All Grade B officers reach to CGM level. 7-10 years Grade C 5 years Grade D 5 years Grade E 5 years Grade F So after 22-25 years all will become CGM… Even if you join at 30, at the max you will become CGM at 55.

I think promotion must not be time bound, rather it must be based upon the marks received in written exams and promotional interview. This helps in mostly getting right person for the higher posts.

Yes sir, RBI salary half bhi kar dega to bhi bohot log prepare karenge, govt job preparation ek addiction jaisa hai. Pura barbaad hoke ke maante hai kuch log. I may get a chance to write the exam in 2024 if notification is released in June considering my age criteria. But I have moved my interest towards programming, data science and statistics. 2.5 yrs prepared for RBI, only to realise that it has no monetary value in the market. Its better to invest time in skills that actually make you employable rather than slogging hours in reading useless current affairs, facts, reports, indices etc which lose its relevance if not qualified for the exam, and the worst part is everytime you start from zero. Instead develop industry oriented skills and cash in the 5 trillion dollar growth engine of the country. Thank you very much sir for enlightening students from all perspectives. I followed your advise of not preparing for govt exams for more than 3 yrs.

Still nothing changes for me. RBI is my first choice and it is just a matter of time when I get there. Excited for 2024 exam✌

Preparing for Govt exams is good, but it is a non ending loop where most of the people just ends up getting trapped and losing their way and confidence. I think preparation for exams is good only until you are enjoying the process and once you start feeling the pain in it, I think no matter even if you qualify you wont be satisfied. Even I prepared for 1.5 years, missed by few marks in RBI and NABARD. Then, I switched to IT with just 3 months of skills enhancement and now I am getting salary what SEBI or NABARD officers get, and that too working remotely from my home.

Its a gud news many candidates will leave it which means less competition its an opportunity for those who have do or die situation... nd ill definitely going to make it happen.

Although i'm not preparing for Gr B but for an aspirant he/she cannot change the Promotion Schemas as its same for all. So should focus only on preparations

RBI Grade B is already better than PSB Chief Manager, so, designation hardly matters when you think about it. All officers of PSBs up to scale 4 would jump on the opportunity to become a Grade B officer.

Sir you once mentioned about officer getting assignment in international bank , same theme ppl always leave for better opportunities, stagnation comes with less job satisfaction.

As a po one gets around 10-12 LPA with hectic workload and pressure. In RBI Grade B one is getting 25-30 LPA salary with great work life balance and peace of mind. It is a no brainer if someone is confused about whether to start preparation or not😂.
