When most of you think of Rick Ware Racing you’re rightfully going to think of the many I needed crashes by Cody Ware. What many May fail to see is that they have slowly been making moves behind the scenes and in front of the cameras to make their team a respectable organization in NASCAR. So today we are going to look at the shockingly bright outlook of Rick Ware Racing in 2024. This is why Rick Ware Racing is really interesting in 2024!

That would be incredible. Here I’ll go have an AI create a short story where that happens. One second…. “In the heart of a sun-drenched Sunday, the roar of engines reverberated through the grandstands as fans eagerly anticipated a race that would etch its mark in NASCAR history. J.J. Yeley, a seasoned driver with dreams of victory, found himself at the wheel of the No. 52 Rick Ware Racing (RWR) machine. Rick, the determined owner of the team, had poured years of passion into the sport, yearning for that elusive first Cup Series win. The day began with hope in the air as the green flag unfurled, signaling the start of a race that would prove unforgettable. As laps unfolded, Yeley skillfully navigated the high banks, making strategic moves that showcased his prowess on the track. The competition intensified, and with each turn, the dream of victory seemed within grasp. The No. 52 car, adorned with RWR colors, became a symbol of tenacity and ambition. In the final laps, J.J. Yeley found himself leading the pack. The crowd erupted in cheers as he crossed the finish line, securing his first-ever NASCAR Cup Series win. Simultaneously, Rick Ware, watching from the pit box, couldn't contain his emotions. Tears of joy welled in his eyes as he witnessed his team's monumental achievement. The victory lane celebration was nothing short of legendary. Yeley, draped in the checkered flag, stood beside Rick Ware, the camaraderie between driver and owner radiating. The RWR crew, a tight-knit family, joined the celebration, their cheers echoing through the racetrack. Amid the confetti and cheers, Rick Ware reflected on the journey that led to this historic moment. It was a triumph not just for J.J. Yeley but for a team that had persevered, faced challenges, and, against all odds, emerged victorious. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the racetrack, the story of J.J. Yeley's first win and Rick Ware's inaugural Cup Series triumph entered the annals of NASCAR folklore, a tale of passion, resilience, and the sweet taste of victory.”

Since Haley signed, I've been saying that they're the most promising team to hit that tier just below teams like Gibbs and Hendrick that the Trackhouse guys sit in. Cody just cannot come back, he was legitimately holding back any chance for that 51 team to get better. If they could keep Yeley for a season to help guide Haley, and the teams, they could see their first wins here in just 2 or 3 seasons

Ryan Newman, yeley, cole custer . Jenson button. They brought experience and bringing a car home in a way Cody can’t. Sure they didn’t light up the finishes. But bringing in haley and personnel behind the scenes has me thinking- Haley could give them a real shot at grabbing legitimate top ten runs AND maybe be a top 20 threat. On a weekly basis. I won’t be surprised if they have yeley in the other car full time. Or have newman and yeley and button share it but use the 3rd car for the full season slate for yeley. Cody ware can’t be in the cars at all. If he is, rwr is doomed.

Honestly, I think most people don't realize how much RWR is actually improving. They've actually had races over the past couple years where they could run top 25-20 on pure speed, but unfortunately, some of those results got lost because of driver error, or mechanical failures. Probably the biggest examples were Loudon, where Cole Custer was poised for a top 20, before he choked and slammed the wall in 3-4, and at the Charlotte Roval, both cars were running near, or in the top 20 for a lot of the day, until Lally had a steering issue, and Todd Gilliland hit the tire barriers with 3 to go running about 15th. Hell, Yeley qualified 3rd at Bristol Dirt this year, and in last year's Clash, Ryan Preece WON his Last Chance Qualifier race (Granted the original winner was DQ'd, but a win's a win), ahead of a Hendrick car, a Gibbs car, both 23XI cars, and a Penske car. They clearly have shown they don't want to be some back of the pack team anymore, and that shows with the team alliance with RFK and the star drivers they've been hiring, and it has made a very noticeable difference in speed. I genuinely think that with how much stronger their alliance with RFK seems to be heading in to 2024, and the fact that, in my opinion, Spire is biting off more than they can chew, they might actually stop being the joke team of the field.
@Denverbroncos87

Remember. Nascar told rwr - 15 and 51. Spire 77. Live fast 78. Perform or lose charters. Rwr brought in personnel behind the scenes, brought in better shop guys, hired custer, button, newman. Then signed Haley . Spire? They didn’t change anything for Ty Dillon. He sucked. Now Hocevar and Zane smith I think are doomed. Live fast sold their charter to spire. I honestly think spire will lose a charter because sure the 7 for lajoie is decent. The 77 isn’t. Now with a 3rd car? The spire team even bought kbm truck teams. Throwing money but not hiring anyone to improve the equipment. Live fast will probably just be a daytona, talladega, road course team. Nothing more. Haley will be a top 30 guy in points. I honestly can see him be top 25. If I had to predict his highest potential point finish I can see, 23rd His worst I can see 26th And what is good is rwr is bringing in personnel with a good background and liked in the garage. Rick ware is not bringing in people with a bad reputation or history of arguing. Hell, they signed a few crew guys to make their pit stops faster. I’m very impressed with their off season moves. Spire and live fast drop the anchor while rwr is going for gold in the back of the pack with those teams having bronze

