President Teddy Roosevelt said once, "Human nature is the most important subject to understand - if you want to be a leader.“ In this fascinating talk discover how neuroscience and the nature of your parents’ relationship with you in early childhood shapes the way you interact with the world, at work and in life. Learn how psychology can help you become a better leader in building a high-performance team and positively transform those around you. Multi-cultural and a FT500 executive, Shirley Liu is a passionate advocate for psychology, organizational behaviour and mentoring in business. In addition to her corporate role, Shirley devotes significant time as a public speaker advocating the importance of Authentic Leadership, Compassionate Profitability in the business world and Conscientious Mentoring. Film credit: Mother and Child Engaging (2012), Tiffany Shlain & Let It Ripple Film Studio. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Good, but too simplistic. I had a troubled relationship with my family - very cold, and a diabolically manipulative dad- but I’m very personable and supportive of others such as coworkers or customers.
