too late.

Just like with Teen Titans Go, Pony Life is trying too hard to stay relevant for a wider audience and failing miserably.

Discord was my 2nd favorite FiM character, seeing him in Pony Life hurts so much

the title should've been "Why Pony Life in general STILL Sucks" seriously, i tried to watch the rest of S1, and i still couldn't do it. so sitting through both seasons would be like torture to me

I applaud to Peter, he tried but it just doesn't feel like Discord anymore, he was downgraded to Pinkie level in PL. knowing his history as a villain, seeing him as a good guy later has this touch to it that you know something's wrong but you've seen clear proof that he's a good guy. in pony life, he just shows up- just like that, and I can't even remember what happened in that episode. I even forgot the series existed Overall, the new discord is ok but will never be as good as De Lancie's performance, and will never have as good writing. As always, am always looking forward to what you and the team will offer next

I gave pony life a fair shake, I watched about maybe ten episodes before I decided it wasn't really my cup of tea. I hope the target audience likes it, but I would rather move on to a new gen and new ponies than cling to infantalized versions of the ones I liked.

Personally, I gave up on My Little Pony: Pony Life. I have watched the ten first episodes before I dropped it. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is one of the best animated series I have ever seen in my life, I love it so much! It’s clever, funny, cute, hilarious, but also very touching and entertaining. But for Pony Life, I don’t like it because I think it’s too hysterical, boring and annoying. The last episode I have seen was the one with the first appearance of Discord. But our favorite god of chaos isn’t the same anymore without the voice of the wonderful John De Lancie. And you’re right I love Kim Possible a lot, he hasn’t the same personality than in the original show.

I didn’t grow up with the old space jam because I wasn’t born in the 1990s, and the only thing I remember about it is falling asleep on it when I was younger. But anyways it’s stupid and it’s silly just like the second one, but I think the new one is more entertaining and funnier then the first. The first just has a better sound track. All that aside I enjoyed the video.

Sooo by my brief research the "Pony Life" saga seems to be one of character infantilization for a much younger (and less sophisticated) audience. That's how it seems, anyway. This route is a time honored one as seen in: Muppet Babies Tom and Jerry Kids Show Baby Looney Tunes Flintstone Kids ETC. ETC. I mean, by Gen 4 hadn't the ponies already garnered an almost unbearable level of sheer cuteness already?

I think PL discord is a horrible disgrace to his original character, but as for his new actor he is alright.

In PL Discord's defense, he actually gave the wishes back, even after sabotaging the party. And I'm really looking forward to G5 myself. Even with the timeskip, there's still a lot of possibilities there.

One thing I would like to point out. Pony Life does not need Discord. Discord is a being of chaos yes? But the world is just as chaotic as he is...unless... Discord made this world. I actually enjoy the PL designs but yeah. The show was too much. I work in retail and whenever kids are watching videos in the store, I only hear noises and maybe a few words. My generation had great shows but now they're lost to time and budget.

I thought Pony Life was to MLP:FiM as Teen Titans GO! is to Teen Titans. Just using the same basic characters but making them "wacky" with no linear plot. Thus they can keep the trade makes and copyrights for the universe but put in 1/10th the effort. Also, the thought of "It is kids so it can be garbage just as long as it is short so they won't notice or get bored" mentality. So it boils down to if we have to suffer Teen Titans GO!, then I guess you all have to suffer Pony Life, as they are more or less born of the same cloth. Also, I thought the New Netflix movie took place in the 80's My Little Pony universe, which is a different universe from MLP:FiM. This is why you see MLP:FiM toys on the little girl's shelf in the trailer. Like MLP:FiM was a TV show or something in that universe? That makes much more sense than to put it after MLP:FiM since aren't alicorns basically immortal? Which means once Twilight became an alicorn she would basically live forever? Or am I missing something? Lastly, Pony Life doesn't have the Weird Al character in it yet that I know of, so how good could it really be?

I watched the first 3 eps of PL. The writing is so shallow. And the backgrounds look like they were drawn by a child. G5 is looking promising!

thank you for vilifying my choice to not watch pony life. I did try thought. made it about 5 minutes in to the first episode. had to leave and bleach my eyes, ears, everything got bleached. just in case something came in contact with pony life

The only thing they did good, was making it more clear about fluttercord being canon. Hearts around fluttershy when discord saved her in discord's peak, and hearts around fluttershy in the crafted tapestry thing at 2:35 But the new voice and designs just don't fit.. Really hoping if they have these characters return in the next show... They manage to retain the old voices and expand on the stories.

I just had a creepy/scary thought about G5's Pegasus Ponies, since (not so spoilery spoiler) magic in Equestria "Just poof, disappeared!" In G5, what happened to the Pegasus that was up in the air, flying about when this happened since Pegasus need magic to really fly..? ...Oh, oh-no..! (Also, incidentally, imagine if randomly original FIM Discord suddenly popped up in G5 somehow, simply due to his popularity in G4..? actually I just thought up an idea for a possible storyline for this sort of a bit of a three-way crossover with G5, Pony Life, with its version of Discord briefly appearing & FIM with the original Discord... but it's a bit of a sad mystery tale)