@@Denverbroncos87I’m glad someone else said this. I think spire is going to take a step back next year. They’ve expanded SO much and SO fast. I’m worried they have expanded too quickly and will be running in the back due to speed. I think Zane Smith is overhyped and won’t do anything next year and hocevar and Lajoie will have their moments but not live up this this year. I’m betting an RWR car will finish ahead in points of at least 1 spire car next year.
@Denverbroncos87
@Denverbroncos87 7 ай бұрын
@@Pigeongamer_ exactly. I see the same. Haley will to me finish better in points than Zane smith and Hocevar. Spire doing a driver change of Dillon to Hocevar maybe improving the 77 average finish by maybe a spot or 2 but they didn’t bring in anyone to improve pit stops, or some guys for the shop or anyone. Buying kbm truck organization and the shop only means they made purchases. Of the shop, team, equipment. Not employees. Lajoie will be the best spire car. But barely beats Haley in points. My prediction. Lajoie will finish 1 spot better than Haley. I thought McLeod having Harvick and other cup guys drive his xfinity equipment at road courses would help him improve his organization. It didn’t. Harvick said he gave advice to kyle Busch who didn’t listen. Harvick mentioned last season that he gave McLeod advice but McLeod wants to do it his own way and won’t take any advice. I get it, he wants to get there on his own, but Harvick as an owner was very impressive in truck and xfinity. McLeod to ignore the advice, I am not surprised he sold the charter. Maybe he figured spire will lose a charter soon and try to regain it? Shr is starting to drop too. Honestly. Trackhouse, 23xl, and Rfk want to expand on teams. I say either make the field size be 43 again or give more charters, plus make the field size bigger. That’s my idea for that.
@Pigeongamer_
@Pigeongamer_ 7 ай бұрын
@@Denverbroncos87 I agree. I think SHR will rebound next season. Maybe 2-3 wins as an organization but I think spire might end up selling their charter back at some point. They’re just expanding too fast. It can’t be good for them. And to your other point I think Lajoie will also beat Haley but I’d say maybe 2-3 spots instead. He’s been improving a lot and we have to remember Haley will still be in RWR equipment and Lajoie is going to be getting the best spire has to offer

As an Indycar fan in addition to NASCAR, the first thing I think of when it comes to Rick Ware Racing is actually their Indycar team not their NASCAR team. Unlike their NASCAR team, there is no potential with the Indycar team for 2024 as last year was a massive struggle with rookie Sting Ray Robb as the highest finish was 12th at the season finale at Laguna Seca. I expect them to be a back marker team again this season mainly because they are getting the lower tier engines from Honda & there will be major reliability issues as a result. It will be a victory for them if they are able to just finish out the season in Indycar given how much investment is being put into the NASCAR team & being able to finish the Indy 500.

RWR historic problems were two-fold. 1) Running 3 to 4 Cars rather than consolidating resources into 2; and 2) wasting valuable limited resources on Cody Ware rather than a JJ Yaley-type who can give real feedback on where the organization needs to improve. If they commit to 2 cars and maybe a 3rd with a rotation of part time veterans, I feel like there’s a real chance for this to be a fringe top 20 team within 3 years who can possibly steal a playoff spot with a freak win if things fall their way

Let me get this straight a team owner pays millions to nascrap for a charter and nascar van take that charter away at anytime? Why would any team owner even consider being held hostage this way . If nascrap revokes the charter do they reimburse the millions paid into the charter?

Nascar could've taken the 15 Charter because of its poor preformance the past 3 years, but didnt. Nascar basically gave Rick Ware Racing one last chance to improve or they're losing a charter.

Ever since cody got arrested everytime i played nascar rivals or nascar heat I'd wreck him regardless 😂 but now that all charges against him have been dropped and nascar reinstated him I can't be mad at the guy anymore. He mantained his innocence and proved alot of us wrong. But he's the equivalent to Austin dillon. He only had a ride in the cup series because his dad or grandpa owned the team😂

Yes and no. He admitted he put his hands on her. She admitted she put her hands on him. In court, they couldn’t stop yelling at each other. Even when the judge tried numerous times to get order in the courtroom. I would have been after 3 minutes… i give the judge credit for having patience to deal with it all for countless hours… Cody and his ex dropped everything because they literally took multiple steps backwards in court. So…. He only got reinstated because all the charges got dropped to himself and to her… He hasn’t proved to me he’s a good person. A good person doesn’t put his hands on a woman, and then in court, can’t shut up when the judge tries to get a word in..

For me, RWR is the pure definition of "tanking" in NASCAR, given the organization's on-track performance. It's as if their cars are there to be "moving chicanes", just like the start-and-park teams back then. With that being said, 2024 will indeed be an interesting year for RWR, since they're bringing in Justin Haley. JJ Yeley, like you said, had baby-step improvements and will most likely do the same, if not improve, heading into the upcoming season. No disrespect for Cody Ware, but I think he should move on from racing (not just NASCAR, but racing IN GENERAL) and let him feel free to explore other ventures where he's gonna excel. Anyhoo, even though RWR is the laughing stock of NASCAR, I still hope for the best to their on-track results.

I would really love to see Yeley get the Daytona 500 attempt. He's earned it and deserves another shot. Except for the first time since his Gibbs days, he would actually be locked into the race. Regardless, he has earned this opportunity!

I'm actually proud of Rick Ware, think about what he has had to go through personally with family, and he runs in indy car also. In this time and day, I RESPECT RICK WARE!!! Please don't bring back Cody Ware

They are in a bad spot. The one team that has performed worse than them (#78 LiveFast) is no longer chartered so they now naturally become the #35, and #36 place chartered teams. While Nascar threw them a bone this year, I don't think they can do it again at the end of the season if both cars fall in the last three chartered team finishes. With the likes of Dale Jr and other legitimate teams wanting/needing a charter Nascar will need to act and pull a charter from them. I myself hope they do better, but I don't think those improvements will place them even 31st or 32nd in owner points at the end of 2024.
